Sama Says: ... This story arc will be wrapping up now! The series, however, lives on as always. :3 Aside from the RP, I will be starting a brand new story arc soon. Hopefully you'll enjoy this!
Episode VII: Beyond The Door
A lot of evil was being spread across the world. The Spooky Door was in danger of opening and whatever cataclysm had destroyed the desert could cover the entire world. Sitting behind his desk was none other than The Great Spoon, his eyes watching the screen in front of him intently. He was on comm with Phazon.
“We're here,” Phazon's face on the screen announced. “We have Tazzy with us, she's safe and has agreed to help us.”
“That's good.” Spoony nodded. “Though I have some bad news . . . Super Kimi has been kidnapped.”
“What!?” Phazon was shocked. “By who?”
Spoony's face fell. “It's hard to say, but . . . the movie theater was covered in pudding. It looks bad.”
Phazon shook his head, behind his glasses his eyes were closed. “That means . . .”
“I know.” Spoony nodded once more. “I have Jeremy scanning for any signs of trouble, and Crystal Rose and HA have been sent to save Kimi and Rowen.”
Phazon seemed a bit relieved. “It's important that we get Kimi back . . . you know what they could be trying.”
Spoony's face became grim. “I know . . . the legends say that the cataclysm . . . well, you already know.”
Phazon did know, and he indicated as much. “We'll be at the door, but it would be better if the Flan-I could stop them first.”
All at once a alien girl in a leopard skin bikini flew into the room. “Cha! We have a problem!”
The Great Spoon looked up at Lum, one of his secretaries and he looked uneasy. “What now?”
“Jeremy finished scanning . . . he didn't find the Pudding-I, but he found something else, cha.” Lum floated over to Spoony's laptop and typed in some quick keys, bringing up a live feed that Jeremy had found. Spoony slammed his hand down.
“CHoW, and he has the ARK Cannon!” Spoony was shocked. On the screen was Darth CHoW and the Global Defense Force members standing on the roof of a building. Spoony knew they now had a second problem to deal with.
“Kimi's captured, Sama's got to train that girl, Crystal and HA are busy trying to save Kimi . . . I guess I'll handle CHoW myself!” Spoony decided.
“Wait . . . I sense something.”
Pibb, the Master of the Custard-I Order stopped in his tracks. He, Avenger and Hammah were on their way to the Spooky Door. The Custard-I leader froze in his tracks and all at once he spun around. Avenger and Hammah, both of whom also sensed the coming presence, activated their sabers.
They found Crystal Rose and HA coming up on the same path.
“What the . . . oh, it's not them.” HA was a bit disappointed. He had hoped the presence he felt was the kidnappers, but instead it was the Custard-I.
“What are you guys doing out here?” Crystal asked skeptically.
“...” Avenger wasn't a big fan of the Flan-I and he decided to stay quiet.
“We are up to no harm, I assure you.” Pibb said as he stepped forward. “We're trying to stop a great evil from being released into the world.”
“The Spooky Door!” HA realized.
“Yes!” Hammah answered, probably quicker than he should have. “Wait . . . isn't that why you two are here?”
Crystal shook her head. “No, we're trying to help Kimi and Coojie. They got captured by some pudding guys.”
Pibb froze. He cast a glance towards the clear blue skies above the desert and he sighed for a moment. He knew that all of this could have been avoided if he had done things differently years ago. At least, that was his opinion. He turned to look at the Flan-I.
“Those 'pudding guys' are Pudding-I Knights . . . defeating them won't be an easy task.” Pibb informed them with a heavy heart and a sign on his breath. “Their master has taught them well . . . and unlike the rest of you, their entire lives have been nothing but training and preparation for this day.”
“Not as 'unlike' some of us as you might think.” Avenger replied, thinking about his own vendetta and the recent decisions that he had been faced with.
“It might be fun to fight someone on a better level than the usual flunkies.” HA grinned. Something about life-threatening battles always brought out the best in him.
“We've got to save Kimi and Coojie.” Crystal had already made up her mind.
“I know you are willing to help,” Pibb looked at Hammah, who nodded in confirmation. “Very well . . . since you are all sure.”
The Custard-I Master stepped forward and put his arms in front of him. He closed his eyes in concentration and then he forced his arms apart in either direction. A great mound of sand shot into the air and revealed a hidden door in the side of the desert. Pibb's breath became heavy and his eyes opened at length.
“Go . . . I have other errands to attend to.” Pibb turned and disappeared into the distance with speed that could hardly be kept up with.
The rescue team, now consisting of Crystal Rose and HA from the Flan-I and Hammah and Avenger of the Custard-I, hurried inside.
Not far away, Professor AGOI and Super Jimi hurried onward, following their friends.
“This is nice. I like this view. Could use a little more 'mass destruction', though.”
Darth CHoW, the original Fallen Flan-I Master of Teh City was standing on the top of a tall skyscraper. His helmet-covered eyes were scanning the horizon of the vest stretch of city and he was pleased. Turning his head behind him he found the giant robot: ARK Cannon.
“Well . . . shall we begin?” CHoW grinned.
“You know what I don't understand? I thought the Global Defense Force was with you.”
CHoW froze and spun around to face his original direction. Standing on the ledge of the roof was none other than The Great Spoon himself. Spoony was in full-Flan-I attire and he had his activated, Spoon-shaped saber in his hand.
“I was expecting someone else.” CHoW admitted, surprised to see The Spoon had come himself.
“Hate to break it to you, but Kimi's been captured by someone else. Rowen too.” Spoony informed CHoW of the new events and CHoW slapped his helmeted head.
“I go to all the trouble of tricking the GDF, freeing the ARK Cannon from Mustang's boys and then sealing the GDF in a cell at LASOOF HQ and Kimi gets captured by someone ELSE? This is just too much...”
Spoony raised an eyebrow. “So the GDF finally figured out you were using them?”
“Oh yeah.” CHoW nodded. “But luckily I was able to capture them. Even luckier, ARK here doesn't care if I'm good or evil... he just wants blow some stuff up.”
The Spoon shook his head. “Too bad I'm going to stop you.”
CHoW shrugged. “Heh, yeah, that's rich. I'll stay and watch you lose, but then I have to go save Rowen. ARK, kill – and make it quick!”
“Thought you'd never ask.” ARK grinned, shooting forward. As a giant Transformers-esque robot, he was a powerhouse. Throwing a punch at Spoony, the leader of Teh City had to dodge quickly. He sweat dropped . . . true, he was incredibly powerful himself, but he hadn't been in an actual fight since he had to fight Phazon a while ago!
“Well, this SUCKS.” Kimi complained loudly. She was still trapped in the cage with Rowen, though in some bit of relief Rowen had stayed on his side of the cage.
“What? That we're prisoners and will probably wind up being killed?” Rowen asked.
“Huh? Oh that too . . . but I'm really BORED.” Kimi sighed and flopped against the wall. “I mean, they could at least give us something to do.”
“We could kill each other. That would be fun.” Rowen suggested.
“Aw, shuddap.” Kimi replied irritatedly. “Or I just might.”
On the other side of the cage, Anemone suddenly reappeared. She floated to the cage and looked at the two inside. Just as she was going to say something sarcastic, Kimi realized Anemone was not alone. A tall woman with hair like fire stood behind her, dressed all in blue robes.
“Why is the boy here?” The redheaded woman asked.
“I had to capture them both.” Anemone replied in a somber voice.
“Hmm . . . we only need the girl for our purposes.” The redhead decided. “Kill him.”
“WHOA!” Rowen jumped up. “First off, I doubt you COULD, secondly, I'm evil too! Let me help you!”
At once the redhead held up her hand and a bolt of lightning struck Rowen in the stomach, knocking him backwards into the wall. Kimi jumped as she watched Rowen strike the wall at speeds that exceeded her own flight times.
“You cannot be trusted.” The redhead hissed. “You are one of them.”
“A Flan-I? 'cause I'm not...” Rowen stammered, trying to spit some of the blood out of his mouth as he talked.
“A man.” The redhead replied, her eyes thin slits. “I gave up on your kind a long time ago. Anemone – I will take the girl to the Door. She will be perfect. You kill him and then see if Koa has learned enough from that boy to destroy him.”
Kimi's eyebrow rose at this. “Wait a minute . . . Koa was the name of . . . AH! You're talking about Sama, aren't you?”
The woman looked at Kimi. “Do not concern yourself with such things . . . your destiny is bigger than any of the infidels you know now. There is no reason to worry about their trivial and pointless lives.”
Kimi blinked. “Oooookay, Miss. Crazy-Psycho-B--” She was cut off at the sound of an explosion. The redhead looked towards the door at the far side of the room and shook her head.
“The students of Pepper and Pibb have come. Kill them, and then the boy. I'm taking the girl now.” The woman floated forward – right through the wall of the cage – and grabbed Kimi by the throat. Kimi tried to struggle, but the woman shocked Kimi with a dose of lightning and she fell still. All at once, the redhead vanished – taking Kimi with her.
Anemone looked to Rowen and then turned to face the door. It was at that moment that the door exploded and the two Flan-I and their Custard-I companions ran into the room. Anemone stood perfectly still, watching as the four of them made a line in front of her.
“Where's Kimi?” Crystal demanded.
“Gone with my master.” Anemone replied in a low hiss. “You die now.”
HA laughed. “Lady, I don't care HOW tough you think you are . . . can't take us all!” HA grabbed two H-shaped sabers from under his cloaked and activated them. Then he flipped a switch on the saber in his right hand and the front two blades arched together, forming an 'A' shape.
Crystal flipped on her pink saber, Hammah activated both of his blades and Avenger turned his saber on and held it in front of him.
Anemone clapped her hands. Her saber (which is purple in color) floated off her belt and activated itself in the air. Then her saber split into several different exact copies and began flying at all four of the heroes, making them all dash and dodged out of the way.
HA was stuck in a corner of the room, swinging his H and A sabers at the eight purple blades that were circling his body, each looking for a opening to stab or slash him to death. Avenger was running along the outer rim of the room, sabers smashing into the wall behind him as he narrowly avoided them.
Crystal jumped all around the battlefield, using her blade to knock the sabers coming at her away, and also flashing her lightning attack to block some. Hammah was spinning around like a tornado, creating an arc with his spinning blades and blocking the blades coming at him.
“HA, from now on you need to be quiet when we fight new people!” Crystal yelled as she dodged away from one saber and destroyed two more with a flash of lightning.
“Yeah, you think?” HA's was too preoccupied to come up with his usual sarcastic retort. Instead he tossed his 'A' saber and it spun around the room like a boomerang, taking out several of the floating purple sabers before returning. While the saber was absent from his hand he used his own lightning to take a few more down.
Hammah ran in a line until several sabers followed behind him and then he ran right at Rowen's cage. Rowen meeped as Hammah turned at the last moment and one of the chasing sabers slashed the side of the cage. Rowen avoided being hit – but the wall of the cage was effectively destroyed.
“For the idiot's clone, that guy's okay.” Rowen decided as he kicked the broken cage wall away and jumped into the fray. The energy on the cage bars had prevented him from escaping, but now that it was gone he was ready for action. Unfortunately his saber had been taken from him – but he had his powers.
“Chaos . . . Spear!” Rowen wasted no time. Yellow energy flashed around his body and then condensed in his hand. He tossed a spear of chaos energy right at Anemone. She had her back to him and the speed of his chaos attack was too quick for her to dodge.
At least, Rowen had thought so.
Anemone spun around and her eyes flashed. Two of the sabers flew down and took the hit for her. Rowen punched the wall next to him. “This lady's got skills.” He decided he needed a more personal attack. He charged at her, his hand beginning to brim with lightning. As he jumped at her, he thrust out his hand.
Unfortunately, Anemone held out her palm too. Her hand hit his Chidori and suddenly the chidori was pushed back into Rowen's arm. Rowen screamed and was thrown back, his arm broken and blood flowing out from nearly every bit of his hand.
“Cure!”
Hammah looked over to see The Professor had entered the room and with a wave of his Keyblade he healed Rowen's arm. As usual, The Spork was quick enough to determine who was on who's side. The Professor turned to look at Anemone. “This isn't over yet.”
Jimi charged at Anemone, and she blasted him back with a Pudding Push. Jimi slammed into a wall, but as a super powered individual he was okay.
Avenger jumped down and did a spinning move, slashing two sabers out of the sky. He smirked to himself. All of his training may have been meant to destroy the Flan-I at one point, but now it was being used to save some of them. Right now, he was too busy to stop and contemplate life's little ironies.
Rowen looked around the room. The Pudding Sabers were everywhere, but he noticed that Anemone had not made any new copied. 'Maybe she can't . . .' Rowen decided it was worth the risk. He ran forward and started to yell to the Flan- and Custard-I's.
“Hey! If I get rid of those sabers, take her down quick!” Rowen commanded as he jumped between two sabers. He rolled under another one and had to quickly dive to his left to avoid the next one that tried to stab him. Almost sensing his plan, Anemone had suddenly turned all of the sabers at Rowen.
Rowen did not care. He did not like the idea of helping his enemies, but what other choice did he have? He could not beat Anemone alone, and if her plans succeeded . . . well, he didn't know what the plan was but he knew that he and CHoW were the only villains allowed to finish off Super Kimi and Wonder Sama.
“Chaos Blast!” Rowen dove into the air, his body glowing with ruby lights. In a instant several red explosions began to fly from his body and engulf the room. The Flan- and Custard-I all took cover behind pieces of the broken cage and other assorted things in the room like a table and a computer. When the light faded away, Rowen was down on his knees.
So was Anemone.
“You . . . are annoying.” Anemone growled, looking at Rowen.
“I told you . . . I got dibbs on beating those losers.” Rowen breathed back, just before he passed out. He had used too much energy.
Anemone got back to her feet. She was surrounded. Crystal stood to her side, extending her pink saber in a dangerous way. HA was behind her, both of his unique sabers ready to strike. The Professor also behind her with his keyblade poised for a strike. Jimi, Hammah and Avenger formed a second circle a bit further away – in case she tried to escape.
“You've got no chance lady.” Avenger growled.
“Nice game, but it's over.” HA agreed.
“You are too late.” Anemone smirked. “Master Pepsi has taken Super Kimi to the Door. Soon your reign will be over, and ours shall begin.”
With that, Anemone's body was suddenly covered in pudding! The pudding floated up and hit the ceiling, but as it did Anemone seemed to vanish and pass right through the ceiling.
“The Spork Jet is outside, let's follow her!” The Professor announced, and everyone quickly followed. Jimi grabbed the unconscious Rowen and put him over his arm, then he followed behind with the rest.
Sama was worried. He had not heard from Crystal or HA in a long time. That meant they hadn't saved Kimi and Rowen yet. Not only that, but Tazzy hadn't checked in for a while and now he couldn't get in touch with Spoony. He felt out of the loop. He turned around and looked over at Koa, who was looking at her Flansaber.
“Alright Koa, sorry about that.” Sama stepped away from the computer communicator. He had taken a break from her training to try to reach his friends, but since he could not do that he decided to resume his duties.
“It's okay . . .” Koa replied quietly.
Then all at once a ball of Pudding passed through the wall and out of it stepped Anemone. Koa jumped up and looked at her.
“Koa, the plan is ready. Kill the boy and then meet me at The Door.” Anemone commanded, not paying attention to Sama. She flew into another wall, was covered in Pudding and then vanished once more. Sama blinked and then rubbed his eyes.
“Am I going craz—eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah!”
Sama felt something white hot hit his back and the next thing he knew he was lying against the wall, upside down and he could feel blood flowing from his back. He looked up at Koa and she looked different. Her hair was wild and her eyes held a intense hatred.
“Koa, what are you doing?” Sama asked.
“Silence fool.” Koa snapped back. “I have learned enough of the Flan-I ways... now we can destroy your order! There is no need for Pepper's students any more!” Koa raised her hands and lightning flashed from out of her fingertips. The lightning became like strings that were attached to her fingers.
Sama gulped and quickly got back to his feet. “W-What are you . . .”
“I am Koa of the Pudding!” Koa spun around and her lightning whips flew like the tentacles of a jellyfish. They scraped across Sama's face and he yelled out as pain rushed through his mind. He fell back and landed against the wall, his vision obscured by blood.
“You mean . . . ah . . . damn . . .” Sama couldn't move. He tried to push himself up, but his body just would not listen. Koa stepped forward and was ready to strike again. However, just as she was about to something slammed through the roof and fell into the room behind her: It was Hammah!
He used the Custard-Push move to throw Koa into the computer where her lightning finger strands interacted with the electricity and gave her a real shock.
“Sama!” Hammah yelled.
“When did you show up?” Sama asked, a bit confused.
“We were flying overhead looking for that other girl when I sensed you were in trouble.” Hammah nodded. “I jumped out of the jet and came to help.”
Sama groaned as he tried to move, but he still couldn't. “Thanks . . .”
Hammah ran over and paused. He did not have healing powers, so he couldn't help Sama until the paralysis wore off on it's own. He turned around to check on Koa, only to find her standing directly behind him.
“Die!” She shouted and she wrapped the electric strands around his body. Hammah screamed as lightning zapped him from every direction. He closed his eyes and felt his body cooking like an egg on a hot sidewalk.
Then another bolt of lightning flashed; this time it was green. Koa had been the target and she fell backwards, releasing Hammah. Hammah stumbled and fell on one knee, which now made him equal to Sama, who was also on one knee.
“I can't move well enough to fight with a blade.” Sama breathed heavily.
“I haven't learned how to shoot lightning yet...” Hammah admitted.
“Well if we survive, I'll teach ya.” Sama offered. “I'll keep her distracted with the lightning, you try to score some hits with the sabers.”
“Sounds like a plan.” Hammah grinned.
Koa was back on her feet. She stared at Sama, whom she had called 'Master' just a few moments ago. Her eyes were as cold as glaciers in her stare. Sama felt betrayed. He knew now how his teacher, Crystal Rose, had felt when Rush and Cojo betrayed the order. It was a feeling more awful than he ever could have imagined.
Koa activated her saber and ran forward. Hammah ran to meet her and blocked her blade with one of his own and then tried to stab with the other. Koa had to move to the side and Sama took the opportunity to send a spike of lightning at her. She jumped up and avoided it, but Hammah was able to meet her in mid-air and slash with his sabers. She blocked one of them, but the other landed it's mark.
Koa hit the ground and grunted. Sama blasted her with a bolt of his jade-colored lightning. Koa let out a gasp and then she passed out. She was completely unconscious. Sama slowly got back to his feet, finally starting to recover.
“That was brutal.” Sama wiped the mixture of sweat and blood from his head.
“It's not over yet . . .” Hammah sighed. “We saved Rowen, but that other Pudding-I girl escaped, and some woman kidnapped Kimi!”
Sama closed his eyes. “Bah... I was so concerned with being a good teacher that I let my friends down... and all along, I was teaching a traitor.”
Hammah looked down at his shoes. Then he looked up and patted Sama on the back. “Hey . . . come on! No time for pity-parties, we have to go! Brother and Avenger are on their way to stop that other girl, but you and I can go look for Kimi!”
Sama nodded. “Yeah... you're right.” He paused. “And... thanks, for saving my life.”
“You saved mine too!” Hammah replied.
The two hurried (as quickly as their injuries would allow) to get to a computer so they could scan for Kimi's location.
ARK Cannon's arms could transform into cannons; that was not very surprising. Those cannons were firing giant pink blasts from them right at their target: The Great Spoon.
Spoony was jumping across the roof of the skyscraper in a desperate attempt to dodge the giant laser blasts. He was one of the greatest Flan-I to ever live, and had other powers that he did not reveal often; but the speed at which ARK could fire was incredible and it was difficult for Spoony to dodge. He jumped over a blast of energy and then had to roll when he hit the ground to avoid a second one.
He rolled left to avoid a third blast and immediately jumped up and to the right to dodge the fourth. Finally he whipped out his Spoon-shaped Flansaber and blocked the fifth with it, catching it in the spoon basin. He raised the saber over his head and then swung it down – sending the blast right back at ARK!
The pink ball of laser had turned red hot as the heat from Spoony's flansaber increased it's power and when it hit ARK in the cannon-hand the giant robot grunted and fell back a bit. He raised is other hand and a compartment on his chest opened and several more lasers fired at Spoony.
Spoony held his saber in front of his face and concentrated. The flan pushed the lasers away from him. Explosions rang out wherever the balls of laser landed; but Spoony was safe in the middle of it all. ARK looked angry and he charged forward – the lasers now becoming beam swords and extending from the cannon barrels.
Spoony was in trouble, but he managed to slip between the robot's legs and get behind his back. Spoony jumped up and landed between ARK's shoulder blades, then he slashed three times in quick succession at ARK's head before he slammed the saber into ARK's neck. Electricity sparked from under the robot's metal skin and Spoony withdrew his blade and jumped away as the robot collapsed; completely fried.
“... That . . . not fair . . .” CHoW was making whimpering noises. “That was my big comeback! BAH!”
“You lost, CHoW because of your own selfishness.” Spoony spoke dramatically. “That, and I'm not called 'GREAT' Spoon for nothing.”
CHoW muttered something under his breath. Then he reached for his saber. At that moment, however, Anemone appeared in the sky above them. Both the Flan-I Master and his fallen counterpart stared up at the girl. Anemone stared down at the robot.
“Excellent. I can make this work.” Anemone grinned, then she flew right at the ARK Cannon. When she hit it, she was covered in pudding just like when she flew through walls. Pudding began to cover ARK, filling up the broken holes where Spoony's attack had damaged.
“Oh crud.” Spoony gulped.
“... Somehow I doubt he's still on my side after this.” CHoW sighed.
ARK rose back to his feet; but now Anemone was in control. She had assimilated with the ARK Cannon to make a strange hybrid of biological life, advanced artificial intelligence, hardware, software and pudding. ARK looked up back at the sky where the Spork Jet appeared on the horizon. ARK flew up using his jets and started to fire several lasers.
“Uh oh...” The Spork saw the blasts and knew his jet wouldn't survive a direct assault. He could also sense The Spoon down on the rooftop. He pulled a lever and his seat ejected from out of the plane. The plane, now under the control of Eddie the A.I., took evasive actions to escape the lasers.
The Professor landed on the roof and looked from the robot to The Spoon. Spoony did not look thrilled to see him.
“What say we forget our differences for now and team up?” Professor AGOI asked quickly.
“Doesn't look like I have a choice.” Spoony replied.
ARK turned around and tried to kick The Professor, which would have been fatal for sure, but he jumped away and then turned in time to fire a Firaga. The flames licked at ARK, melting some of his metal body and heating the pudding that had mixed into it. Spoony ran and jumped over The Professor, slashing at ARK as he came down in front of him.
ARK received a deep cut to his chest and Spoony managed to get clear of his legs. ARK started shooting again, but The Professor quickly cast reflect and knocked the lasers back at their originator.
“I... uh... should go... um... get some food... or something...” CHoW was getting nervous. It looked like ARK was going to be soundly defeated, and he did not want to be here when he was the only target left. However, as he turned to run away he came face to face with himself.
“Hello CHoW!” Rush grinned, his blue saber active in his hand.
“Didn't I capture you?” CHoW blinked, suddenly getting a headache.
“Yeah . . . but the Global Defense Force escaped from LASOOF HQ and freed me along the way! I decided I had to come and repay the favor.” Rush had narrowed eyes and a angry expression across his face.
“Great.” CHoW quickly activated his saber and tried to stab Rush through the heart; but Rush fell backwards on purpose and avoided the stab. He then stuck out his foot, tripping CHoW. CHoW stumbled forward to the edge of the roof. He tried to catch his balance, but to no avail. He fell right off the side of the roof.
Rush rushed over to the side and looked over, but there was no sign of CHoW on the ground, in the air or anywhere else. He punched the railing of the roof, irritated that once again his evil side had gotten away. Rush sighed and looked over at The Spoon and The Spork. He could not return to the life he'd once had until he settled the score with his evil self.
Still . . . he aimed his hand and shot a bolt of lightning into one of ARK's cannon mounts; causing it to explode and pause ARK in mid-attack. Rush waved to the two who still fought and he jumped off the edge of the roof, ready to disappear mysteriously until next time.
The Professor looked towards ARK and then to The Spoon. He knew that Anemone was using the ARK as a kind of battle suit, and he suspected that if he could shut down the ARK's operations it would lure the Pudding-I out into the open.
The Professor charged forward and jumped onto ARK's back, as Spoony had before. However, with Anemone's powers now added to it's own, ARK was able to stop The Spork in his tracks by encasing his feet in pudding. Professor AGOI growled and slashed at the robot's back, but it had no visible effect.
Suddenly Spoony charged forward and assaulted ARK with a mental barrage. He used the Flan to effect a huge blast against the machine. Anemone screamed and was thrown clear out (as usual, being surrounded by pudding when she passed through a solid object) and landing on the edge of the roof. ARK fell and The Professor quickly ran forward and started tinkering.
Spoony ran after Anemone and as she climbed to her feet he knocked her back down with a Flan Push. Her eyes opened to find Spoony's flansaber centimeters away from her nose. She closed her eyes and spoke in a loud, vicious voice.
“Go on! Kill me, as your kind have always done!” She hissed.
“...” Spoony turned his saber off. “The Flan-I aren't murderers. Maybe you didn't hear, but Pepper is a traitor to our Order. He murdered the Custard-I on his own and I'm willing to bet he did the same to your Order. You shouldn't judge me based on my Master's mistakes.”
Anemone stared at Spoony for a moment. “... Your mind games won't work on me!” She was covered in Pudding and then sunk through the floor, escaping into the skyscraper's inside.
The Great Spoon sighed. “Seems like every time we stop one enemy, a new one pops up. . . Hey, what are you doing?”
He had turned around and found The Professor hard at work.
“... This is eventful.” Phazon said sarcastically.
Tazzy, Phazon, TS and Rikku were gathered around The Spooky Door. There had been no monsters or minions or traps, and aside from an explosion in the distance a while ago, there was nothing exciting at all going on. They had seen The Spork Jet take off not long after the explosion, but they had no idea what the others were doing.
“Maybe everyone else stopped the Pudding-I and we don't even have to be here.” Tazzy suggested optimistically.
“No. You were right to wait.”
All four of them looked up to see a tall man with dark hair. It was Pibb. He hurried over to where they were just as the group got to their feet. Tazzy nodded to the Custard-I Master.
“Do you know something about the door?” Tazzy asked.
“Yes... I was one of the people to open it.” Pibb announced, which got a reaction from Rikku.
“What!? Really? What's in there?” Rikku asked excitedly.
The response to that came not in a somber answer, but in Pibb lifting his head so that he could stare at the sky. Then the Custard-I spoke then, but not to those in front of him. “Why don't you tell them, my old friend?”
The four quickly cast their eyes beyond Pibb. They saw no one. Rikku scratched her head. “Uhh... is this guy a little off in the head?”
“No...” Phazon whispered. He sensed a familiar presence.
Pibb took a step to the side and behind him was a can of Soda, floating in the air. It was bent and crumpled, but it still contained the soul of the First Flan-I.
“Beyond The Door . . . is the spirit of a Priestess from an Ancient Dimension adjacent to our own. She mastered the skills of Flan, Custard and Pudding in her world and used them to bring pain and suffering to the far corners of her planet. Finally, the people grew to hate her so much they cast her into a sub-dimension. This door is a gateway to that sub-dimension.” Pepper informed them all.
“Whoa...” Tazzy shook her head. “So our powers are from another dimension? That's crazy!”
“Indeed . . . The Priestess cannot retain a solid form in our world. Her body died long ago in the sub-dimension. Pepsi was driven crazy by the Priestess' story... we all heard it when we obtained our powers. Pepsi has spent years trying to create the perfect new body for the Priestess. She tried using herself, but she was too old. She took only female apprentices so that she could use one of them as a new body, but none of them ever worked... Though now she has found a suitable replacement body for the Priestess.”
“She has?” Rikku asked, her eyes becoming wide.
“Who?” TS blinked, curiosity brimming in his mind.
Pepper allowed a laugh to escape his can. “Why don't you see for yourself?”
Pibb's eyes widened and he spun around: So did everyone else with him.
The woman in the blue robes who had fiery hair was standing in front of The Spooky Door. She was holding Kimi by her neck and she had a wild look in her eyes. Phazon, TS and Tazzy all activated their flansabers at the same time and Rikku took a step back, deciding to handle the role of healing rather than attacking.
“... Pibb.” Pepsi was staring right at her former fling. “... Do not interfere!”
“What, no greeting for me?” The Soda can shot into the sky. Pepsi looked up at it and she laughed a shrill, cold “Hah!”
“Pepper! My love... Your soul is so incomplete I could hardly sense you... Are you even truly alive in that form?” Pepsi asked in a cruel, mocking tone.
“Perhaps not!” Pepper replied. “But I'd rather lose my body than my free-will. You are nothing but a mindless servant for the Priestess. She has enslaved you and you can't even see it.”
Pepsi's eyes narrowed. She held out her hand and a flash of lightning shot through Pepper's can. The can of Soda collapsed onto the sand, the dark drink spilling out into a pool. Pibb closed his eyes for a moment.
“If we attack her now we might hurt Kimi!” Tazzy bit her lip. They had to stop Pepsi, but if it put Kimi's life in danger then how could they willingly attack? Before she could make a choice, Pepsi spun around and aimed her empty hand at them. Quickly the four split into opposite directions as a bolt of lightning shot towards them. The explosion was enough to send sand flying into orbit.
“I've never seen lightning that strong!” Phazon growled, and that thought sent shockwaves of fear through his companions. After all, once they had considered him their greatest threat. Tazzy jumped up and spun around in the air. As she did she threw her saber and it sailed straight at Pepsi.
Pepsi, however, pushed it away with a Pudding Push. Then she shot a blast of lightning at TS, who had been trying to sneak up on her. TS managed to escape from the blast by jumping behind a sand dune, but the escape was narrow. Pepsi spun back around to find Pibb standing in front of her. He slashed his saber in a downward arc at her, but with only milliseconds between his attack and the time the saber should have killed her, she was able to dodge away.
Pepsi floated up and opened her mouth; out came a bolt of lightning! It struck Pibb in the leg and he fell to the ground, his blood oozing across the bright yellow sand. He gritted his teeth, but he saw Pepsi floating away from him.
Then a gigantic pink laser beam shot just inches above Pepsi's head. All eyes on the scene turned to the right, where the gigantic ARK Cannon stood atop a sand dune. Standing on either side of the monolithic machine were Spoony and The Spork.
“Heheheh . . . reprogramming this guy was sheer genius!” Professor AGOI declared. “I removed that pesky desire to destroy all lifeforms, though... I should give him some less-violent AI when this crisis is past, though.”
“Why you think I'll let you keep that is a mystery to me.” Spoony shook his head. “But since we have a truce, we might as well forget the arguing for now.”
Pepsi growled deep in her throat, but then she was struck from behind. Spinning around she saw Crystal Rose, HA and Avenger standing on the sand dune on the opposite side.
“No way this lady can take us all.” Avenger sneered. “She's going down; once and for all.”
“I'd be HAPPY to oblige with that idea!” HA grinned in a homicidal way.
“Let's just stop the baddies, okay?” Crystal wasn't sure she could handle both a revenge-happy Custard-I in addition to her usual payload of HA's dangerous persona.
“...” Pepsi was silent. She did not seem afraid, though. Defeating all of them would be easy . . . once she gave up the charade. Then she felt a presence that irritated her and she spun around to see two messy-haired boys standing in the sand near where she had taken Pepper down.
“Heya Psycho Queen!” Sama waved. He was still bleeding from his previous fight, but he had a grin on his face.
“We stopped your apprentices.” Hammah told her, crossing his arms. “You're all out of luck... you're practically up against an entire army!”
Pepsi paused. To her right was ARK, Spoony and The Professor. On her left was Avenger, HA and Crystal Rose. Below her was Tazzy, Phazon, TS, Rikku and Pibb. In front of her she had Sama and Hammah. The odds were overwhelmingly against her.
“I guess you're lucky...” Pepsi grinned. “You'll get to meet my Queen!” She turned and tossed Kimi at The Spooky Door. There were several gasps from the large crowd that had gathered to stop her and for a moment Sama felt very cold, as if he had let down the hero he'd sworn to help.
Kimi slammed into The Spooky Door; and the door swung open! A great light filled the entire Desert of Desserts, but it was unlike any light any of the crowd had ever seen (save the exceptions of Pibb and Pepsi). This light did not make things brighter, but darker. The whole world seemed to be covered in a darkness so thick it surpassed anything that had ever been seen before.
“YOU HAVE DONE WELL PEPSI! YOU HAVE BROUGHT ME A SUITABLE VESSEL FOR THIS WOLRD: NOW I CAN BEGIN MY CONQUEST!”
The “light of darkness” faded away and while the world remained in a state of perpetual twilight, sight returned to those in the desert. What they saw froze them all to the bones. Sama's jaw dropped when he realized exactly what it was they were up against.
“Aww . . . Potatoes.” He whispered.
“Oh yeah! This is a lot better!” The Priestess flew up into the air, looking at her new body. The green of the bandanna and jacket had become severely faded and looked almost black. The white was now gray, and the once brown hair had changed to be as black as pitch. Her skin had transformed into a chalk white and her eyes were filled with a deep hatred and incomparable evil.
Super Kimi did not look quite the same as she had before.
“This will do nicely, Pepsi. When the world had been ravaged of all life, I shall reward you deeply.” Priestess Kimi chuckled in a evil voice.
The first person to spring into action was one who had not been there before. He had been busy setting the unconscious Rowen in the Spork Jet for safe keeping. Super Jimi flew up to eye-level with Priestess Kimi. This time, the role of hero and villain had been reversed.
00000
Lightning rocketed around Jimi’s fist, as the clone focused, smashing Priestess Kimi’s cheek, and sending the demon into the sand, sending up a wave of the dirt, obscuring the landing.
There was a pause, Jimi floating and looking down to where he had punched the person he was cloned from.
“It can’t be that easy…” Jimi muttered, squinting and flying down, a hushed silence having descended.
“Heh heh heh…” Priestess Kimi chuckled, suddenly flying up from dirt, “Is that your best, boy? I’ve seen better.”
“Well you ain’t see nothin’ yet!” Jimi growled, fire erupting around him as he launched downwards, pulling his fist back again.
The Demon teleported, appearing behind Jimi, who stopped and turned, and suddenly found sand diving all around him, Priestess Kimi manipulating the desert floor, and the fiery Jimi quickly found himself trapped beneath the dirt.
“Brother!” Hammah shouted, eyes wide. He was about to run forward to help, but was stopped.
“Wait!” The Professor shouted, “Jimi isn’t done yet.”
The sand shook, and Jimi erupted from it, now surrounded by rocks all on him, much like the fire had been earlier.
“I have a quarter of the Golden Sun in me…I think the elements are on my side,” Jimi grinned, then flew forward again, slower, but with a much more powerful blow.
Priestess Kimi laughed again, moving out of the way, then twisting her leg, catching Jimi in the gut at the last second, breaking through the clone’s rock armor, and up into the sky.
She flew up again, the rocks falling off from Jimi as he lost control, then slammed him in the back, now sending the boy into the ground.
“No…I…Have…to…win…” Jimi muttered, getting up slowly. It was only because of his super powers had been able to take those beatings.
“…” Pibb commented, then looked up towards Sama and Hammah… “The Chosen One…Maybe…Sama, Hammah, over here!”
Sama looked towards Pibb, then Hammah, and the two nodded, and ran down towards Pibb.
Jimi was now surrounded by ice, firing several blade thin shards at Priestess Kimi, who merely laughed and dodged them easily, toying with the clone.
“There is only one way I fear we might be able to stop this demon…Sama…You are the Flan-I’s Chosen One…And if you can master Flan and Custard, you stand a chance at stopping this demon, even without Pudding,” Pibb said quickly to them, grunting from his wounded leg.
“…Cure…” AGOI muttered, healing Pibb’s leg, who merely nodded in thanks.
“But…How am I going to master Custard so quickly?!” Sama wondered, looking up at Pibb in shock.
“Or Flan…” HA chuckled, earning a glare from Crystal Rose.
“There…is a technique I made, long ago…A Custard-I should be able to temporarily give you his powers,” Pibb answered, looking towards the can of soda on the ground nearby.
“Well I’m not doing that,” Avenger scoffed, raising an eyebrow.
“You couldn’t if you wanted to. Only those related to Sama can do this,” Pibb answered, looking towards Hammah now, who was only half paying attention, more worried about his clone brother, Jimi.
“But I don’t have any family who knows Custard!” Sama shouted, “Heck, I’m the only one who knows Flan!”
Pibb merely smiled, then looked towards Hammah, “Hammah…He might not be family, but he carries your DNA too. He is your clone after all.”
“Well then get this thing done with so we can save Kimi!” Sama shouted, exasperated.
“The process takes some time. We must stall until then,” Pibb told Sama, “One at a time, we’ll have to take our chances fighting the Demon…”
Meanwhile, Jimi’s clothing was rattling around him, wind blowing all around the clone, who shot forward like a bullet, pounding the Priestess Kimi, who oofed slightly and flew back, then laughed delightedly again.
“Ahhh…It’s been so long since I had a fight like this!” Priestess Kimi chuckled, “For a male, you’re not half bad.”
“Not half bad huh?” Jimi muttered, then shot forward again, missing though.
Priestess Kimi laughed, then clapped her hands, and four clones suddenly formed around Jimi.
“Clones of yourself? A bit ironic,” Jimi commented, as the original Demon snapped her fingers, and her clones flew at her clone.
Jimi closed his eyes and placed his hands together, the clones tackling all around him, pulling him down.
Fire erupted from Jimi, melting one of the clones.
Rocks shot from the ground, clapping together and destroying a second.
Ice formed around the third, which then fell like a rock and shattered against one of the stones from earlier.
Lightning ripped through the fourth, destroying it.
“Heh…Lookie here…been a while…” Jimi grinned, flying back up, severely hurt, but not down yet. Ice encased his legs, a rock armor over his back, chest, and stomach, fire around his arms, while a lightning helmet covered his head. (A.N. In Golden Sun, Lightning is part of Wind.)
“Doesn’t matter,” Priestess Kimi laughed, waving her hand, “You’re still not going to win.”
Jimi growled and flew forward again, and he and Kimi engaged in an aerial battle, both moving incredibly quickly, though it was obvious to the others, that while Jimi was doing his best, Kimi was toying with him.
Hammah had his hands on Sama’s shoulder, after a Cure to both of them from The Spork.
Custard energy flowed from Hammah into Sama, both of them concentrating hard, but the process had barely begun.
Elemental Jimi was punched hard in the gut by Priestess Kimi, Jimi’s form failing, the fire dieing down, the lightning dissipating, the rocks crumbling, and the ice melting away.
He hit the sand hard, eyes blank.
“Now…you die!” Priestess Kimi laughed, holding her hands up, Flan, Custard, and Pudding energy circling around it for a few seconds, then thrust it downwards. If it hit Jimi, their wouldn’t be anything left to come back from
“Reflect!” a voice shouted, and the energy hit a magical shield, stopping, then being thrust away, though barely.
Professor AGOI stood by Jimi, eyes enraged as he held up his Keyblade, pointing it towards Priestess Kimi.
“I’ve lost one family member to the Darkness…” AGOI said slowly, “I won’t lost another! THUNDAGA!”
Lightning ripped from AGOI’s Keyblade, The Spork enraged, and Priestess Kimi was hit by the magical lightning, though barely phased by it.
Priestess Kimi flew down, letting loose a powerful punch, fueled by Flan and directed by Custard.
The Spork held up his Keyblade, but Kimi’s arm turned into pudding, in an attempt to go through the blade!
AGOI was pushed away roughly, the punch unable to pierce his Keyblade!
“Nice try…” AGOI muttered, getting up slowly, “But this blade is magical…Can’t phase through it.”

Priestess Kimi looked at The Professor for a moment. She could not pierce his keyblade, so she would have to use another tactic. Soaring high into the colorless sky a light began to shine around her body. A aura was being cast from her skin, casting down the only light from the sea of darkness that had once been the sky.
Professor AGOI was cautious for a moment. The Priestess from the other dimension was very powerful, much more so than he expected. As he looked up at her, something else occurred to him. The sky was no longer just dark – it had been drained of all color. It was blank, as if their entire sky had been a drawing on a chalkboard that was now cleaned.
“What in the world is happening...” The Professor wondered aloud to himself. Suddenly he saw Priestess Kimi coming at him with speeds that rivaled anything on the planet. He jumped wildly out of the way, but her assault was so fast that it did not matter. Although she hit the ground and not the Professor, the shockwave sent both the deserts ands and The Spork flying through the sky. When he crashed to the ground, he felt himself in intense pain. He wanted to cry out but he held his tongue.
“I got her!” HA jumped from the sand dunes and sailed through the air, his cape billowing out behind him. He slashed his H and A sabers with expert precision as he flew in the sky. The rainbow of colors from the blades arced across the colorless sky as he made his move.
Priestess Kimi flew to the side, dodging his impressive assault as if it was nothing. HA growled as he landed on the sand dunes and then jumped again. Priestess Kimi opened her mouth and out came a gust of flames grander than even the Uchiha clan could produce. The fireball flew at HA and he was forced to drop his sabers as he shot forth a barrage of lightning. The path of the burning ball of yellow and orange was changed and HA's life continued on.
He rolled away from the sand dune and called his sabers to him mentally. Then he jumped into the sky with one of the impressively high jumps that only ninja and those trained in dessert powers can accomplish. He made a stab with his A saber, but Priestess Kimi caught it with her open palm.
“Don't you realize the futility of your attacks?” She wondered aloud. She pushed the saber away with a Flan Push and sent HA flying into the desert sands below. Normally he would have dodged the landing, but he was sent with such force that even he wasn't quick enough. As he tried to get off the ground, Priestess Kimi kicked him with both feet using her full strength.
“Ah...” HA coughed. “I think you broke a rib...”
Priestess Kimi knew that an attack was coming from behind her. She now had senses sharper than any Flan-, Custard- or Pudding-I. Just before Avenger's blade cut her in half, she spun around and caught the saber in mid-air. Avenger growled and jumped back, releasing his hold on his blade. Priestess Kimi opened her mouth and spit out a bolt of lightning towards Avenger as he fell; but he made it to the ground and rolled away before it hit. He saw his saber on the ground about a hundred yards in front of him. Kimi had dropped it.
Avenger dashed through the sand, leaving a trail of shallow footprints behind in his wake. Priestess Kimi flew down and touched her feet to the ground. The sand began to collect and pick up, becoming a wave behind Avenger as he ran towards the spot his saber had fallen to. He dove at the last second, grabbing the saber and managing to avoid the wave of crushing desert that crashed down seconds later.
After that he jumped high in the air, activated the blade and came down like a swooping bird towards Priestess Kimi. He had almost smashed into her head with his saber when she vanished. She had moved in the blink of an eye and reappeared behind Avenger. He spun around to slash at her, but she caught the saber with one hand and blasted forth a cloud of lightning with the other. Avenger grunted and tumbled backwards, falling into the sand.
“Bah... I knew she was tough, but that's just insane!” Avenger grunted.
“None of you can survive this.” Priestess Kimi announced with darkness in her voice.
Just as lightning had struck Avenger, a new bolt of thunder hit Priestess Kimi from above. She growled and turned to see Crystal Rose standing on a nearby dune of sand. She had her pink saber in one hand and her other hand was being used to channel the blue thunder. Crystal jumped from the sand dune, flipped in the air several times, and landed next to Kimi. She slashed; but Kimi was able to block the saber with a bare palm as she had before.
Crystal smirked. Kimi narrowed her eyes and quickly tossed Crystal away and spun around, using her foot to block Tazzy's saber. Priestess Kimi was too fast, even for skilled Flan-I like them. The demon that had taken over Kimi roared and unleashed several bolts of cerulean thunder from her mouth. Tazzy had to spin her saber to block it.
Crystal was back on her feet and charging forward. She spun around and slashed the saber at Kimi's back. The Priestess was struck and lost some hair, but the actual damage done was insignificant. She flew up into the sky and held out both of her hands. Flan, Custard and Pudding powers were all at her fingertips. She clapped her hands together and when she threw them apart several shining beams of energy rained down at the two Flan-I girls.
Crystal and Tazzy both yelled as they tried to block and avoid the energy rain. It wasn't high powered enough to kill them, but it was enough to defeat them. Neither could move – this energy that rained down had some paralyzing property just like the electric whips Koa had controlled.
“We have to do something . . .” Crystal muttered.
“Ah... maybe we can...” Tazzy moved her hands in the sand and far beneath the layers of sand she was able to feel solid stone. Quickly the stone jumped up and sent Crystal into the sky riding on it. Knowing what her friend had in mind, Crystal took a deep breath and then released it – ushering out a hurricane-force wind right at Priestess Kimi.
Priestess Kimi was thrown through the air like a child's kite caught in a tornado. It was as she flew that Spoony jumped off a mound of sand and held his hands in front of him. He had incredible powers that he often suppressed – but today he could not afford to do so. He started to charge his powers, but all at once Priestess Kimi stopped spinning wildly in the air.
In fact, the air stopped blowing her around – it was now aiming at Spoony! Priestess Kimi had somehow copied Crystal's airbending powers and was now using them on Spoony. Spoony was caught in a updraft and thrown right into the stone column that had risen Rose into the air. With the column shattered, Crystal fell off! Tazzy was able to bend the sand enough to break her fall, but the older Flan-I was out of commission – just as many of the others were.
“We're running out of distractions...” Avenger muttered. He had crawled towards Professor AGOI.
“Yeah... but we have to have faith! Sama and Hammah can pull this off... I know they can.” The Spork cast a glance at the sidekick and his exact genetic duplicate.
Spoony jumped up from the debris of Tazzy's column and shot towards Priestess Kimi. He activated his saber and slashed at her, resuming the traditional Flan-I assault. She stuck out her hand, hitting him in the chest with a open palm. It did not hurt him much, but ice quickly spread over his body and he fell back to the sand below. The ice shattered and he was free – but he was also unconscious.
“She's beating everyone!” Tazzy gulped.
“Kimiko . . .”
Priestess Kimi spun around. Phazon was floating in the air behind her. His Flan-I powers were not in command – but the Shinigami skills he had stolen were now in full flight. He held a sword rather than a flansaber and he seemed to pause in the air, his eyes hidden by the dark glasses. In the outline of the colorless sky, his white suit stood out.
“Your powers do not affect me.” Priestess Kimi hissed.
“We'll see . . .” Phazon shot forward and slashed his Zanpakuto. At the last second he dropped his zanpakuto (it had been an illusion and not his real one) and instead slashed out with his flansaber. Priestess Kimi was struck and fell backwards in the sky.
Phazon pause in mid-air and smirked. It took a lot of concentration on his Flan-I skills to actually walk through the air; but it was worth it. He knew he could not finish this battle – he was doing as they all had done: Stalling for time. Still . . . every attack that connected was one more reason to think their plan would work in the end.
Priestess Kimi looked up at him and opened her mouth. Phazon froze as he saw what she spit out at him.
“Ultima!” Priestess Kimi roared, unleashing the same devastating attack that would have drained The Professor if he used it. Phazon summoned his true Zanpakuto with one hand and his flansaber in the other and tried to block the blast. He was able to stop it enough that he would survive; but he fell to the ground and landed in the sand roughly.
“Heeey! Be careful! You can't drag us to this door and then get killed!” Rikku scolded him. She knew she couldn't fight Kimi; instead she had been running around to everyone who was injured and giving them some potion. Unfortunately, she was running low on the healing concoction.
TS had seemed to vanish from the battlefield . . . in truth, he had done no such thing. All at once a blast of pink light struck Priestess Kimi from behind and she fell from the sky like a fly in a electric zapper. TS was riding on the back of ARK. TS activated his flansaber and as they flew closer he slashed at Kimi.
Unfortunately, Priestess Kimi had grabbed the saber and thrown TS from ARK's back. Then she kicked the ARK Cannon in the back and sent him flying to the surface of the planet. Priestess Kimi had almost effectively defeated them all.
“Hammah, everybody's getting butchered out there.” Sama growled, his eyes watching their usual hero soundly defeat everyone who usually helped her save the world. “Are you done yet?”
Hammah was behind Sama, trying to transfer his powers to the red-jacketed teen. Hammah fell to his knees and began to pant. “Yeah . . . I think . . . that's all I have to give . . .” Hammah looked Sama in the eyes. “Please . . . help my brother . . . and the others.”
Sama nodded and stood up. If what The Professor had suggested was correct, he now had powers of Flan and Custard. That – and the fact that people had been telling him for the last couple of years that he was 'The Chosen One' – would hopefully be enough to stop Priestess Kimi.
“Kimi-chan!” Sama yelled up towards the demon that now controlled his friend. “Enough of these games! Let's get serious and finish this!”
Priestess Kimi vanished from the sky. Sama blinked and quick turned around. Priestess Kimi was not behind him, as he had expected. Caught by complete surprise, he jumped up into the air – fearing she had reappeared beneath his feet. Unfortunately, while he was in the air he was suddenly covered by a mixture of Flan, Custard and Pudding. Priestess Kimi appeared from the night sky, revealing that she had gained the power to turn invisible!
“Am I the only one who thinks leaving the fate of the world up to HIM might have been a bad idea?” HA's sarcasm did not dampen, despite his injuries and the gravity of the situation they all faced.
“... Uh... what? Whoa, is that Kimi?” Rowen had just woken up, late for the party but none the less there. He saw the newly-evil version of Kimi floating in the sky; a ball of flan, pudding and custard beneath her. That ball was getting smaller and smaller by the second, like Kimi was trying to crush whatever was inside.
“Yeah. Kimi was possessed by a ancient priestess demon from another dimension and Hammah gave his powers to the buffoon to try to stop her.” Darth ChoW's voice glided to Rowen's ears from behind and he turned to see his Master standing there.
“Wha . . . so Kimi's on our side now?” Rowen was really confused.
“No . . . if Kimi wins this battle, she'll destroy our world. All of our lives will end and our souls will be devoured by the demon, adding to it's already formidable powers.” CHoW admitted, his eyes never leaving the sight of Kimi.
“Oh... so... fighting Kimi will save the world? I guess we outta help out this time!” Rowen smirked.
“She's already beaten. . . well, everyone.” CHoW shrugged his shoulders. “We'd be crushed like tin cans – make the jokes if you want to, I'll dish 'em right back out – Only thing we should do is . . .”
Whatever CHoW had to say, only Rowen heard it. At that moment the ball of dessert exploded into every direction and a great light engulfed the sky. At first it looked like it was Priestess Kimi's doing and she had destroyed Sama – but when the eyes of those on the ground were turned skyward, they saw a different scene.
Priestess Kimi was floating above, surrounded by the strange “light of darkness” that had engulfed her earlier. Lower in the sky was Wonder Sama, but now he was enveloped by his own aura. Yellow light was radiating from his body and his hair had become spiky and blond.
“. . . Man, I always thought we were more original than this.” Super Sama lamented, but that would be the only crack in the fourth wall for this one. He flew straight up until he was on eye level with Priestess Kimi.
“So . . . the Llama gave you his powers . . . you plan to use Flan and Custard together to stop me? IGRATE! I command Pudding as well! You will be destroyed!” Priestess Kimi roared.
“Looks that way . . .” Super Sama looked at his new appearance and shrugged. Clenching his fists he cast his eyes to the superhero he had served since he was forced into the job. Then he had been a simple thief who had no choice but to help 'until Rush got back'... now, he was faced with a dilemma. He knew saving the world was important, but . . . no one had mentioned what would happen to his friend during this fight.
“I can read your eyes. You can't win this fight. You're concerned that you'll destroy the girl: Well since you can't win anyway, you might as well know . . . she is no more. I am all that remains.” Priestess Kimi hissed in an icy cold voice.
Super Sama clenched his fists tighter. Then he looked up . . . and smirked. “I guess being locked in a sub-dimension for hundreds of years stops you from watching much TV, so it's not your fault you don't know... but... the good guys are NEVER gone.”
Super Sama shot forward and threw a punch; but Priestess Kimi caught it and twisted his arm around all the way. Super Sama screamed out in pain; and Priestess Kimi took full advantage of that to kick him repeatedly – while still holding his arm. She did not care if his arm ripped off or if his heart stopped; either one would suffice. However, he clenched his eyes shut and threw a second punch – this one connected and knocked Priestess Kimi through the air.
Super Sama panted several times as he clutched his chest. An annoyed Kimi had kicked him before on several occasions, but she always held back the full extent of her Super Strength. That was not the case now; and Sama realized just how painful things got for CHoW and Rowen.
“Ah... assuming the world isn't destroyed, I'm going to be in a lot of pain tomorrow.” Sama sighed, scratching his head.
Priestess Kimi did not seem to care for jokes. Instead she clapped her hands together. Out of the 'light of darkness' aura around her, four gigantic shadow arms grew. Sama whimpered at seeing those and all four of them shot towards him. The hands looked like skeletons, but they glowed with the 'light of darkness' just as Priestess Kimi did.
With no other choice, Sama grabbed for his flansaber and turned it on. A shiny gold blade greeted him and easily sliced through the skeletal hand that tried to grab and crush him. Super Sama jumped from the fresh hole in the hand and severed it at the arm. The skeleton hand fell to the desert floor and turned to dust.
The other three ghostly hands snapped their fingers and long swords appeared. In the first hand there was a French rapier, in the second hand a pirate's cutlass and the third had the gigantic English Claymore. Sama gulped as the swords began to swing his way and he had to use his newfound gift of flight to dodge between them.
The rapier managed to catch his side and a stream of dark blood fell down to the desert sands below. Super Sama couldn't worry about a scratch like that at the moment; instead he flew straight up, turned in mid-air and came up behind the Cutlass wielding hand. The Claymore hand slashed at him; but Sama was able to do a barrel roll out of the way. The Claymore cut the Cutlass hand in half and that hand also turned into dust.
With two hands remaining, Super Sama spun around. The blade of his flansaber extended to a great length and cut down both the rapier and cutlass hands, having them meet the same fate as the others. The ghost hands down, Sama turned to look for Priestess Kimi.
She had not moved from her previous location. Apparently the 'ghost hands' were only one of the Priestess' many tricks. She snapped her fingers and then opened her mouth: out came not a bolt of thunder, but an entire lightning storm. Anywhere between fifty and one hundred lightning bolts shot out ever second. Although he was now much faster, Sama could not avoid or block them all.
“Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!” Sama screamed in pain as lightning struck him repeatedly. He felt his flesh sizzle and burn and he wondered if there was no way to stop the demon that had taken over his friend.
“... My Master is truly divine.” Pepsi admired. She seemed to be pleased with the colorless sky and the massive amounts of pain. She cooed happily and watched the battle with interest. Then she felt the red-hot sting of flansabers pierce her side and she yelled and jumped away.
“Lady, there's a lot of wannabes, but when it comes to the big bad guys around here...” Rowen hissed.
“WE'RE number one!” CHoW snapped.
Rowen's flansaber had been inexplicably recovered by CHoW, who returned it to it's rightful master. Pepsi grabbed at her sides, the pain from her new wounds coursing through her entire body. She gnashed her teeth and growled at them like a dog.
“Rowen . . . desperation move.” CHoW said, watching Pepsi's demeanor.
“Guess we don't have a choice . . . you got it!” When Rowen and CHoW had worked out this plan was anyone's guess, since they had only spent a short time together since the dimensional split and it seemed unlikely that they would have come up with tis emergency plan then. None the less, Rowen dove forward and grabbed Pepsi from behind.
“Chaos Control!”
Back in the skies, Priestess Kimi's rain of lightning continued. Super Sama learned he could channel his energy into a shield; but it was quickly being destroyed by the relentless electric fury of the demon. All at once, something blue appeared in front of them.
Rowen had warped Pepsi straight into the line of fire; and then he'd dropped her like a hot potato and warped himself back to the ground. The lightning struck Pepsi several times, so many times that it actually destroyed her body; effectively tearing her to shreds.
Priestess Kimi ceased the attack. Pepsi had been a loyal servant and the reason she had her new body . . . but by the time she stopped, The Pudding-I Chief was gone. Even worse for Priestess Kimi, the pause in the assault gave Super Sama time to fly straight at her.
She flew right back at him.
The two connected in mid-air: Sama flying up, Kimi shooting down. Their fists had met with one another and there was a sound so loud it reduced the sound barrier to mincemeat. As silence engulfed the Dessert Desert, everyone below on the ground looked up to see a spectacular light cover over the sky.
Darth CHoW saw the display of lights and his mind was suddenly filled with personal thoughts. Thoughts about his own existence. He was half a person. While clearly he believed himself to be the superior half, he was suddenly reminded of what it meant to be whole. He did not know where his future would lead – clearly, if tomorrow came, he would go back to being the villain. Still, something inside him made him aware that a day would come when he would have to face Rush.
The Professor watched, his thoughts turned to his lost sister. He had seen her struggle with the darkness just like Kimi was now, and though he shared many different points of view with her, he hoped Kimi would have more success.
Crystal Rose was thinking about her life as a Flan-I. She had saved countless lives. She had also made countless friends – and just as many mistakes. Rush and Cojo had betrayed everything she ever taught them. Two of her students were as rotten as was possible . . . but two others . . . Tazzy had become her best friend and a great Flan-I, and Sama helped to save the world on a regular basis.
Avenger's thoughts turned to the Custard-I. He had been fooled and lied to for years. Now he was still trying to decide who was his ally and who was his enemy. Yet, as he watched the epic struggle in the skies, he realized that even the tragedy in his past was eclipsed by what could exist in the future.
Jimi wondered what it meant to be real. He had been created a clone, and had 'died' several times. Yet, he had his own feelings and emotions; his own dreams and ambitions. Surely he had to be real. He was confused as to what to do. Good and evil . . . to him, it never mattered. He had to help the Professor. Though he could not help but ponder what path the Spork would choose to tread down.
Tazzy could only think about the gravity of this situation. She had seen incredible things in her life, and she had taken an incredible journey. From a ordinary girl to a Flan-I, and then losing her memories and winding up working on a farm . . . only to find what she had lost again, and to reclaim the friends and the wonders that had escaped her. Now there was a chance the whole world would be gone . . . the world she had struggled to reclaim. All she could do was hope that did not happen.
Phazon was wondering what he'd have for breakfast if they survived all of this. Yes, it was true. He couldn't decide between eggs or pancakes. Well . . . in truth that was just a metaphor. He could also have been thinking about whether he liked the hot or the cold, day or night, or pretty much any elementary choice. In truth, he was trying to decide if he would be good and evil without actually thinking about it that way. After all, good and evil was such a hard choice . . . and he couldn't concentrate on the gravity of the fight if he was busy making that choice. Instead, it was eggs or pancakes.
TS wanted to know where his future would lie. He had been trained by Phazon to be a Flan-I, he had helped to save Tazzy's life earlier. He had even worked with the ARK Cannon in an attempt to stop Priestess Kimi. Now, though, all he could do was watch. Rather than be a part of the battle, he was helpless... and he did not like that feeling very much.
Spoony thought about his dream. He had once decided he wanted to build a peaceful place where anyone could go to relax and get away from the pressures of life. Now, though, Teh City was in intense danger. The entire world was. His dream was in danger of being crushed by the demon, and that was a fate he did not want. Despite all his powers, at this moment all he could do was watch. He just hoped that his dream would not fade away like the sky had.
Rowen's thoughts were on a lot of things. His past, his 'family', his teachings at the Flan-I Temple... as well as what had happened to him, his betrayal and the life he led at LASOOF. He wasn't really trying to regret his choices or trying to figure out his future. He was just thinking of all the things that had happened up until this moment. It was not very often he had a chance to stop and think; and after this one, he may never have another chance. Though, if it was up to him, he hoped the universe was saved.
Hammah and Sama saw through the same eyes at that moment. Though Hammah was on the ground and Sama in the air, they could tell each other's thoughts. It was clear that the only thought racing through their joint-minds at this moment was putting an end to this. The pain and suffering. It had to be dealt with. Sama had been betrayed by someone he thought was his student, and now he had to fight one of the wonderful friends who had changed his life for the better. His fear was that by destroying The Priestess, it would endanger Kimi too.
A few seconds after Kimi and Sama's punches had connected, the light vanished and the two were thrown to the ground. A gigantic crater was freshly made by the impact and neither of the combatants emerged right away. Everyone watching was on pins and needles. Sound returned to the world.
Then, a hand reached up.
And then, Kimi floated up out of the crater. She was covered in dirt and had all kinds of injuries from the battle, but she was far from defeated. Priestess Kimi stepped forward and looked out at the onlookers.
“. . . Did you not believe me when I predicted your doom?”
The Priestess raised her hands and began to charge some kind of power. A attack that was unlike anything anyone looking on could have imagined. It would have destroyed the entire planet and wiped them all out . . . and the only person who could have stopped her was unconscious in the crater.
“HEY! GET THE HELL OUT OF MY HEAD!”
All at once The Priestess stopped. She had just yelled something aloud into the night, but the eyes of everyone who watched suddenly sparked with hope. It was not the voice of an ancient demon from another world: it was the voice of a super hero.
“What? Impossible! You are nothing anymore!” Priestess Kimi clutched her head.
“I. SAID. GO!” Kimi screamed loudly. There was a thunderous boom and suddenly the 'light of darkness' was thrown from Kimi's eyes. Her skin returned to it's normal shade, the green and white colors on her clothing were as bright as ever, and her eyes became the same they been her entire life. Kimi was shaking and very weak, but she had kicked the evil spirit out of her mind.
All at once the 'light of darkness' vanished from the sky. Color returned and dawn broke at the same time: the battle had raged all day and all night. There was a shrill scream and suddenly The Spooky Door caught on fire and burnt into dust. Kimi wiped some sweat from her brow and fell onto the sand.
Everyone in the sands around the battlefield was doing the same thing: staring at Kimi and wondering if she was really her.
“. . . I want some cake.”
There was a mutual sweat drop, following by loud sighs of relief. Kimi blinked a few times and then crossed her arms: she really DID want some cake after all that.
“Ka bibble!” Sama pulled himself up from out of the hole and promptly collapsed in the sand a few yards from where Kimi sat. He tried to spit sand out of his mouth as he talked. “We . . . need . . . vacation.”
Kimi's eyes lit up. “Now THAT'S a good idea!”
Spoony shook his head, a smile on his face. “Let's just worry about getting home first.”
Not everyone was as happy. A few hundred yards from the others, Pibb stood alone: the last of his kind. He was speaking to the wind. “I watched two people I once cared a great deal about die today.” His eyes turned towards the group by the remains of the door. “Ah, to be young again . . .”
Pibb hurried over, and halfway there Avenger spotted him.
“I guess we're done here, eh old man?” Avenger asked.
“Indeed. This battle is over. We should rest up before the next one.” Pibb smiled to the Custard-I, and then looked to Hammah. He had woken up, his power restored, and was sitting with his brother and The Professor.
Standing by a sand dune, Phazon, Rikku and TS were watching the others. Rikku leaned against the pile of sand.
“You didn't warn me your adventures were so crazy, you big meanie!” She playfully jabbed at Phazon.
“Me neither...” TS crossed his arms.
Phazon shrugged his shoulders. “We're alive. We've got the future. Let's go get something to eat.”
“Whatcha in the mood for?” Rikku asked.
Phazon sighed. “Haven't decided yet...”
“I liked the sky being all dark, though...” HA pouted, half-teasing with his friends. Suddenly he felt two arms wrap around him and he cursed loudly.
“Apocalypse-Prevention Huggles!” Crystal grinned happily. HA scowled behind his hood. Partially because he just plain hated huggles, and partially because of the broken rib. Tazzy shook her head and reminded her friend that she had healing powers and had a lot of work to do.
“... Well, let's go.” CHoW stood up and shrugged.
“Yeah. This place is getting all mushy and way too heartwarming.” Rowen agreed.
“HEY! Losers!” Kimi shouted over to them as they started to walk away. CHoW and Rowen turned to look at her. “You, uh, helped out a lot... so... I'll let you just leave! But don't think you're not going to jail next time I see you!”
“Oh, next time you see us, it will be the day of your doom!” CHoW laughed. Rowen grinned and the two hurried off into the distance.
Spoony was pleased. He sat in silence, smiling. They had preserved his dream for another day . . . maybe he WOULD give them that vacation. He'd have to think about it after he finishing paying for the new tower's construction.
On the ground, next to the crumpled can of soda, there was a pool of spilled Flan-I Master soul. Coincidentally, some of Pibb's blood – as well as some of Sama's – had landed in that same puddle.
Something began to stir.
THE END
SUPER KIMI & WONDER SAMA WILL RETURN
Whew. It's 4:20 AM. I'm gonna sleep for days now. :p Hope you enjoyed it. AGOI also wrote parts of this and helped me with ideas, because he's just plain cool like that.
That makes 3 updates in two days. And this update is 25 pages long. Not to mention AGOI gave you new chapters, and there's a RP. Be like the camel and drink up the SK&WSness, because as I said in my DA Journal, I'm totally fried and need some time to come up with new storylines.
BUT: SK&WS will return. I promise. :p
