Well, the Game of Chance RP is over and done with... I apologize to everyone if the end felt a little rushed. In all truthfulness, it's because it WAS rushed. Also for it to be rush during a point in time where a lot of the SRB is... well, absent, kinda made the end of this RP seem a little lackluster, I know... and again, I apologize for that. However, I still think it's better this way than for it to just die while I'm away.

Had I foreseen how my trip would coincide with this RP, I might have done things a little differently. At any rate, what's done is done. I hope you all enjoyed the ride while it lasted. Make sure to await my arrival, though! For I do plan on somewhat continuing the story, in a brand new RP when I come back... one that has been in the making for quite some time... this new RP shall be.....

Well, better to build anticipation than to have it come out of nowhere like most RPs... besides that, I wanna make sure people are prepared. Now, whether or not everyone actually reads that message is another story... though I'm certain now that it's out in the open in some form, GS will likely bring it up as often as possible while I'm gone. XD

I've been mostly prepared for an SW3 for about this entire year, especially so since a point around just after Trinity signups started. And I've been fully prepared for an SW3 since Mayyyyyyyyyy... :LOL:

Though for me, preparations just mean having pictures and "additional info"s ready for adapting and copy/pasting, so yeah. XD

Also, I want everyone to know that powerful characters are more than welcome! When battling mad gods, it helps if you have characters on a cosmic scale. ;)

Hey, as ridiculous as this is going to sound, please try to take what I'm about to say somewhat seriously:

We should probably close this thread after a day or two, tops. ^^; In the past, starting signups/discussion threads too early before an RP has taken away some of the excitement for the actual RP's start. So, it might be a good idea to somewhat forget about it until we get much closer, especially since it's not coming for a while. So while we could talk about it a bit, I don't think it's a good idea to let this thread develop into a long discussion.

Having said one thing people will disagree with, I will refrain from saying anything about the giant robots, I mean, the cosmically powered characters. ^^;

ANYWAY: SW3! Awesome! :3 I'll be happy. CPoC, you didn't see SW2, but it went really well, so don't worry about this one having the same ideals as the first.

o.o Cosmic characters are not a bad thing. Don't forget that the Beyonder herself is a cosmic character. And Vash comes pretty close to being on that scale, yet he remains a pretty good character. I really don't see the harm in having a few heavy-hitters... especially since some of the villains I've been having in mind might NEED to have some heavy hitters go up against them... I really don't see why there would be a problem with powerful characters, especially if all of reality is at stake... ^_^;

I know I wasn't around during SW2, but I have read parts of it. I'm not really worried about any ideals... I guess? Not entirely sure what you meant by that one. ^_^;

As for how long this thread is up for, I'll leave that up to you guys while I'm away. I just want everyone to be made aware of the fact that this is coming.

Secret Wars are a group of RPs spanning two different sites and over three years that are basically a huge crossover.

Ever hear of Marvel's Secret Wars? That was the inspiration. Basically you pick five good guys and five bad guys from ANYTHING, including OC's, and there is a great multi-storylined RP where you have almost absolute freedom.

The last SW (SW2) lasted 129 pages. This RP, I swear, will rock. You should totally join. ^^

Spoony, I must say this... I think we need a limit on uber-powerful characters. Vash has powers that could surpass Goku or Sephiroth, but he's also a pasifict and hates the idea of hurting or killing anyone.

I think if we have uber characters who are just willing to go all uber on everyone, then it could cause problems later. ^^; THAT is a discussion that we can have once you return, and in RMC, so I'm not worried about such a thing.

ANYWAY! The actual RP rules and stuff should not be dicussed here anyway. Those should be discussed by the admins in admin land where it won't cause a ruckus here in happy happy RP land. :3

I agree with the idea that we don't dicuss SW3 a lot, but I think we should hype it up a bit. :)

I was about to post the basic premise, but GS probably has the basics, so I'll go into other basics he may not cover:

Secret Wars was created in a forum where one RPer was the bad guy, setting up the situation for everyone else. Thus, there were a myriad of short RPs, because everyone wanted a piece of the control. Secret Wars thrives on the character setup: 5 good guys, 5 bad guys. That's basically the premise: you're set loose into this varied landscape and set free, allowing everyone to make evil plans and make good plans and share control. Additionally, the main storyline keeps things in a vague structure, but for large part the story is moved in many subplots of often greater magnitude, determined by everyone's actions. More like a Ouija Board than... the opposite of that... uh...

Point is: the setup is great!

Oh, I never said they had to go all uber on everyone. If that's really what you're worried about, then I don't really think you have much to fear. I just happened to mention that I encourage powerful characters in SW RPs... and that's always been my policy in the past. Have we ever gone wrong in past SW RPs? :p
