OK, so I was thinking about something else, and then I was like, "Hey!!" and then I had this idea.

Hokay, so: here's the SRB. CPoC is driving through the desert, AGoI is backpacking through Europe. TNT is on its way to ending; and since HA hasn't posted in HV yet, it's quite literally GS, DP, and I holdin' down the fort there. :heh: But there are more people here!

In my experience, C_R, Tazzy, and Kimi have preferred the segments of an RP with less action and more... what's the word... "intrigue," maybe? "Drama"? Whatever it may be, the three I just mentioned, in my experience, seem to enjoy more the segments of the RP that are inbetween the brutal fights-to-the-deaths.

I just finished an excellent manga in which there was very little fighting, and battles, and powers, and whatnot. DP, I believe, is a fan of Azumanga Daioh and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, animes which don't center on the same kind of style as, say, Bleach, or FMA, or Naruto. If nothing else, GS enjoyed Case Closed, the mystery series of Conan Edogawa. C_R and Tazzy are writing a manga of that style! So I think there's market for an RP starring-- GASP!!-- normal people.

I'm confident that we could make an RP like every bit as interesting as one with explosions! But I need help! And, for this to be worth the time, I'd need Kimi, C_R, and Tazzy to be interested in-- be careful, I said "interested in," not "pressured to"-- this RP. I'll take care of keeping the drama going once this starts-- but I need some ideas, and I need your interest level!

The Mocha, nor The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, have "normal" people (except for probobly Kyon in TMoHS)...

Now truthfully... I would absolutely love such an RP. I don't know how the heck it'd happen or how it'd work, but I'd absolutely love to do such an RP.

But, truthfully... (which I really don't want to say, considering GS's interest, and possibly yours, in the Bleach RP)... I'd lose all interest (of what little I currently have, to be absolutely truthful) I currently have in doing anything in the Bleach RP.

But yeah, I'd most likely join this sort of RP in an instant! Unless for whatever reason I really don't like what the RP ends up about[/being_truthful] (though that's probobly highly unlikely).

So, I vote "Please Be Honest With Yourself. :)"

Well, I checked out Melancholy, and of course I know about The Mocha; and even if this RP, like that one, has characters with special abilities of some kind, it will still be "normal" compared to the fighting-based RPs we've done so far.

As for the Bleach RP... yeah, I pretty much figured you'd lost interest, especially after you said GoC took care of your Aizen desires... ;_; Knowing this, I'll create a major villan to do my part to keep things running there, if you'll post at least minimally...

But a major factor in whether we start this would be Kimi's, C_R's, and Tazzy's levels of interest.

One idea: a "mystery"-type setting, where in addition to their main characters, everyone takes on "potential suspect" characters in some kind of crime, and the main characters have to figure out whodunit!

Other idea: Secret organization kidnaps friend, etc.!

The more I think about this idea, the more I do love it. ^^

I must say, the idea of a mytsery sounds like it could be brilliant! If I might shine my own ideas for that sort of RP...?

A mystery RP could be good... we could take turns having someone do the mystery; meaning they could know the ultimate solution to said mystery and lead the others into trying to solve such a thing; and then someone else would do another and so on... Being a huge fan of mysteries I know I would love this. :3

Also: We could have main characters who we use for the entire course of the RP, and then for each "Case" we could also have secondary Suspect Characters like you said.

Perhaps our main characters could be a part of some Mystery Solving Group? With a van and a dog who can talk. Perhaps each of our characters filling some niche in your typical television/anime group of friends?

I like that idea a lot... of course, something done in a style similiar to The Mocha (and perhaps Haruhai Suzumiya, but I've been unsuccessful in finding that so I wouldn't know) where perhaps our characters are "quazi" normal, the diet-coke of normal (just one calorie, not normal enough).

In which I mean our characters would have some sort of special ability or something, but rather than focus on action we would focus on finding drama in other ways -- like with a crazy teacher, or some kind of mystery, or some romantic delimma, or what have you.

I've done "normal" RPs before where the action was secondary to other plot devices and they are actually a lot of fun. ^^ I applaud you for this idea my friend and I am willing to do anything and everything needed to make this happen.

I have been reading a manga that is extermly funny. It was made by Azuma, (the creator of Azumanga Diaoh) It is called Yosuba& and it is extermly funny. But it's about normal life. So yeah, I will do it ^_^

Not true Cojo! TNT is awesome, but you took over the storyline about 200 pages into it. :LOL: That wasn't your fault... after 200 Pages, it's hard to make any storyline work. Don't feel bad my friend!

This is an awesome idea, and I'm all for it! This is definitely my kind of RP. :3 And, unlike any RP I've done before, I think I'll actually participate. XD

So yes, this RP definately appeals to my interest. :D

As for ideas... I like the whole "whodunit" theme. Especially because its something that everyone can participate in, unlike two-character fight scenes where everyone else just sits there and watches. Also, it'd be fun to play the stereotypical roles: The main detective, the mole, the Dr. Watson, the accomplice, the random criminal who causes trouble just to distract the others from the main case, etc etc. And it doesn't even have to be a whodunit, it can be something where everyone is gathering clues about an object rather than a criminal, like they're trying to find a map or a statue or something.

OR it could just be the whole "trying to get through high school/college/job" life scenario. Or it could be a mix of both! I prefer the mystery-type setting because it seems as if there'd be more stuff to do that'd still be interesting to everyone.

SK&WS wasn't your fault. It was mine. I didn't plan it enough and poor planning is very dangerous to RPs. It's like having a cobra and a mouse in the same cage and expecting them to be friends. Bad idea. XD

This is great input! Ideally, a mystery component would only lend structure to an RP about that which you mentioned in quotes. However, I am considering keeping it simple.

And BTW... XD... I will put a limit on the amount of characters who have lost both their parents. XD Not really a thing to be "XD"ing about, but I have a hunch it might be a relatively common thought people would arrive to when thinking of OCs for something like this. If somehow we go an "Orphan's Club" route or something, that'd be fine, but I want to avoid the "Oh, both your parents died too?" "Yep" "Me too" "Me three" "What a twist!!" coincidence scenario. ^^; Of course, I could be completely wrong.

A boarding school with evil teachers. This could be interesting, focusing on pranks on other dorms and on teachers, getting caught, etc.

An actual desert island to survive on. Not what you thought of at first, but it could be a lot of fun. >:3 Also there will be no voting or convenient FedEx packages. FedEx FedEx trapped on an island FedEx FedEx.

I can imagine a mall war in the ladies' clothing department. XD And a food court raid. Of course, those are just the basics....

No FedEx with the desert island! That is another brilliant idea. We don't want any "Hey look, this random box containing a (non melted) ice cream cake has just oh-so-conveniently washed ashore whilst no one else but I am around! I'ma eat it." ...Or any FedEx boxes containing basic needs such as food water etc.

Usually "Desert Island" means a island that is deserted and void of human contact. However, the idea of having a island that is actually a desert would be cool. I've never heard of such a thing and so I find the idea awesome. :D

Well, I still haven't gotten a response from 2/3 of the people I had hoped would play a mediumly large role in this... but I'll start signups if Tazzy and Cojo can reassure me they'll be here for this! ^^;

I believe CR is counceling a camp of some sort, and I'm just lazy! :D
