In the bustling city of Ipswitch, in the busy halls of Ipswitch High... a new school year has begun!

Now... Let's get this party started! ^_^ A few things!

1. Your main character(s) should be an OC!
2. If you really want a character with some kind of special power, please be aware I'll have to approve of it. ^^; "Special power" also refers to having amazing gadgetry, and this approval rule also refers to having no parents.
3. If you want to "port" a character from some media, such as an anime, a manga, or a game, you are able to.

"Year" refers to class year. I made this a high school to be more accomodating, but most of the OCs should probably be in the same year. Though, you can have a character or characters in college or middle school.

Gender: Male
Personality: A coward, but smart, and a realist. He won't just run away, but do whatever is safest.
Backstory: Edda's odd, in the fact that he admits he's a coward. His dad wants him to be great at something, and his mom is very loving. Both parents are still very alive and married.
Additional Info: While Edda might be able to run better and faster then others, that's only because of his experience, and practice. He can also scream really loud, his he also has good lung control.

Year: Graduated, in Britian
Gender: Male
Personality: Dirk's an odd character. He believes in the 'interconnectedness of everything' and is in fact a detective. He is very curious and always wants to know the full story, even if two random things don't seem connected.
Backstory: His current case has brought him to this country, and this particular town, in the search of a lady's cat, or really, half a cat.
Additional Info: Dirk is a detective, and an odd one, but always solves his case, no matter how absurd it is. And if anyone here has read 'Salmon of Doubt' you'll know where I'm picking Dirk up from...

My first character is a port of a character who seems to fit perfect.

Name: Shawn Spencer
Age: 17
Year: Senior
Gender: Male
Personality: He's one weird dude. He likes paries, girls and music. He's a lousy student but he's good if they had a party class he'd be on honor roll.
Backstory: His father, who was a cop, trained him to have a photographic memory. One day he called a police tip line after solving a crime just by seeing a TV report on the news and got arrested because he was too correct. He fooled them by claiming to be a psychic, and... well, the rest is history.
Additional Info: You know, I know, I'm not telling the truth. You know, I know, they just don't have any proof.

Gender: Male
Personality: Jess is very full of himself, and doesn't understand why no one else thinks he's the coolest person of all time. He also likes girls. A lot. Furthermore, because of his eternal quest to get everyone to like him, he will lie and cheat like nobody's business.
Backstory: Jess started school a year early, and that's why he's fifteen and a junior, but he keeps telling everyone that the reason he's a young junior is 'cause he skipped a grade.
Additional Info: Though his grades don't show it, Jess is actually kinda smart. I mean, you gotta be smart to cheat well.

Personality: Arrogant, but dark.
Backstory: The strong, mysterious, arrogant type. His quiet nature makes him an enigma in many ways. He doesn't seem to care for the students at the school.
Additional Info: Has an undying arrogant streak. American by blood, but Japanese by nationality. Hardly ever seen without his earphones in. A practitioner of several forms of martial arts. Has only fought once in his school life.

Personality: He's a quirky guy. He dislikes wearing socks, and frequently can be found eating sweets. He always sits scrunched up, with his knees up about his face. He's inquisitive, intelligent, and his eyes are piercing, but in a good, though maybe a little off-putting, way.
Backstory: He's an exchange student from Japan!
Additional Info: He is a port of L from Death Note. He won't be nearly as smart, though.

Year: Suspect Character!
Gender: Male
Personality: Grumpy! He doesn't like kids very much, but he likes punishing them and has the authority to do it. He's not all grump, though; despite his military-like garb and rules, he has a flair for the flambuoyant and is actually intelligent.
Backstory: He's got diplomas, trophies, and medals all over his wall, from track & field competitions and military victories. He wants people to believe he has a checkered, brave past, but his 70's party-style hairdo is a clue that his past might have been less grouchy bravery and more drunken 70's dancing.
Additional Info: Don't you dare say something about his age, and the 70s. <.<; I haven't done the math, and don't intend to. It was some time the past.

Avenger, yay! ^_^ Another exchange student maybe? He looks tough... though he won't be using that martial arts much here. ^^; He'll be good character!
Though, as a bit of friendly RP advice, be careful of phrases like "Even the teachers are a little frightened by him" and "can pretty much stop anyone in their tracks." You can't really predict how people will react to your character. That's not the "aren't able to" 'can't,' it's the kind where you shouldn't because it could be 'autoing.'

Also, it's not something you really have to worry about or change; just keep in mind, if you give GS's character a sharp stare, he might not stop in his tracks, so you shouldn't be expecting him to. That's just an example. ^^

I intended Gleason to be the man-in-charge. The VP had no power in my high school, but the VP is always in charge on TV, so...
But anyway if someone wants to make a principal or a dean of pain or something, I suppose they can. But Gleason should be somewhat in charge...

Hmm...

Also: this is not just a mystery RP! >:3 I intend to take in most of the ideas we talked about too.
Example: this IS an RP about real life! So, while mystery will be driving the plot, don't hesitate to think up real-life dilemmas and dramas! The best sitcoms/shows/things-like-this have stuff happening at the same time as mystery-solving! So don't forget that aspect!

Year: I don't know if I'm supposed to put "Suspect Character" or "Graduated"
Gender: Female
Personality: Ms. Middleton is a bit...lofty. As in, her mind usually seems to be elsewhere. The only time she actually seems to be all there is when she is critiquing a student's peice of artwork.
Backstory: Not really mch of a backstory here; she's just your average, everyday, head-in-the-clouds art teacher.
Additional Info: Ms. Middleton is the art teacher, and she's one of those rare art teachers that actually approves of the manga/anime style. When she's having her free period, she's never in her classroom, and hardly ever in the teacher's lounge. Instead, she tends to just roam the hallways in a sort-of daze, just thinking to herself.

Name: Lulu Byrd
Age: 15
Year: Sophomore
Gender: Female
Personality: A bit girly and also a bit of a loudmouth; won't hesitate to speak her mind on just about any subject. Not to mention she's slightly hotheaded.
Backstory: Was one of Jess's friends in middle school, so she knows a lot of his tricks.
Additional Info: Her favorite flavor os ice cream is orange sherbet. ...Even though sherbet isn't really ice cream; it's sherbet.

Oh, and BR, don't know if this counts as 'powers', but Dirk's good at hand tricks, like producing a coin from behind someone's ear, or a chicken egg from their mouth.

And in my haste, I messed up Dirk's age! I meant, somewhere in the twenty range. I'll have to double check my book though. I might still be off!

Additional Info: Does NOT like cults. HATES them. And his accent to. "Ah think thaat alins rearanged mah memory and dumped me hear! Den put sum kinda viruis in mah throat!"

Personality: Ema is cheerful, optimistic, and friendly. She has a great interest in the sciences and hopes to become a forensic investigator someday. She greatly admires her older sister, though they don't get along as much lately.
Backstory: Due to a robbery that occured to her family's home when she was younger, she became interested in scientific investigation. She may possibly be friends with some others in this RP?
Additional Info: She has a strange obsession with eating *insert crunchy food-snack here* (see avatar :LOL: ). They are also useful projectiles for throwing at people. Also a big fan of Luminol. She will likely be carrying around at least Luminol (if not also fingerprint dust and possibly some other tools of "scientific investication") at almost all times, unless you don't want that other stuff included.
Additional Info 2: It's Ema Skye! Virtually unchanged (because of how most of the others here were made for the same school year she's in), except her parents are alive and kicking, though it wouldn't have mattered either way.

^unless there's some sort of school uniform. In that case, she wears that uniform, but still has the cool pink glasses, and still wears the lab coat over the uniform (because, as AGoI could probobly attest to, lab coats = coolness).

I have another guy, but I am dissatisfied with the picture (all the sprite hairdos at that RP character maker either look like girls hair, or look crappy...), and still have more adapting to do.

Also, if you need more teachers, I could possibly use clones of Miss Yukari and Miss Kurosawa, from Azumanga Daioh. :LOL:

Ya, Ema is from Phoenix Wright. She's the assistant for the 5th case in the first game (which is where the sprite I posted is from), and is the detective in the unreleased yet in the US 4th game (which is where the animated sprite that's my avatar came from; it's set about 7 years or so after the first game, which is why Ema looks different and older in my avatar).

And seriously, the parents thing means absolutely nothing to Ema's backstory.

I have an idea! Why not import some of the Mocha characters, just stripping them of their powers/or changing their past to a normal one?
