Well, this is some of the best news I could've received tonight. Sonic Riders 2 is confirmed for February 2008!

The new game is called Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, and will be for the Wii ($50) and PS2 ($30).

So, is anyone else as hyped as I am? For me, personally, Riders was one of the most refreshing titles I've played in awhile, gameplay-wise. Yeah, the story blew and the Story Mode and Mission Mode were overly cheap, but the game itself was incredibly fun.

I really, really, really suck at racing games of any kind. ^^;

Still... Sonic Rides was abundantly awesome if for no reason than just because of the anime opening with the cool colors. XD

So, yeah, I'm excited... and maybe on the Wii I could win this thing! Ride on Sonic!

The Wii version is gonna be amazing. It'll really take the game to the next level.

Yes, that opening was truly amazing... it almost makes me wish ALL the cutscenes used that style. I mean, CGI is good and all, but nothing beats traditional animation. :D

I still don't hav the first one yet :heh: but from what I've played of it, it's pretty good fun.

So, its official. Shadow, Rouge, and Blaze are in, along with a few new gear types.

And yes, Shadow's bike E.G. is a chopper.

Is there any talk about NiGHTS making a return in the game?

Not yet. We won't hear about major secret characters until the Japanese release, probably.

For the record, I'm expecting Silver to make it in if they let that cat in.

Personally, NiGHTS is rather lame to me. To me, the only thing from Sonic Team thats actually been good is the Sonic series.

Silver could be awesome for the gameplay of this one. The main theme (cheap gimmick) is gravity manipulation, and who better than Silver for that?

Well, everyone has a difference of opinion. Personally, though, I do hope that both NiGHTS and Ulala get into this one. Don't really care if Aiai gets in and I'd even prefer if he got replaced by Amigo (as I find him to be the better Sega monkey).

I can't even begin to imagine how awesome Silver could be on this game, what with the gravity manipulation and all. If Sega plays their cards right, he could be a phenomenal character.

(For those wondering, yes, Silver has overtaken Shadow in my "favorite Sonic characters" list.)

Well, Sonics games may have been going downhill slightly compared to the old days (or so, everyone says) but they sure do get good music for their games :heh:
