Anyway, I believe the explanation is a mute point: Recall the days of Genesis! Knuckles and Tails could keep up with Sonic just fine -- and Rouge has the same skills as Knuckles for the most part, so in actuality, it makes sense that Rouge and Knuckles be fast.

It's bcuz Rouge wears Nike & Amy's got Lugz. HAH.

I believe the video's description said something about Action Replay, so I'm guessing the video-maker used that to kinda-hack the game into letting Rouge into that stage.

Yeah, I did notice that on the old sega games when Eggman is machine-less he runs to hit a switch or something. I did notice that. Like when you fight the egg machine on the last level sonic the hedgehog 3 Sonic chases eggman but eggman makes it in time..

Also Eggman runs fast on Sonic Adventure 2 Battle in the chao garden.
