Hey! What's your favorite old game, as in, pre-2000?

Mine...Master's of Orion II. I still play that game time to time.

You choose a race (Human, Psilon, more I can't remember right now), each having different strengths and weaknesses.

Then, your goal is to conquer the galaxy! You can do this by either wiping out the other aliens, being elected leader, or, if you choose to put that option on, defeat the Antares!

Plasma Cannon = Pwnage.

As does the Stellar Converter.

You can colonize other planets, invade your enemies and turn their citizens loyal to you, or wipe them out and recolonize yourself, or, if you have Stellar Converter, you can simply destroy the planet.

You can even customize your ship's specifics, terraform your worlds, take over Orion (And gain the awesome 'Guardian' ship to your fleet), set up treaties, and just overall kick butt.

With all the species, ways to customize the galaxy, tech to find out, and more, this game is, to me, one of the best old games of all time.

Oh, and it's a computer game. The one I have works with Windows 95 and up.

I am stuck between Tetris, Super Mario World, Galaga, House of the Dead and Sim City.

Oh! And Parappa the Rapper! I love that little dude so much! I use to play that game for hours and hours. O_O;;

1999 is barely over one console generation ago... :LOL:

Anyways, off the top of my head without thinking much, I'd say SSB, Beetle Adventure Racing, Super Mario World, Donkey Kong (the Game Boy game that came out in 1994, that is), Sonic games, Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, and SML3: Wario Land are among many of my favorite older games.

Ack, I cannot believe I forgot about Mario Kart. I feel so ashamed now.

And the first Mario Party was always fun aswell.

Donkey Kong (the Game Boy game that came out in 1994, that is)

That game was pure awesomeness contained in such a small package. It's amazing that they were able to fit so much into a Game Boy game, yet when adapting the arcade version to the NES, they even had to cut out one of the levels.

o_o Maybe they just got smarter with that stuff over time...

Not counting the Sonic titles, I'd have to say my favorite old series would be the PS1 Tekken titles, especially Tekken 2.
