Okay. So recently(Saturday to be exact), Nintendo of America has confirmed to a member of the "Save Sonic" forum that if they get enough calls requesting Ryan Drummond to voice Sonic in Super Smash Brothers: Brawl they WILL hire him!!

A buzz had already been going through the internet because of this, everyone is trying their best to promote it, so I thought why not annouce it here? :]

((I called one of the representatives this morning and they said though they haven't heard anything about who will be voicing Sonic, they have heard about the movement to bring Ryan back. So...yay? XD))

I am personally okay with both actors(even though I would really love it if the originals came back...though...I listen to the japanese VA's anyways XD), but I remember some members getting excited over hearing what they thought was Ryan's voice on the SSB:Brawl topic, so I thought I would post this up to people who we're intrested.

Hopefully it won't become too big of a thing....like at Sonic Stadium. O.O;;
This is an opputunity, so why not jump at the chance? Even if he only voices a few grunts and victory cries, it's still Ryan, right? ^^;

On an unrelated note, Sonic Stadium BLOWS.

Anyways, I don't want Drummond back. Also, I don't want Griffith back either.

Hey Nintendo! Finish the old-school transition and bring back the greatest Sonic in history!

As awesome as I think it'd be to have Jaleel White reprise his role as Sonic, I don't think the chances are very high. Still, White is definitely way past better than both Drummond or Griffith, hands down. Even to this day, I still envision his voice as Sonic's if I'm reading a comic or cutscene or something that involves Sonic without hearing his voice, thereby forcing my imagination to come up with a voice. Still, ya, it seems a lot more unlikely.

So that gives us the choice between Drummond and Griffith... of which I'd prefer Drummond, but not so much because I think he's a better Sonic (truthfully, the audible difference between them is minimal to me), but because I think it would increase the chances of finally getting rid of the HORRIBLE 4Kids actors that have ruined the voices of Rouge, Cream, Vector, and, to a lesser but still very off sounding extent, Amy.

Which reminds me...

I think Jaleel White came back it would be awesome. But if it's just Griffith or Drummond. It's Drummond. I hate most of the 4kids the only ones I liked was Dan Green as Knuckles and Jason Griffith as Shadow. So yeah, I'd say Drummond.

Griffith does a great Shadow, in my book. Better than his original actor. As for Knuckles... Gah... Bring back the guy from the OVA. He was great! The gruff-voiced Knux just doesn't work for me.

Considering that's the first time I ever heard a voice for Knuckles, I wouldn't really mind it, but I get the feeling most people probably would. :heh:

Shadow: Jason Griffith (hey, he does make for a good Shadow)

Well... This brings up some speculation as to who the actor was in the SSBB trailer...

Was it Jason? Or did Nintendo hire their own guy to do it?

I don't know whether this is true or not, but I've heard some people say that the lines he had in that trailer were actually a mash-up from different voice samples from past games (both Drummond and Griffith).

Thats some dang good editing, then.

Then again, there was only one major line of dialogue from Sonic in that trailer so you're probably right about that.

Maybe I should ask Ryan myself...

I'm not good at actors I think in the game I hope you can have English or Japanese Voices just like SSB.

Well, I'm leaning more toward the White side, but Griffith is good also...Although, for all who have posted before me, your right, Griffith DOES make a good Shadow...White/Griffith for BRAWL!!!:)
