Title: Resident Evil Series
Description: Mwaha

All I have is RE4 for the Wii but it's AMAZING, i'll be getting the next one for sure!!!
Random question though: I'm on Chapter 4 somewhere where I just made the clock in the tower start once more and moved a platform to go into another part of the castle. In this part there are ALOT of Spainish zombie-people and 2 garradors which I have to destroy so I can get Ashley once again (Gawd she get's captured quite often). Anyways I was suposed to get the rocket launcher but I didn't really realize that unti it was too late and now i'm stuck with just a hand gun, shotgun, and TMP as well as some ammo for each.....
HOW IN THE WORLD DO I KILL THOSE DUMB GARRADORS? How many times do I have to shoot them in the back?
>_>
Thankies!
Avenger29 - November 26, 2007 12:19 PM (GMT)
No Rocket Launcher? You're screwed, my friend.
From my experiences, the rocket launcher strategy is the only foolproof way of beating that section. I've seen it done without the launcher, but I can't remember what they did for the life of me.
Here's what you could do, though. Use the sniper rifle and riot gun. Unless you got that souped up Broken Butterfly back in the castle, they're your only options. Do what you can to take out the cultists first, whilst avoiding the Garradors. And then, once you finish the cultists off, go into stealth mode, and start sniping the plaga from the hallway on the right side of the room. Of course, you should run like hell after each shot, but keep with this strategy, and you might have a chance. Also, remember that there are some shotgun shells and a first aid spray in the vase on the left side of the room.
Like I said, I've always used the launcher method, so I'm not 100% on this, but I hope it works.

Thankies!
lol I had a feeling I was screwed.....XD
Luckily I saved another file sometime right before Ashley got taken away the last time so if worse comes to worse i'll just replay and buy that stupid rocket launcher......Grrrrrrrrrrrr
How do you go into stelth mode?
GoldenSama - November 26, 2007 06:09 PM (GMT)
While I've only played this game once and I died before I got to where you are, I checked GameFAQs and this might have a useful strategy you can adapt.
GameFAQ's Handgun Only WalkthroughI figure if there is a way to beat the entire game with just a handgun, it'll have to have some rocket launcher free way of beating the part you're on.

Heh, that was just a figure of speech. I meant just sneaking around, not doing anything to alert the Garradors.
You can pull that off by walking instead of running, not throwing flash grenades, and shooting only when you're absolutely sure you have a clean hit.

Hoo boy...Resident Evil. I never got too deep into that. The scariest games I've played would probably be F.E.A.R. and its expansion pack. Alma may be scarier than (dare I say it?) the Tails Doll (yes I do).
Getting back on topic, well, I've never played RE4, so I'd just, as GS has already done, direct you toward GameFAQs.
Avenger29 - November 26, 2007 11:27 PM (GMT)
To be honest, RE4 isn't that scary. I mean, it has it's moments, (Like in the military base's kitchen...) but its more of an action type of game for this go-round.
I almost typed "Gohan" there. Gah...
Anyways, this one is less "survival-horror" and more of, I dunno, a third person Halo with parasite infested villagers instead of the Covenant.

There is a parasitic race in Halo called "the Flood"...and they even can create zombie-like attack form things when they infect other races...but anyway, getting back on topic, I've seen some funny flash animations about Resident Evil. Perhaps I should post links to them.
Sailor N - November 27, 2007 02:09 AM (GMT)
Meh, I perfer the Fatal Frame series myself.
Crystal Rose - November 27, 2007 06:34 AM (GMT)
Well I just totally caved in and started from my last saved point witch was like three and a half hours before I saved with that other file but OMG it made it SO much easier to kill those dumb monsters with the rocket launcher......3 minutes!
>_> Well at least I got it...

Please accept some of my sympathies and my congragulations.
liunt - November 29, 2007 11:13 PM (GMT)
I think i did it with out the rocket launcher but I cant really remember...
Crystal Rose - November 30, 2007 12:50 AM (GMT)
Okay....If Ashley gets kidnapped ONE MORE TIME i'm leaving her!!! I just had to run the heck away from "It"
.....She's SO annoying.......And when she yells she gives me a headache

It's better than always being on the lookout for a little girl, in a red dress, who could materialize at any moment, or hearing her little...giggle...*twitch*.
Sorry, I played F.E.A.R. too much.
And yes, "it". Isn't that the Moria cave-troll rip-off in that game?
Ashley...she's a rather stereotypical "damsel-in-distress", isn't she?
GoldenSama - December 1, 2007 02:57 AM (GMT)
Well, I just bought the Gamecube version of Resident Evil 4, so I'm finally going to give this series a try.
^_^
Any advice?
Crystal Rose - December 1, 2007 04:49 AM (GMT)
Coolness Sama! I wonder how they are different?
Get the Broken Butterfly Gun whenever you get a chance.....That and a darn rocket launcher.....They both come in handy later...:D Also sve multiple files in your game. That way if you get stuck you can go back to another saved game and redo what you were stuck on.
GoldenSama - December 1, 2007 04:54 AM (GMT)
That's a good question. Maybe there's a guide somewhere that lists differences. I'll check later, as I know I'll be frequenting GameFAQs for this game.
Broken Butterfly Gun, Rocket Launcher, Save a lot: Check! Thanks.
So far I'm still at the very beginning... I need to learn to aim better, or I'll keep being shoveled to death by random villagers.
Avenger29 - December 1, 2007 11:53 PM (GMT)
Shoot first. Ask questions later.
Oh, and be very handy with your shoulder buttons and analog stick. They can be the difference in living or dying.

Ah! That's what I did wrong. Apparently zombies(?) don't do interviews.
(^ not meant to be sarcasm; meant to be joke)
This game... I do love it, but I'm terrible.
I finally made it to the second save point... shooting zombies is tough work. o.o I need a better gun.
But, yeah, great game. ^^
Avenger29 - December 2, 2007 04:27 AM (GMT)
Well, in the part where you have to kill fourteen villagers, you can get yourself a nice shotgun in the two story house...
......................But I wouldn't recommend getting it until the villagers are all gone. Trust me. You don't want that shotgun until after the battle.
GoldenSama - December 2, 2007 04:45 AM (GMT)
Two story house, huh? I'll have to look for one.
By "gone" do you mean when the church bell rings and they all run off, or at some point in the future?
Avenger29 - December 2, 2007 05:37 AM (GMT)
The church bell. Once that rings, you're free to explore all of the buildings without any trouble at all, and you're able to get that pretty little shotgun, without getting your dome sawed off.
Crystal Rose - December 2, 2007 07:41 AM (GMT)
Hey! In the gamecube version do you get to eventually play as Ava?
GoldenSama - December 2, 2007 08:01 AM (GMT)
I have no idea. ^_^;
I'm still in the remote village in the very beginning of the game. Sorry C_R.
I found shotgun shells, but no shotgun... I must be in the wrong building.
Avenger29 - December 2, 2007 05:14 PM (GMT)
I'm assuming you're in the farm part, then.
Go back to the original area where you fought all of the villagers, and enter the two story house there.
And you get to play Assignment Ada on Gamecube, but only the Wii and PS2 versions have Separate Ways, a full on game.
GoldenSama - December 2, 2007 05:48 PM (GMT)
I found it. ^_^ I kept searching around. Thanks for the tip!
Avenger29 - December 2, 2007 06:00 PM (GMT)
Its one of those "search everything thoroughly" games.
Anyways, get at me if you need anymore help. I've beaten this game about ten times, so I know every little detail there is.
Crystal Rose - December 3, 2007 06:39 AM (GMT)
Booyah......
I beat the game.......THANK GOODNESS!!!
It's pretty darn awesome, the ending was sort of random though, it seemed ruushed. But this still was one of the best games i've played!
GoldenSama - December 3, 2007 10:37 PM (GMT)
Congrats on beating the game, C_R! ^_^
I've gotten a bit further too... although "El Gigante" is proving to be a problem.
Avenger29 - December 3, 2007 11:57 PM (GMT)
Hey Sama. Did you save the wolf at the beginning of the game?
If so, look for some much appreciated help later in the battle.
And as for Gigante himself, do what you can to avoid his attacks at first, and go inside the buildings to collect some much needed ammo, herbs, and some treasure. Then, theres two things you can do. (A) Use flash grenades. Or (B), Shotgun and the TMP. And make sure you hit the right button when you're cutting him, otherwise you're screwed.
GoldenSama - December 4, 2007 01:01 AM (GMT)
I did! Even if it's just a video game, I can't let a dog be in trouble.
Yeah, hitting the wrong button has been my problem. That and lack of ammo... my shotgun has been sold off, so I only have my TMP, Rifle, Handgun and Punisher.
Thanks for the advice. ^^ I have enough for the Rocket Launcher, but no room unless I sell off my Rifle... which is probably a mistake. Sniping has saved my butt quite a few times.
Avenger29 - December 4, 2007 02:10 AM (GMT)
You sold the shotgun?
Bad move, homie. Real bad move.
I suggest getting a new attache case from the merchant.

u_u;
Ruh roh... Raggy, re rav' a roblem!
I meant to get a attache case... I just didn't. I'll have to go back to another file before I bought the Rocket Launcher and I can get a case... but I'll deplete my money on that! I won't have enough for buying back the Shotgun.
Avenger29 - December 4, 2007 02:43 AM (GMT)
You'll get about 15,000 for killing Gigante, so I suggest you buy it back after that fight.
And make sure you're upgrading your weapons. Things are about to get hairy.
GoldenSama - December 4, 2007 04:31 AM (GMT)
u_u;
Upgrade? Yeah... I need to do more of that... could have a problem.
DBOZGT - December 19, 2007 08:53 AM (GMT)
I like Resident Evil 1 lol lol lol
