Title: Eggman...misunderstood?

Yes, the title is correct. I think poor old (modern) Eggman is misunderstood. He's probably an emotionally and mentally abused child inside, and his world domination schemes are just a cry for help. That's why all his plans fail. Because he wants them to. The poor guy wants someone to feel sorry for him, and help him. All Eggy needs is a hug....and probably some therapy.

Anyway, what do you other specimens think? Is Eggman a tortured human being crying out for love, or am I totally demented?

Oh! I'm a specimen! That's me!

It depends on which Eggman you mean. If you mean the Segaverse eggman, which I think you do, then... he's less evil than Shadow. Watch the end of Sonic Adventure 2 and you'll learn he's just trying to be like grandpoppa.

Of course... some of us wish he hadn't become so lame, but...

Segasonic-Eggman, at least the modern one, that could be true for.

Gen-Era Eggy was a depraved psycho who locked little furry animals in capsules and turned them into war machines. Not much misunderstood about him.

Comics-Eggman, from what I hear, is total evil... on a stick. [/Dunhammode]

Gen-Era Eggy was a depraved psycho who locked little furry animals in capsules and turned them into war machines. Not much misunderstood about him.

He didn't turn them into war machines, he used them as batteries for his war machines... oh wait, maybe that's not much better... :heh:

And if you think about it, he's still doing it. Even in the modern games (at least the Adventure and Advance ones), whenever you smash one of his machines, little fuzzy animals are still being freed... but now you can use the fuzzy animals to change the look of your Chao!

But, hey, if he had those Chaos Emeralds, he wouldn't need all those fuzzy animals!

But seriously, I think Eggman is crazy. Outside of turning into a gullible fool who gets double crossed at the end of each game, he hasn't changed at all. Both in the Genesis days and in modern days, he's an immature, childlike man who wants to rule the planet and prove himself as the best scientist that the world has ever known.

Sure, turning little animals into batteries is evil, but if you stop to think about it, animals are always being used for science in real life. Eggman's just taking it to a bit of an extreme. He probably doesn't think there's anything wrong with what he's doing.

I'm gonna have to post in here again at a later date... I'm so tired right now that... words... not... brain... stuff...

Eggman? He's a good ol' chap really ^_^
He just wants to rule WORLD!
MwaHaHaHaaaa!
...
Anyways, I believe that their is a member of this forum who also wishes to rule the world. He ain't evil (I think).
>.>
But ya, like BR said, he just wants to be like the grandaddy. :hs:
Poor guy. Looked up to him all those years to have him taken away from him so quickly in such a way. No wonder he hates everyone.

BUT... Luckily I don't think that there will be much of a chance for a super evil baddy to take over the role of uber-evil guy in the new sonic game. As I haven't seen anyone more evil than eggy in it yet. Which is good :p
Unless Sega introduce ANOTHER evil bugger even more evil than Eggman.
...
Or if Metal comes back AGAIN. Then I'm guessing he'd screw things up for Eggman.
Hmm... Having Metal in this new sonic game would be kinda cool. Racing against him in 2D like back in Sonic CD would be pretty cool.

Well, my only real Sonic experience comes from the Adventure games, so..I'm talking about that bloated genius.

liunt - April 7, 2008 06:15 AM (GMT)
Well i don't know about him being misunderstood.

He prety much wants to take over the world every single time not much
to go from there to analysis his psychological heath.(Thank you google for the correct spelling words!)
