Because I feel like doing some good old fashion Sonic discussion:

So, what's your favorite moments in any of the Sonic games, comics, shows, or movies? Why are they so awesome?

For me I have a lot of moments that rock from the anime Sonic X (my area of expertise):

1. The Dark Super Sonic Appearance:

Heck to the ya.....This was pretty much epic in my book because he was so darn angry and powerful. Sure he was only there for like 2 minutes but he absolutely pwned two robots (more than normal) in like two seconds and it took Eggman's arrival to snap him out of it. Heh, even the horrible 4Kids wasn't dumb enough to take it out! It was actually done pretty well considering the VA for Sonic couldn't make his voice sound angry to save his life.....They even left in some of the blood!

Oh! Random question: Is Dark Super Sonic a show exclusive version of Sonikku?

2. The Molly Arc (Specifically her death)
OMG if you are a girl stay away from Shadow....You will get blown/shot up! Though I didn't like Molly much I thought it was intresting how Shadow was getting serious Dejavu from both her and Cosmo concerning Maria. Plus it was an epic death for the poor girl (which was cut from the dub and made it look like she was a coward and ran away).

3.The Cosmo Arc (Specifically her death)
Once again, girls don't get chummy with Shadow, you die. This is my all time favorite and one of the most epic death scenes in a kids show. It makes me almost cry everytime I watch Tails have to shoot her. That and I like when she and Shadow interact, he can't decide if he wants to kill her or protect her.

Sonic X moments? GAH! BLASPHEMY!

(Seriously. That show is one of the biggest failures in Sonic history.)

Now... Let's see...

1. The Sonic 2 ending.
-- It's a classic, through and through. Tails taking to the skies after seeing the Death Egg explode. Super Sonic floating down triumphantly. One of the most memorable pieces of music in gaming history, which turned into a hit for Masato's band. Whats not to love?

2. The Hidden Palace showdown.
-- Sonic Vs. Knuckles, in front of that now-famous mural was incredible, in my book. Lest we forget the following cutscenes that led into the final zones of the game. One of the biggest reasons that Sonic 3 and Knuckles is the greatest game in series history.

3. "Sayanora, Shadow the Hedgehog."
-- This one would've been number one, if the following games hadn't ruined it. Shadow's death in SA2 was just a brilliant plot twist, and one of those rare things I actually enjoyed about that game. No one saw it coming. Then, it got ruined when, in Sonic Heroes, Shadow returned. Thanks, Sega, for ruining a brilliant ending.

I have a few more, but it seems three will be the limited amount of moments allowed.

Oh come on, you have to give Sonic X more credit than that.....Have you ever seen the anime in Japanese (10 times better than most of the next gen games if you ignore Chris)

Man, am I the only person alive who actually ENJOYS the nextgen games? (Sans SA2, of course.)

Anyways, after first being enlightened by the OVA, SatAM, and AoSTH, I just couldn't bring myself to watch Sonic X, at all. It was like a bad fanfic, animated.

Oh yeah, SA2 has an epic ending :3 It's my favorite game for a reason!

The intro to Sonic Riders....New style, pretty colors, and lots of speed :D You have gotta love the awesomeness even if I didn't really like the actual game.

I would, but I have my reasons for watching dubbed anime instead of subbed. Mainly because I don't want to have to read, and lose focus on the action.

Meh, SA2 was ok. I didn't like it so much, though, due to the EXTREME lack of Speed levels, and most of the speed levels that were there? Very cheap.

As for Riders' intro, DAYUM. It was pretty sweet. I'm a little saddened that they didn't do another one for SR:ZG. An intro like that would've made ZG a perfect ten.

5. Going into 'Sonic World' on Sonic Jam for the first time. It was one of my first sonic game, and I couldn't believe how amazing it all was.

4. Super Sonic on Sonic Adventure. The action. The music. Chaos. I LOVED IT.

3. Sayanora, Shadow the Hedgehog. AMAZE. I was like, dude. The whole final chapter was great, but when Sonic said those last words and the music cut in during the credits... Sega had done something right.
But yeah, then they screwed it up by bringing him back >.>

2. The ending to Sonic 3 plus Knuckles. Epic.

1. Becoming Super Sonic on Sonic R on the final level. I loved that game so much. Then when I unlocked Super Sonic I was like 'it can't get any better than this'. Then, I used him on the final level and 'Super Sonic Racing' came on. It just got a whole lot better.


If I had a no. 6, it would have probably been when I saw Metal in Sonic OVA for the first time. I was like 'ZOMG!'

Hmmm...my favorite Sonic moments? I don't know...however, I suppose I could name a few...

...obviously, the ending of SA2...and a lot of various moments in that game.

After Eggman blew up half the moon, the secretary:

"Mr. President, this is a national crisis."

Oh, really? I would say, you know, that a weapon like the Eclipse Cannon in the hands of a megalomaniac like Eggman would be a bit more like an INTERNATIONAL crisis.

And in Sonic X, in the episode where Rouge is first hired by the government, she asks something along the lines of "A thief like me working as a government agent? What will the taxpayers think?" :LOL:

In Shadow the Hedgehog, when you are about to enter the stage "Death Ruins", in which G.U.N. has a contigent of Black Arms trapped in a jungle and is moving in to finish them off, when the G.U.N. commander authorizes "full use of all tactical weapons". Considering how there are such things as "tactical" nuclear weapons, he basically authorized the use of (however concentrated-area effect) nuclear weapons.

Oh yeah, and the intro CG cutscene whenever you start a new game of Shadow the Hedgehog. That scene was cool. However, when the Black Arms started their attack, and Shadow said "I don't have time for these humans." I couldn't help but wonder what else that an introverted anthropomorphic hedgehog like Shadow had to do...:LOL:

The one scene in Shadow the Hedgehog in which Maria repeatedly begged Shadow to help her, saying that horrible things would happen, and something must be done. However, in that cutscene, she never actually said WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS. It was just a bunch of "Shadow, PLEASE! The research lab must be destroyed! Something must be done! Shadow, PLEASE! I'm begging you!" You had to wait till the mission started to actually discover what was the matter.

I shall give Sonic X credit for the various alien races in season three and the story about just who the seedlings and metarex really were...and makes me think about contributing more to
my Sonic sci-fi idea...


But yes, I realize there is a lot of hatred directed at a certain character in that animae...:LOL:

3. The point in SA1 when Zero hurt Amy's bird or whatever, and she stopped running and decided to kick his ass.

2. I'm a romantic at heart. :heh: My second-favorite scene is in SA2 where Knuckles 'saves' Rouge from falling off the catwalk in Meteor Zone or whatever (even though she has wings...). They'd never had a love anything before... I, er... I restarted the game and beat the boss again... :heh:

1. Basically anything with E102. XD Not including Battle, just in SA1. My real favorite was his theme music (I'd kill for that mp3) but my favorite moment was when he was flying down to Mystic Ruins and decides that Eggman and his programming, that is, the rules which govern his entire brain, can suck it, and that he's going to go slaughter all his brothers and sisters now. Such a badass.

Seriously? Shadow's all, argh, my past is sooo bebothering. E102's just like, all right brain, you listen to me.

As for favorite Sonic moments... I don't really have much to say on the subject. :heh: The ending "cutscene" from Sonic 2, as well as most of the later "cutscenes" from Sonic 3 & Knuckles were pretty interesting... From the 3D games, I never really finished Adventure 2, and Adventure 1 didn't leave much of a mark on me for its story. And (outside of Sonic Heroes, which I quickly grew to really dislike) I haven't really played any other 3D Sonic games.

I guess you can say I don't play these games for the story. :heh:

For some reason that scene in SA2 where Sonic is launched into space and the capsule explodes made me laugh so hard. That other scene where Knuckles saves Rouge had me "Aww"ing at the time, too.
