Title: New Darkness RP
Description: And so it begins

HellAvatar - August 19, 2005 10:44 AM (GMT)
Night stood up, looking around at the scene around him. It was a ruined city, much like his own hometown... His hometown... The one that has been destroyed hundreds of years ago... And still, it lived in his memory.

He started walking, going nowhere in particular. The town around him seemed ghostly, unreal, immaterial in it's very core, like if floating in the middle of nowhere, a mirage that does not exist. The area seemed to shift, to baffle the mind and confudse the spirit, making it seem impossible as to where to go, where to turn, why...

Why was he here? How did he get here? When did he get here?

These questions floated in Night's mind, as he walked on. He could not focus, something he found very unnerving, considering he had the ability to ficus his mind even in the most extreme of situations. He looked about, suddenly uncomfortable as he came up to a large, ruined mansion, the walls of which were charred and burned, and the very walls collapsing in places. This has become a haunted mansion of sorts...

Night suddenly turned around, and he saw a figure standing there. A female figure dressed in white and red, red hair billowing in the wind. Her face half-turned to Night, and he gasped when he saw the eye that was looking at him. He knew that eye! He knew those eyes, actually... From his far past, back when he was still human, he saw those eyes... And remembered how much of an inpiration they were...

A whispering voice suddenly breathed on the wind, as a gust of air whipped about Night, billowing his cloak and biting harsly into his face.

"Wake up, Jage..."

Huh? But I am awake! Night thought desperately, suddenly trying to fight something inside of him...

"Wake up..." The voice seemed louder, and more annoyed.

But I am...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"WAKE UP!!!"

Night jerked awake, getting up so suddenly that he hit his forehead on the dark nightlight that he hung above his bed before he fell asleep, since he was reading an ancient tome of his.

"Ouch... LIGHT!!!"

"Get your fat, lazy, over-procrastinative arse out of bed and get over to the kitchen!!! Jeez, how long can you be asleep???"

Night grumbled. What woke Light up so early today anyways? It was barely 7, and Night usually got up at 7:30. Light got up at about 11 or 11:30. This didn't make any sense, unless of course he was forgetting something.

Night looked about, blinking sleep out of his eyes. His room was as usual, dark and gloomy, with barely eny hint of light even during daytime. He liked it that way... Dark and mysterious. Or to say more precisely, dark and dangerous. He saw shadows shift about in the room, the signature of imprinted power on them. Night has enchanted this room a long time ago to be the most terrifying crash course anyone could take when they came into his room. Light never dared to venture here, since the guy was still afraid of the dark. Not that he hasn't tried, really... The mischievous guy never pass up a chance to screw around with the dark one, so Night had to put up top precautions.

Night slowly got up. He grabbed his clothing off the chair back, and started to put it on. The shadows that swirled right beside the door suddenly alerted, and swirled around Night, as if identifying the intruder. Then they suddenly lay low to the ground, backing off to a considerable distance, as if understanding that messing with the master is not a good idea.

While Night was getting dressed, he pondered about his dream. He knew that woman, he knew that... But who was she? What was her name? Why did she suddenly appear in his dream?

Throwing questions away and out of his mind, Night focused on right now. His stomach complained, needing nourishment just like any other. Even though Night was not exactly human, he still needed to eat, and that made way to hunger. So Night stepped out of his door, just to collide with Light who was running to get him.

"Watch where you're going."

"Well, Night it is already 7 am, and you are still not awake! I just had to get you up sometime! And I was watching! It is YOU who came out suddenly from behind the corner!"

"But you were running at full speed..."

Thus chatting and arguing, both of them took the elevator, down into the main hall of the tower.

Neither of them knew that soon enough, they would embark on the most dangerous mission that they have ever faced...

(Alright, guys... You're on!)

"Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos.

Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos.

Azarat--

Blood shall pool the streets and fire shall reign from the sky,
Humans shall run in fright and all of humanity shall die

Raven fell to the cold rooftop of Titan's Tower with a soft thud and she felt pain shoot through her body. That pain, however, went largely ignored because of what had just happened, again. The young girl with the gothic nature shook her head and breathed in deeply, repeatedly opening and closing her eyes as she tried to block out the vision of fire and death that had overtaken her normal morning meditation yet again.

It was still early in the morning, and Raven had yet to see any of her fellow Titans awake. She stood up once again, clutching her chest as her breathing decreased from the rapid way it had been going only a second ago. She swallowed hard and then she turned and stared at the horoizon, anger in her dark eyes.

He was doing it again. He was trying to poison her mind, interrupt her meditation and make her a target. Even from an alternate dimension, locked behind the seals of Azarath, Trigon was proving his will to his daughter as he urged her slowly towards the destiny she had always tried to escape from.

Raven pulled her cape tight around her and sighed softly. It was impossible for her to finish meditating as long as this was going on, and if she did stop now, it would mark three days that she had not been able to finish the all important ceremony. Sighing at her foul luck, and falling into a bad mood before breakfast, Raven turned and walked down the staircase back into the tower, and quickly headed towards her room. She really was not in the mood to see any of her friends right now, and she could only hope she'd make it to her room without interruption.

----

On the edge of the harbor of Jump City, a man sat on the dock looking out at a perfect view of the bay, and of the large T-shaped tower that stood in the middle of the harbor. This man was wearing a mask of orange and black, and he had only one eye, on his left side.

Slade Wilson, mercenary-for-hire and criminal mastermind, the man once known as "Deathstroke, the Terminator", watched his prey with a sadistic glee in his single eye. He could see Raven floating there, above the tower, and he saw the way she'd fallen from her meditation pose. His employer must be hard at work giving his daughter hell.

Ah well, no skin off his bones. . . . . Slade stopped to think of the irony of that statement (those of you who have seen The End know what I'm talkin' about! XD). Slade had pleanty of time to bring Raven to the portal grounds to unleash the dark master of hell onto this world, and gain his just reward for services.

Cojo - August 19, 2005 05:55 PM (GMT)
"Hey Raven wait up!" Robin ran toward his friend Raven happy to see her. Robin was a man of many talents and attributes. Once sidekick to the legendary Dark Knight Robin had decided to form a new group of crime fighters the "Teen Titans". Batman had approved and so Robin had went out to several places before choosing Jump City.

Thus there Robin was surprised to see a tower already in the making by the parent of a Victor Stone.ak.a. Cyborg due to an ingury that occured when he was younger. Robin still hadnt figured out the cause to his friends deathly ingury, but Robin vowed to cure his friend someday...someday.

Going down the alleys of Jump City Robin had then found a theather. Outside the theather lyed an actor who was green. Robin had asked him to come over to the almost finish tower. And so Gar Logan accepted.Coming to the tower Gar revealed his true nature. That he was a thing of nature who due to a rare disease that his parents had died saving him from Gar or BeastBoy could now turn into animals. Robin asked him to join the team and he had accepted instantly.

So now with an almost finished tower and three members. Robin sought out more until more came crashing through the roof. Koriand'r a.k.a. Starfire a young Tamaranean girl who had came from her home planet to Earth. Robin hastily took her in and so the Tamaran became the destructive but loving part of the team. Starfire was taught many of Earth's culture some she seems to still not understand completely.

Shortly after the arrival of Starfire a shadow was cast over the tower as Raven came to their doorstep. Raven explained how she was a crimefighter who could use a good team. And so the team excepted her in. Raven was strange. A gothic girl who seemed deprived of any emotions.

A few years went passed with many adventures and villians that had been defeated. Until yet again the Titans had found another crimefighter Terra. The titans had found her running from a giant sand snake creature. Ready to help the young girl the titans were surprised to see that she had led it into a trap where she used he powers over rock and the Earth to crush it. Terra thus entered the titans with a secret that she shared with one person Beastboy. The secret was that she had not yet mastered her powers so she fumbled all the time. Once going on a mission with the Titans and losing her powers out there Robin had guessed what had happened. Telling Terra he knew of her lack of Control. Terra enraged took it out on BeastBoy and ran away again. Terra has recently returned to the Titans ready for another chance after she had proven that she was now in control. Terra then became a LOYAL member who would NEVER BETRAY them. Terra was even the one who killed Slade. Stopping a volcano from errupting which led to Slade falling into a pit of Lava. He was never captured. His body never found.

(ok that took a frikin half hour to type. hey HA or Gs or Cr or Br if you want anything changed off of this just let me know.)

Rowen heard the guys bickering all the way down the Elevator. Which was supposed to be sound proof. Sighing Rowen went to the doors. Rowen was a speedster. He could also shoot lighning bolts from his hands. For as long as Rowen could remember he had had a happy family. Until a while ago when his house had been burned down in a fire. The fire was lit by a member of a ruthless gang. AS the fire destroyed his house and his family inside. Rowen was struck be lightning. Thus his powers started to arrive. about a while ago Rowen had been taken in be the OmniDuo.

HellAvatar - August 19, 2005 11:04 PM (GMT)
Night and Light continued bickering all the way down, and even when they went out into the main hall and took a seat on the couch. This was an everyday thing, a daily "ritual" of arguing of sorts. Even though Night was not one to talk uselessly about something, he often found himself doing so when Light was about. It was their brotherhood that made them so close that they felt completely free around each other. Their bond was so strong, that even the greater powers and the gods themselves could not shake the loyalty and trust between these 2.

"But Night, you are usually the speedster!"

"Cut it out. You're in the fault this time and you know it. And you are far faster than I could ever be."

"Oh, come on, how was I supposed to know that you already got up and were heading over?"

"Because I'm not a procrastinator like you are."

"What makes you think I am a procrastinator?"

Night snickered.

"What about your chores from yesterday? You never did them..."

"That was once!!!"

"And the week before, and the one before that."

Light got up, waving his arms in defeat as he headed over through a small door over to the are of the main hall that was designated as the kitchen.

"Arguing with you, Night, is useless..."

"Why? I make convincing arguments?"

"Be quiet."

Light started to search around in the fridge while Night took up a motre comfortable position on the couch. Slowly, his eyes closed, and he went into his usual morning meditation. Light got stuff out of the fridge and started to prepare food. He wasn't much of a logic person, but he was one mean cook, and that was one of hispersonal prides. He looked up as Rowen entered, and nodded at the guy.

"Keep chat down, man. Night's asleep on the couch."

There was a scoff from the couch, which caused Light to grin and return to his cooking.

Cojo - August 19, 2005 11:34 PM (GMT)
"Hmm ok wouldnt want to wake your brother now would we?" Again a scoff. "Oops maybe we already desturbed him."
______________

Cyborg got off his table. Yawning he checked his schedule than went down stairs to make breakfast. Cyborg was bored. BB and Terra had gone on a special mission together and wouldnt be back until who knows when. So Cyborg had been forced to play games with Starfire who didnt quite grasp the idea that losing was a bad thing. Mostly these days he would just train with Robin in the gym. Cyborg started to cook breakfast for himself,Raven,Robin, and Starfire. Getting out everyones favorites pancakes, bacon, mustard, and tea.

GoldenSama - August 20, 2005 03:19 AM (GMT)
Slade knew that Tower like the back of his hand. Oh sure, it had been a couple of years since his former apprentice, Tara Markov, aka Terra the Titan, had given him the blueprints of the Tower, and he knew Cyborg had upgraded security since then, but it was still nothing compared to the criminal mastermind of Slade Wilson. With a devilish glint in his eye, Slade watched from afar. He could see the sunlight gleaming in the crystal water as he watched the Tower, and he could imagine the faces of his favorite pet projects as they went about their usual morning rituals.

A brisk workout, pancakes and bacon, and then a quick scan of the computer to see if any criminals, specifically Slade himself, had been spotted for Robin. A heaty breakfast of anything meaty and greasy for Victor Stone, son of the genius military scientist Dr. Stone. Tofu, complaints about Cyborg's eating habits, and video game chat for Beast Boy. A large bowl of mustard and a strange conversation usually accompanied Starfire.

But... Slade didn't care about any of them. Oh, he did, but not today. Today his focus on Raven. He knew her routine too -- meditation and herbal tea. Ah, but today it would be cut short, that Slade knew. Today she would be in for a rather rude surprise, for certain.

"Enjoy your breakfast, Titans." Slade whispered to the wind. "It will be your last peaceful meal... probably your last meal altogether."

-----

Raven paused and turned. Robin was up, and he was approaching her.

Perfect. She thought bitterly. Just what I need; company.

She sighed. She did not really mean that. Robin was a good friend, but he couldn't help her with this problem, and right now she wasn't in the mood to discuss the things that were going on inside her mind. She did not say a word to him, she merely crossed her arms and leaned against the wall, a monotone look on her face.

"Yes?" She finally said at last, wishing for a way out of the conversation before it even began.

HellAvatar - August 20, 2005 05:22 PM (GMT)
"So, what is to be the first catch?"

Lightr was feeling a bit talkative and chatty. Well... He was feeling like he would feel any time with a quiet surrounding. It made him uncomfortable to be in quiet, dark places, and this was one of 2. And he was planning on unmaking it one.

Unfortunately for him, Night was deep in meditation. Heh, the guy always knew how to busy himself, Light thought, chapping up cheese as fast as a master chef would chop up vegetables. A few twists here, a bright heat flash concentratred here, and voila! Cheeseburgers without the meat. This is how Light liked them, and Night didn't mind them. And Rowen... Well, can't say anything for Rowen. The guy was strange. Not more so than old shady-whiskers over there, but...

Another snort from the couch. The guy probably heard THAT thought in his meditative state. Not exactly mind-reding, but more of hearing a loud speech in some other world he liked to call the Shadow Realm. The very thought of that world sent a shiver down Light's spine: What he heard from Night was definitely not his chosen vacation spot.

"Dude, what's with the quiet?"

"I'm trying to concentrate here!" came the annoyed voice from the couch. Jeez, Night never did lighten up... Well, that was to be expected. He always was as taut as a string on a guitar, and as ready to be plucked as ever. When he WAS plucked though, it was the fingers that were being damaged, not him.

"Well, if you keep concentrating, you'll miss breakfast. I got your tea steaming over there. Come get it yourself when you are ready, unless you want to go hungry."

"Light, it is impossible for me to go hungry," Night replied, getting off the couch, and walking through the small door to the kitchen area.

"I know, I know... But even the dead need to eat, dammit!"

"Light, stop cussing, and let me through to what you said was my tea."

"Alright, alright, go ahead... Mr. Practical..."

Light grumbled letting Night through, juggling 3 plates while going over to the other table. Night smiled to himself as he poured the tea Light made for him into a cup, and took a sip. Even though the upbeat guy never did like to do things, he never managed to miss in the making of Night's morning tea. Was it the shadowy presense that scared him? Or was it just simple the fact that Light would not admit for a lifetime? Eh, whatever. Too much thinking.

With those thoughts, Night walked out of the kitchen, greeting Rowen with a glance.

"Sleep well?"

(Also, if you have not noticed, I'm juggling points of view here. I hope I'm making them clear enough, but if you are confused by who is who, I will try to make thoughts clearer.)

Cojo - August 20, 2005 09:18 PM (GMT)
"Yeah pretty much. Woke up halfway through the night so I decided to run to Tokyo. By the way theirs chinese food in the fridge."
________________________________________________________________________
"Oh nothing Raven I was just asking whats up? You seem really quiet lately."

HellAvatar - August 21, 2005 05:52 PM (GMT)
"I hope you didn't wake anyone up, Rowen. If you broke the sound barrier on that run, people might have notice you, and then imagine the heyday we'd be in. Us superheroes are not exactly the best things to have around, and our powers are subjects of blasphemy and you know that. Imagine what religious cults would do to us if they get to us."

Night did not much like religious cults. Not one bit. It was one religious cult that killed him in the first place and turned him into basically what you call an immortal. He hated cults and religious groups to the fullest, and realised their danger when superpowers were such a novelt. Come on, it's not every day you go and ses someone fart fire!!! Well, maybe not through the backside, but breathing fire sure!

"Oh, Night, stop being such a spoilsport! The guy just wanted to have fun!"

"At the expense of our safety?"

"I'm sure that he was not exactly in full view, Night. It's stupid to be in full view at these times."

"I hope he wasn't. Were you?"

No one knew Rowen that well. He joined the team right after Night and Light arrived in Jump City, as the new guy in town. Night and Light themselves, the Omniduo, were summoned by the amount of trouble heading in this place. The infamous criminal Slade, and several others who were more than petty criminals thrived here. Perfect for a new team to come around. It seemed that the Titans themselves, even though the Omniduo has never met them, were unable to take care of all the trouble here, and were taxed to the very limits of their sanity. So Night and Light arrived as backup, as support for the times ahead.

Plus Night had weird dreams and strange power fluxes that originated from Jump City. It could only be explained in one way: demonic interference. A very powerful one at that, because Night was capable to sense it all the way from Australia, where their last mission took them. It was strange... WHAT could have so much power? Suirely not one of the Titans... But then who? The criminal Slade? Or someone else entirely? Who was using demonic power or being an avatar for a higher demon to be able to create such a flux? So meny questions, so little answers...

Oh well. Back to breakfast.

Cojo - August 21, 2005 08:36 PM (GMT)
"Phht you kidding? I was going waaaay to fast for them to see. Besides I took the long way. You know over the Pacific Ocean.Anyways with my camo gear the guy I bought the food from couldnt see me. As for the Sound Barrier I took careful aim as to when I broke it."

BlueRush - August 21, 2005 11:01 PM (GMT)
(( Thank you, cojo! Makes things easier- but how 'bout Terra went away from "Terra" to "A Few Weeks Ago", so that everything in Seasons 2, 3 and 4 still happened the same, except for "Betrayal" and "Aftershock", and also, explaining Terra's control over her powers? Also, if anybody objects to Terra not having betrayed them, say so. ^_^ ))

"Dudes, guess what's for breakfast!!" said Beast Boy, leaping up on the counter and grinning hugely. Terra, laying on the sofa and watching TV, sighed. "Hmm I dunno- tofu?"
Beast Boy sweatdropped. "Uhh- yes... but, not just any tofu! Tofu-"
"-tofu eggs and bacon." smiled Terra.
Beast Boy groaned. "Ugggh! How do you know these things?!" he said, pulling his hair out. "What're you- puh-sigh-chick or something?!!"

Terra sat up, turned around and grinned stonily at him. "Noooo, I'm not 'psychic'. You've made the same breakfast for the past week!"
Beast Boy paused. "Oh. Yeah. Heh heh!"

Meanwhile, in downtown Jump City, a young girl walked into a bar. She sat down and called the bartender. "You're too young, kid. Beat it." She shook her head. "I'm not here for that. I'm here on a lead. You see--" and here she paused- "I'm one of those superhero guys," she said. The bartender leaned in and spoke in whisper: "Then you really better beat it. This place is full o'people who'd love to see you hangin', see?"
She grabbed the scruff of his neck roughly and looked at him grimly through magnified eyes. "Now see here," she said in a biker voice, "I'm not kidding around. I need information, dig?" The bartender, aware of the wide variety of powers kids could have these days, nodded quickly.
"Allright. I need all the information you have on Jojo the Dogfaced Boy and Elvis' secret base of operations."

"AND STAY OUT, YOU NUTCASE!" shouted the barkeep, tossing her out the door. She landed roughly, pushing her goggles up on her face. "If you're looking for freaks, go check out that tower in the bay!" He slammed the door and she looked out into the sunlit bay, walking ahead.

(Gwaa x.x sorry ive been M.I.A , okies now to start XD)

Starfire yawned loudly turning around in her circle bed, morning had come but the teen princess did not want to accept that.

"I guess I have no choice" starfire mummered letting the light get the best of her. Sitting up Starfire let out a yawn and finally decided to get out of bed.

_______

"Morning friends" Starfire greeted happily looking to her friends in the main room. "How are you all?"

(OC: sorry for the cruddy post, I shall be back ~.~)

HellAvatar - September 1, 2005 11:50 PM (GMT)
After food was done with, Light went to his usual morning entertainment: got on the gamestation and put his nose into the games he had. He was a guy that liked to have fun and that loved to be lazy and procrastinative, as well as some other things. Too bad Night wasn't that way.

The dark guy was a more down-to-earth person, with his head always level and true. He disappeared a few moments ago, and Light knew exactly where. You did not have to be a psychic to know that Night was at his ususal training routine at the training grounds. Light was supposed to be there too, but he was just a bit too busy with the games to pay any attention to anything else...

Except when the alarm blared, and a new criminal has shown up on the main screen.

Light immediately left the game where it was, cursing the alarms for breaking his concentration. Looking at the big computer screem on the far side of the room, he noticed identification and spot of crime reported. Supposedly, the joker Mumbo Jumbo, a Joker (Batman kinda Joker) poser, was at it at the local bank.

"Hey Rowen! You see what I see? Get over to the grounds and tell Night that Mumbo appeared! I'll set up the ride and meet you at the entrance of the tower!"

With those words, Light ran over to the elevator and down into the basement level, where he got out their ride, a car full of differend gadgets and tricks. Looking more like a stylish ferrari, the car could literally take out a military installation with everything that has been installed on it. But this time, no weapons were required. Only the speed. Light got into the driver's seat, and got the car out of the underground garage, waiting nearl the entrance of their home for Night and Rowen.

"Finally... Some fun to be had..."

Cojo - September 2, 2005 05:29 AM (GMT)
"AYE AYE Captain." Rowen mocked saluted. Rowen sped off toward the training grounds. "Hey Night we need to go emergency."
