Title: Anyone notice this?

EvilSpritist - August 5, 2008 04:21 AM (GMT)
Every time Clown prince of Crime comes on, all the names after him change color...or is it just me?

Dark Phazon - August 5, 2008 04:38 AM (GMT)
???

All the mod/admins have different colored usernames. CPoC's is based off of a red font, while the others are based off of a white font; depending on what browser you use, you may or may not see various colors glowing around the main text (don't ask me what they are, since I don't use IE, and as such cannot see that glow). I don't know what you're talking about, unless you are just seeing other admins?

Anyways, this is more of something that one would post in the Chatty Chat thread, and not in its own, but whatever.

Cous, I think your not the only one....I see it too.

It is probably because of Internet Explorer...'cause I have it too.

tinmanti - August 9, 2008 03:08 PM (GMT)
Yup, I get the same problem. And I use IE aswell.

Pokol Da'Erran - August 9, 2008 09:03 PM (GMT)
I use IE, but I don't have that problem... Maybe it's something with your version of IE.

I remember that a long time ago I used to have an icon somewhere at the top of this board that reads "this site best viewed using Firefox" or something along those lines. I'm not sure who took it down, but I never bothered to put it back up again. Regardless, though, I still believe this board looks best if you use Firefox.

I'm using FireFox V3, and it doesn't do that, BUT the other Mods/Admin's names glow gray instead of Blue/Red/Pink. Spoony's name is totally red, but in IE ie was red and blue-ish. =/

Clown Prince of Crime - August 10, 2008 10:20 AM (GMT)
To me, all the Admin/Mod names look white except my own which looks red.

I think CPoC might be missing a </span>, but since he's the ROOT, I never could change it. D: But yeah, I knew all about this.

All sites are best viewed with Firefox, or at least Safari. Even among copies of a single browser, though, javascript capablities vary, and I believe that's what's used for the glowing. I wouldn't worry about it.

But yeah, CPoC, go to Manage User Groups -> Spoon -> Online List Format [Suffix], and there should be a </span> there. If there's not, add it and we'll see if that changes things.

I have a strange feeling of deja-vu. Like, I swear you told me to do this before and I did... but since the </span> actually isn't there, maybe that didn't happen... or it did and I just never got around to doing it like I thought I did. Whatever the case, it's done now.

Pokol Da'Erran - August 10, 2008 06:11 PM (GMT)
Yay, whatever issues caused this have been worked out! Lock time.

By the way, my homepage is best viewed using Internet Explorer. I'm rebelling against all the "best viewed with Firefox" sites out there. (No offense, admins)

Clown Prince of Crime - August 11, 2008 12:34 AM (GMT)
That's all fine and dandy, I guess, but I really see no difference on your site when using IE or Firefox, except that with IE not all of the pop-ups get blocked successfully.

EvilSpritist - August 11, 2008 04:41 AM (GMT)
Yay, I'm not crazy!
