CHAPTER ONE OF THREE- PLEASE LIVE!

One night, ten individuals ate their dessert flan.
One night, ten individuals went to bed contented.
One night, ten individuals had a strange dream....
That night, the <insert-compliment-here>est adventure the Rapidverse had yet seen was about to unfold...

In this dream, there was a bright light. They found themselves alone before a ruin of great size. The earth began to shake and strange things happened... trees began to melt and mountains break off from the ground and float away... the ruins cracked as very reality broke apart around them... and then, from the ruined ruins, rose a great emerald... THE Emerald... shining blinding white light until they awoke with a stab of pain.

These ten individuals were Sonic the Hedgehog, Miles "Tails" Prower, Knuckles the Echidna, Amy Rose, Rouge the Bat, Shadow the Hedgehog, Cosmo the... um, thingy ( :embarrassed: ), Fin the Shark, Jade the Fox, and Pexxus the Groundhog. These ten individuals were standing before the very ruins from their dream- a tall, echidna-built spire atop a triple trapezoidal base. But that was not what now interested them.

Below a snake-shaped overhang on the mystic ruins there was a door, and on the door three large emerald-shaped indentations. But this was still not what interested them.

Before the door stood, amidst a shining light, an ancient echidna.


"My name is Athair," said the echidna in a booming voice, "And what you have just seen could be the future- the complete destruction of our reality. Sealed within this ruin is the Infinity Emerald- the very soul of our universe. Since the three Super Emeralds were scattered eons ago, the forces of entropy have sought to tear this universe in peices, dividing this reality and, undoubtedly, the fandoms as well. This would result in endless splitting of personalities, death, doom and destuction-- not to mention the shipping wars!
"In order to prevent this chaos, I have called upon you ten heroes. I need you to recover the three Super Emeralds, the red, the blue, and the green, from their various locations from over the world. You will face many difficulties, but one by one you will bring them back to me- I know you can. I trust in you."
Athair smiled mysteriously, and pointed a finger towards the highest peak of the Mortmain Mountains. "For some years now, the first Super Emerald, the red one known as Hyoo-ee, has rested there, upon the peak of Mt. Neverest. Go there, and bring it back here."

There was a pause as the heroes muttered and called various forms of acceptance and readiness. Then Athair, abandoning his mystique and suddenly becoming irate, said, "What are you waiting for? G'wan, FETCH!" After they looked at him with puzzling gazes, he groaned and leapt down to a nearby ledge, put a statue in place, and disappeared into the ruins.

(( I left some characters out on purpose- don't wanna force everybody here at once. Cosmo's family, the bad guys, Kaya, Vlad, the future gang, and anybody else can join in any way you see fit! ^_^ Let's make this a long run- pleeeeease? :) ))

Miles "Tails" Prower had just flown in from Knothole City, and his tails were sore. Landing at his workshop, he'd gulped down dessert and collapsed atop his latest Tornado...

Now, having heard all that, he was somehow re-energized. "Oh boy! Another adventure, huh, Sonic?" said Tails excitedly to his hero. He looked around. "Oh- Cosmo! Hi, Cosmo!!" Tails waved perkily, jumping up and down so she'd see him.

Shadow had been running around and had just found a nice grassy field to sleep in when he was transported to this place.
"Hmph hero? So I saved the world does that make me a hero? "Shadow teh Hedgehog said.

Knuckles the Echidna let out a low sigh.

It was going to be one of those days, he could already tell. If he understood correctly, the world was in danger once again. They needed to gather the Super Emeralds to open the door to the Infinity Emerald. Okay, he'd play along for now. Knuckles shurgged and looked around at the other nine companions in the room. It was... odd, to say the least. He knew some of them, like Sonic and Tails, would be more than happy to save the world just for the heck of it. And Amy would surely come along just because Sonic was going. Then... Shadow. Well, Shadow never struck Knuckles as the "Save the world" type, but it looked like this ancient echidna either didn't know or didn't care. Rouge was there too. Yeah, she'd be interested in collecting the Super Emeralds alright, but maybe not for the same reasons... as for the rest, Knuckles didn't know them well enough to form an opinion, but he could guess from the treasure trove of characters brought here, they'd add even more flavor to the mix.

"Well, this is new." Fin the Shark, fastest swimmer on the planet, commented to himself as he looked around. While Fin was special, and could survive on land, he wasn't used to being on it, and he wasn't well known to the land critters. An adventure on dry land? Not exactly something that sounded real fun to him, but maybe he'd learn to like it.

((I'm-a save Vlad and my others guys for later, y'dig? XD))

Amy leaned on a nearby tree thinking about what just happened "So we have to save the world again?" she asked no one in particular "Oh well, as long if Sonic's doing it I will to!" As usual Amy's eyes became stary and she let out a happy sigh.

Nearby Princess Cosmo (or just Cosmo to her friends) was taking everything in that was said by Athair. Though it was complicated it wasnt totally random. Saving the world was normal for her friends and soon to be normal for her. Suddenly hearing a famiular voice the young flower turned around. There was Tails; her best friend ever (and maybe more), waving to her.

"Tails!" Cosmo exclaimed happily running to the kitsune.

Jade laughed "Well this sounds like fun!" The vixen pulled her long pink locks of hair into a ponytail.

Knuckles stamped his foot and crossed his arms. What a group to save the world. Well, they'd manage. He let out a small yawn and leaned back, looking up at the sky.

Secretly, he was happy about this. Not happy that the world was in danger, but happy that he had something to do. Being the last of his tribe of Echidna, and being the sole guardian of the Master Emerald, Knuckles was often alone. An excuse to be around the group was a happy occasion, even if the world was in danger.

Knuckles started thinking about Mt. Neverest. The first Super Emerald was at the peak of that mountain. He had a bad feeling that this would not be as easy as it sounded.

"This place is really vunerable isn't it?" The bat asked anyone who was listening. It was a rhetorical question, but she asked anyway. The world always seemed to be in 'grave' danger. And all because of Eggman. Maybe Rouge was under estimating him. But he was stopped before, so this wasn't anything different.

The ancient echidna had just told them what was happening and what needed to be done. Rouge wasn't really listening; that is, until she heard the word "Emeralds". The word "Super" only added to her interest.

Though sometimes she didn't like working/traveling with these people, it was in her nature to. You know, for the emeralds.

High atop a promontory looking over the Mystic Jungle stood a small abandoned factory. Inside, a group of robots stood clustered around a black metallic egg-shaped figure. Two robots were directly before him.

"Father," said the first tentatively, a minature version of Robotnik himself, "Breezie and I have very good news..." he twittered anxiously. "Wh- why don't you tell him, Breezie?"

Breezie, however, seemed to have steeled herself for the moment. ( Ha! It's a pun! ....Sorry. u_u; ) "Master, we have built our first child, A.D.A.M., and--" she paused, debating the dangers of the glint in their leader's eyes.

"And..." said the round figure seething with quiety controlled anger, for he knew exactly what was coming next.

"A- and we're leaving," said Breezie. Robotnik Jr. backed away a little as Black Metal Eggman stood up. "I- We beleive that such a militaristic atmosphere of the Metallix is hardly the right atmosphere for a boy to be raised and- and we hardly think you should have any influence in the matter!" she said as the behemoth advanced.

"Leaving?" said Black Metal Eggman delicately. "How long must I suffer this? First Silver Snively leaves to serve that Robolactus, then Metal Sonic leaves off in a huff, then someone lets the Tails Doll out, and now THIS? In case you haven't noticed, children," and at this he spread his arm around the wrecked and worthless factory, "I have no army. You few of my minions are all that makes the Metallix a force to be reckoned with. I need every soldier I can and-- Eh?" Something flickered to life on the screen behind him. He looked at it. "Ahhhh.... very good." He turned back to the two robots. "Leave! Now!"

Surprised at this change of heart, the two scurried away, bearing their child with them. Once they had left, his remaining charges, Metal Knuckles, Silver Sonic, and RoboAntoine, clustered around the screen. "Eef eet makes you feel any better, sir," said RoboAntoine, "I shall nevair leave your side!" He saluted, and Black Metal Eggman muttered something involving "wishing", and "he would", before saying, "After this next scheme, we three is all we need!" He laughed evilly, and the metallic cackles sounded off into the night.

"Cosmo!" cheered Tails again, as she approached. "Isn't it cool that we got counted as heroes too?" he said.

"Allright, allright, I'll go," a voice definitely not Athairs floated up from the hollow into which he had disappeared. A dark gray creature with rasberry eyes leapt out and down. "Hello," he said to the nearest person, which happened to be Knuckles, "My name is Razorberry. I've been sent to be your guide- to help you get to the Emerald. Is everyone ready?"

((GS, I dunno what you're planning to do with Eggman, but as he's meant to be the main villan for this chapter, you can bring him in any time you like. ^_^ Thankies!))

"Mountains, huh?" Fin sighed. Mountains did not sound fun. He'd never climbed a mountain before. Oh, he'd seen underwater mountains all his life, but he could swim up those. Having to climb one on land... and the air is so thin high up...

"This sounds... swell." He sighed.

Knuckles looked over at Razorberry and nodded his dreadlocked head.

"Yo. I'm ready anytime. Just point the way to the badniks, and I'll bust 'em up for ya."

----

((Ahh, so my Eggman is the big baddie for this chapter, eh? WAHOOO!
I'll bring 'em in right away! But first I need to PM you...))

A few minutes later, the doors of the factory opened. Three short figures stepped out. "Okay, you heard the boss," said Silver Sonic, "those creeps down by the ruins know where the Super Emerald is, so we have to follow them silently and let them lead us to it."
"Err, yes," said RoboAntoine, "And 'ow do we know zis again?"
"Plot hole," said Silver Sonic grimly but sarcastically. "What did you think that intercepted transmission from one of the Eggmen's spybots meant? Now, let's get a move-on!" he said, leaping off the cliff. Metal Knuckles followed and RoboAntoine used the stairs.

(( I never said which Eggman... because I don't know... wooooo.... All yours, GS. ^_^ ))

Cosmo grinned and nodded "I cant wait! But do you think we all can do it? Alot is on the line." The small flower then noticed the entrance of another creature;Razorberry. "Wha-what's that?" She asked Tails.

Amy looked around hoping to find Sonic still there. When Athair was there Sonic had been present of course, he was the hero afterall

"My hero" she stated dreamily.

(( CPoC, sure, there are 7, but we only need what I'm calling 'the main three': hyoo-ee, dyoo-ee, and loo-ee- red, blue, and green, respectively. ;) Also- heh, heh, guess I wasn't clear enough- when they awoke from the dream they were already at the ruins. ^_^; And Pexxus himself was part of the 10. Err, might wanna read through the intro again. ^_^;;; ))

"Um, I dunno, Cosmo," said Tails, looking at the creature. Noticing them, he walked over. "Hello. My name is Razorberry, and I'm your guide of sorts. Are you warriors ready to go?" he said friendly-ly. Warriors! Wow! thought Tails. "Oh boy! We sure are!" He leapt off into the air and started hovering.

"Good," said Razorberry.

A small while away, where the ruins were invisible to the eye through the leaves and trees, a blue fusion of a hedgehog/cat was taking a peaceful walk. Nite has been dropped off here by mistake. He said he wanted to go to the beach and relax, and Solar told him that there was a [place he really liked and that Nite would like more. So Nite decided to check it out, and ended up in his favorite type of place: the calm of the forest.

He had a lot of time to think. He remembered the trouble he got into lately... The adventures with Sonic and his pals, the money... Well, the money was no longer so important, he thought to himself. Now that he really had time to analyze his own part in this, it was no longer for the money... But for what... Friendship? Kinship? Whatever it was, it was good.

Nite looked around and sighed. This was his kind of place. He sat down underneath a tree, and leaned his back against it, looking up through the thick branches into the sky. It was great to be in this kind of place, with peace all around you, making you feel safe for a single moment of your lifetime.

Nite closed his eyes and reveled in the moment, until he heard some sort of unnatural rustling. It was not the wind, for there was no wind. And it was something quite large in size, and coming closer. Nite edged around the tree trunk he was underneath, and hid behind it, just as the noise came closer...

(Well, BR, initiate plan "Big Bang")

(( Indeed! ^_^ ))

"Prepair for your duu-em, fuel!" yelled a voice, leaping from the undergrowth. RoboAntoine looked around. "Eh? I could 'ave sworn zere was someone 'ere a minute ago..."
"Moron!" came another voice, rushing into the clearing. It was Silver Sonic, and he smacked RoboAntoine upside the head. "We're on a stealth mission. We can't give away our location, so stop shouting!!"
RoboAntoine continued to look around. "But zere was someone 'ere, no?"
Silver Sonic blinked, and his eyes turned red. He looked around until he saw the tree trunk, and the person hidden behind it, through special lenses. "Great job, 'twan. Now we have someone wise to us." He blinked again and the red disappeared, then called into the bushes, "Hey, EmKay, we got ourselves a spy! Take care of him!"
Wordlessly, Metal Knuckles stampeded through the undergrowth and gave the tree's base a huge punch with his gigantic knuckles, snapping the tree in half with a roar.

A good way away, the hovering Tails saw the tree fall in a clearing near Eggmanland. "Hey, guys, lookit that!" he shouted, pointing.

Nite was ready. As Metal Knuckles made the tree fall over, Nite dodged out of it's path, grinning wildly.

"Ooooh, toys to play with. I hope your nuts and bolts are screwed in tight, 'cause you just picked a fight with the wrong guy."

Nite then sent his mind down a mental twist he learned while adventuring for the Infinity Emerald, thus becoming automatically concentrated and capable of using mental powers while actually paying attention to the bettlefield itself. His eyes started to glow, their ususal, sky-blue color as he put his hands together, creating a powerful gust of psychically-enhanced wind, sending it straight at the trio that now faced him.

He then hovered above the ground a bit, as he readied his next attack.

"Now, let's see how tough metal REALLY is."

Silver Sonic dodged the wind and leapt up at Nite in a buzzsaw ball, but the other two weren't quick enough. RoboAntoine smashed into a tree, the force of his metal body sending it crashing down as well, but the rock-steady Metal Knuckles was unfazed by the wind- though he did lean back just a tad.

"Okay, guys, another tree just fell," said Tails, hovering above the ruins a little way away from the fight. "It seems to be close to Eggmanland. Think he's up to something?"
Razorberry considered. "Maybe. In any case, Eggman's fortifications around Mt. Neverest mean we have to go through Eggmanland to reach our goal. So let's go!" He walked into the forest toward the fight, and Tails swooped down to Cosmo. "Care for a lift?" he asked, offering his floating hand.

"Gach!!!"

A large crash followed that statement, as the buzzsaw ball hit Nite head-on, bashing him straight up, making him fly over the treetops. He shook his head, clearing all the headache that might have come on, and concentrated again.

"Dang, I'm gonna feel that one for the next week... These guys are tough. Dammit, Solar, where are you when I need you!"

And Nite fired another blast, this one looking more like a forked lightning, heading for anything that is metallic. Charging the lightning with even more negatice energy in mid-flight, Nite made sure to have the 3 robots he was fighting as the positive opposite of the psychic blast, making the lightning even more potentially deadly. Even though it would not produce as much of a frying effect as a real lightning would, it would be quite a shocker still.

Nite lowered below the treetops, continuing to expand energy in a continuous lightning bolt. He could not hold it for long though, and once he got down about halfway, he had to drop the act. A headache was coming on due to power overuse, and that was never a good thing.

"We're in trouble already? Geez... I kind of had hoped to last a little while without some big fight." Knuckles sighed, shook his head, and looked in the direction of the fallen trees. Well, they were in Eggmanland, so in all likely-hood, they'd be in for several fights.

"Let's get goin'." He charged off in the direction of the fighting.

Meanwhile, inside a heavily fortificated, egg-shaped fortress, sat Dr. Eggman. Scourge of the entire world. From the shiny tip of his bald head, down to his large red nose which extended a bushy orange mustache, Dr. Eggman was as mean as he was unattractive. (Perhaps that wasn't just a concidence, no?)

Eggman had just woken up. He'd pulled an all nighter in the lab after a Coconut went crazy and started thowing bombs everywhere. Eggman had to rebuild half of his lab, and he was cranky as could be. However, now he was sitting down for his morning coffee and a check of his spy satellite network.

As soon as Eggman's spy cameras turned on to a certain location, though, he noticed something that made him spit scolding coffee all over his lap.

"SONIC! IN MY DOMAIN!?" He shouted, looking at the video feed. Yes. Sonic the Hedgehog was here! As was that annoying Amy, the terrible Tails and the rest of his usual crew. Echidnas, Hedgehogs, and ... a shark? Well, that was something new, but it didn't matter.

"What are you doing in my land Sonic? . . . . " Eggman thought about this. Then it hit him. THE SUPER EMERALD! The one in the mountains. "OH NO YOU DON'T HEDGEHOG!"

Eggman quickly ran to his lab to prepare something evil for Sonic.

Back at the temple, Fin knew about Nite and the Robotic-Baddies. How did he know? Because Sharks have a sixth sense that other animals do not. They can detect up to one billionth of a volt of elecrtricty as generated by the livings things and machines, using tiny cells around their mouths. Because of his super sensitive ability to detect electrical fields, he picked up on Nite and the Robots, and because Sharks also have extreme hearing and sight, he was better informed about the fight raging nearby than the others. (-_-' I was watchin' animal planet, so sue me!)

Fin quickly turned to the group. "There's some living thing being attacked by robots!" He announced. He could not tell who Nite was, or what he was, just from his sixth sense, but he could tell from the amount of electrity that Nite was alive and his attackers were robotic. "Probably Eggman's bunch." He added bitterly.

"Arrrrgh!" screamed Silver Sonic. He was cringing from the electricity, writhing on the ground where he had been slammed in mid-air by the lightning. RoboAntoine, too, was in pain, though he was even more expressive about it.
Metal Knuckles, however, was made from stronger stock. Grounding himself, he took the shock, and after a minute or so of the painful electricity blowing his circuits, managed to reverse the electricity flow back into Nite.

"Oh cra-" BZZZZZZZZZZZAP.

That was exactly what had happened. Nite never thought that the electrical flow of a lightning bolt could be reversed, but once again, technology has proven him wrong. The lightning bolt that has been reversed came as a backlash to his own mind, flinging him into complete and absolute stupor. He couldn't get a single thought coherently, and as such, lost control of his own power which was already active.

And once a psychic loses control, things tend to get REAL ugly. Nite started twitching in mid-air, where he was hovering, and his entire body started to go through major convulsiong as the power he held tried to escape, the control completely lost. Psychic energy literally buzzed around the body of the cat-hedgehog (cathog!!!), creating a sort of an impenetrable field of energy.

(Now's your chance to finally beat Nite into a pulp, BR. The shield only protects from energy attacks. Bash him with fists, and you can turn him into quite a mess. Can you say Nite-ball?)

Shadow had heard the noise and went to check it out a long time ago. Shadow saw Nite doing a crazy dance in midair."Hey Nite when did you learn to dance?" Watching Nite dance Shadow sat down just staring up watching. Unknown of the threat surrounding him.

(dont worry buddy you wont get thrashed all by yourself.)

Knuckles arrived at the scene of the battle and he sighed. Metal Knuckles was here. Well, that made his day suck even worse than before. That robotic-ripoff always got on his nerves, and so Knuckles ran forward and drove his fist into the small of his conterfiet copy's back.

"You alright Nite?" He asked, spotting the cathog from the corner of his eye. He hadn't noticed just what was happening to Nite, and when he did turn his head he and realized Nite was anything but alright, he winced. "Hang on man, we'll help you... somehow." Knuckles didn't know how, and he also didn't know turning his back on Metal Knuckles, which he had just done, was a bad idea.

Metal Knuckles didn't budge a bit when hit. He turned around slowly, raising his fist towards Knuckles.... aaaaaany minute now.... yep.

Meanwhile, Silver Sonic finally recovered. "Grrr... you creep! Prepare for smackdownage!" He leapt up, and bouncing off Shadow's head as a lift-off, buzzed straight into the cathog. (( Cathog! XD! ))

Shadow had been watching the cathog dance when his face was piled in the ground.''Whatthe?" Seeing SilverSonic crash into Nite Shadow jumped up and with most of his might tomahawked the Sonic copy into the ground. "You ok Nite?"

(Gwaaa sorry I missed so much again.... arg)

Cosmo smiled up to Tails and took his hand "thankyou" she said allowing him to pull her up. "So does this count as an adventure?" she asked looking out to the battle allready commensed.

(Gosh...I really have nothing to say yet ^^; sorry)

(( Hmm... well, you still have a character to introduce, I daresay. ;) In any case, the fight's about to begin. ^_^ ))

"Sure does!" said Tails, picking her up and flying over towards the battle scene.
Meanwhile, Silver Sonic had used Shadow's momentum to plough Nite into the ground even harder, taking him down with him. Still charred and fizzling from the electricity, Silver Sonic zapped Shadow with a bolt of electricity.

Meanwhile, Metal Knuckles had finally completed his powerup. Lumbering foward and gaining momentum, he slammed his gigantic metal fist into the back of Knuckles' head with a slam.

Knuckles felt something hard hit the back of his head, and then he went flying forward into the dirt, facefirst. He muttered, shook his head, and turned to see Metal Knuckles. He knew he never should have taken his eyes off the robot copy of himself. Knuckles quickly jumped to his feet and let out a low growl.

"That does it buddy, you're toast!"

Knuckles punched his way through a nearby tree trunk, causing the tree to fall on a collison course with Metal Knuckles. Knuckles waited to see if it would be fast enough to hit him.

Fin arrived on the scene, out of breathe. He hated this dry land stuff, but he couldn't think about that now. Fin noticed Silver Sonic nearby, and he could feel the electrity building up in his body. Fin, however, did not know how he could fight him. If he used his razor-sharp teeth on Silver Sonic, he could stop the robot; but he'd be shocked by the electric charge in him. Sighing, Fin began thinking of some kind of idea to stop him, hoping he would come up with something.

((Sorry, BR! >.< Okay, I got rid of my old post... ummm... I'm editing it here and... let's ignore any plotholes that may come from Sonic not doing anything for such a long time...))

Sonic nodded to Tails when he got excited about a new adventure. Sonic, however, was still a bit sleepy, and decided to take a nap in the foresty land of the Mushroom Hill Zone, located on Angel Island just outside the location they were just at. Sonic had slept for quite a while, until his ears picked up on the faint noises of all the commotion being caused by Silver Sonic and Roboknuckles.

"Wha... huh? Hmmm... sounds like Eggbelly might be up to something." He yawned and rubbed his eyes. "And it was such a nice nap, too... well, better go stop him, as usual. And then MAYBE I'll do that Super Emerald thing, if I get bored."

With that, Sonic kneeled down, put his fingertips on the ground while having one knee on the floor and his other foot stretched all the way back. His other hand was in a fist and positioned in the air by his side. In what seemed like a blinking of an eye, he was curled up into a ball, and spinning in position. He revved himself up more and more until finally he zoomed forward, leaving a dirt path through all the grass and mushrooms. If not for the path he left, one would assume he simply vanished.

Moments later, he arrived dead center where Knuckles and the others were battling his robotic double, along with one of Sonic's several robotic doubles.

"No need to worry, guys, the star has arrived. Lemme show you that the original is always the best!"

Sonic curled up into a ball and hit Silver Sonic in the stomache. Sonic recoiled, and got shocked a bit. "Wha... what the heck was THAT?! A new feature?"

((So, BR, does that mean that Pexxus and friends are also here in this location? And in the same time?))

(heheh I have quite a few characters to get in here ^.^; )

"Sonikku!!!! You're here!!!" Amy exclaimed rusihing to the blue blur and hugging him tightly. "Where have you been?!" The pink hedgehog looked at Silver Sonic "He's weird, certain things dont affect him"

Cosmo looked on the the battle still holding onto Tails' arms.

Meanwhile....


"Mother!!! Where are you?!?" A beautiful girl (er...flower) walked through the halls checking every door for her mom. "Mother! We need you!"

"What are you doing Lilly??" Another much larger girl appeared through one of the doors yawning loudly. The girl was obviously annoyed. "I was trying to sleep"

"No time for that Chrissa, where is mother?"

"No clue... Why do you need her?"

Instead of giving an answer Lilly continued on looking in the next few doors. A few minutes later two other girls appeared holding odd looking dolls and looking confused.

"What are you doing sister? Who are you yelling for" The youngest called out

"Im looking for mother Violet."

"What do you need her for?" The other slightly older girl known as Rose asked. Her orange eyes showed confusion.

"I have been informed that there has been a disturbance on Earth, something involving the Super Emeralds" Lilly explained "I need to allert mother.

"Why would she care?" Violet asked

"I dont know who is disturbing them but i'm sensing something powerfull, not to mention she's there"

An older woman (again err..flower) Sat in her chambers glancing through some important records. Hertia yawned boredly, this part of her job as queen was never fun, but since Dark Oak's last attack she had to raise security all around.

Opening another record Hertia remebered the last battle with the Mettrex, the battle that ended because of Sonic and his friends. And of course who could forget her youngest daughter Cosmo.

"I wonder what you are up to daughter... I pray that the creatures are taking care of you"

"MOTHER!!"

Hertia turned supprised by the sudden yell followed by the slam of her door. There stood Lily her oldest daughter looking tired.

"What is it my daughter?"

Lilly bowed showing her respect and then ran to her mom. "Mother! The super Emeralds are on Earth!"

"What?"

"They are there, and they have been disturbed! Do you think that it is the Metrarex?" Lilly asked. Hertia thought about it for a moment.

"I supose it would be good to check, I dont want to risk another attack here or anywhere." The older woman walked to her daughter. "Please prepare a ship and please tell your sisters that you and I are leaving."

"You and I?" Lilly repeated "What about Chrissa, Rose, and Violet?"

"They are too young.."

(Gosh...that was alot.....hehehe sorry it was so confusing Go to Sign ups and I'll explain)

(( No prob, CPoC. ^_^ Since it is reasonable for Sonic to be able to run/jump to and fro Angel Island, assuming it happened to be floating nearby, that traveling is acceptable... but for the record, this does not occur on Angel Island. It occurs inbetween the ruins and Eggmanland as on the map. ^_^ I say this because later chapters will occur specifically on Angel Island. ))
(( Your choice. He could've pulled Pexxus from the future, or Pexxus could've been in the present on a scouting mission; in any case, since future travelers have been here in IE, they're a lot more beleivable. ^_^ ))

Metal Knuckles watched as the tree fell towards him. He watched as it hit him straight in the face. There was a silent moment as metal snout and falling tree struggled, but then, with a great KRRRAK the tree snapped in half. The result was that Metal Knuckles was now standing in a small indentation in the ground, and he had a slightly bent snout.
He smashed his knuckles into the tree trunk half before him and hefted it up into the air with a great effort, then tried to bring it down with great force onto Knuckles' head.

Meanwhile, Silver Sonic skidded back as Sonic did. "Rrrrgh!" he growled as Tails and Cosmo landed here as well. "So much for stealth, RoboWimp!" he called to RoboAntoine, now hiding behind the half-a-tree that Metal Knuckles wasn't trying to smash Knuckles with. Silver Sonic leapt forward, and tried to buzz into Sonic.

Sonic dusted himself off and sweatdropped a little from Amy's hug. "Okay, Amy, don't get too excited... so what doesn't affect him? Is he different from last time I faced him?" He punched his fist into his palm.

He then called out, "Hey, bucket brains! That electric thing is cheap! Why don't you fight me like a REAL hedgehog!" He pointed at Silver Sonic while having his other hand in a fist, pulled back a bit, by the side of his stomache.

((I'm gonna have to think about how to bring in Pexxus... but... I'll definitely try and do it soon... x.x))

Amy laughed embarsedly "hehe actually I dunno what effects him but he seems really really strong! But I know you can beat him Sonikku!!!" Amy cheered on happily letting Sonic have a go at the imatation.

"WHAT?!? We're not coming along?!?" Rose yelled tossing her doll down beside her feet. "Thats not fair!"

"Its not my desision, mother says you guys are too young." Lily responded simply.

"Im only a few months younger than you!" Chrissa muttered "I wanna help"

"Me too!! Me too!!" Violet yelled "Cosmo is gonna help too since shes there so why not let us come?!"

"Sisters quit it!" Lilly yelled above the others "You all cant come, thats final"

Eggman had survalliance posts set up all over Eggmanland. He was constantly watching for anyone around who could be in his land, and as it so happens, one of those posts is very close to where the battle was raging on. Eggman watched, stroking his chin and wondering what he should do. Of course, he had a genius plan.

"Well, why those idiots fight, I'll begin MY search for the Super Emerald. Don't know why Sonic wants it... but he can't have it." Eggman laughed and set off.

((Since Vlad never got to meet the gang in the other RP, I'm going to say he doesn't know Sonic & co yet. He only knows them by reputation.))

Eggman wasn't the only one watching. Far away, on his own private island, Impaler Island, Vlad the Bat was watching too. He was a wealthy private citizen who owned his own island. Vlad collected rare things, and because of it he had built a huge fortune.

The brown bat (I changed his color to better match a vampire bat. XD) looked at the camera network now. He had illegally tapped into Eggman's camera network, so he could beat Eggman's troops to the sight of any rare gems or other valuble things worth adding to his collection. Besides, it beat the hell out of cable TV. It appeared the famous Sonic the Hedgehog was involved in some kind of battle with some robots, far away in Eggmanland. Vlad had heard of Sonic by reputation, but he had never met him before.

"Hmm..." Vlad rubbed his chin. "Eggman's up to no good again. Ah, Sonic doesn't know I'm watching... and if I'm watching, then Eggman is watching too. He's probably in more danger than he knows..."

Vlad shrugged. "Not my business--- hello, what do we have here?" Vlad saw something that caught his eye on the camera.

"Well... now that's interesting. Very interesting. I had no clue Sonic was connected to THEM!"

The THEM he refered to were Rouge the Bat and Nite the Cathog. Vlad had heard of them both by reputation. Nite was a famous mercenary, and Vlad had followed his carrer with interest through the papers. He had often wondered how much it would cost to hire Nite for a job. And Rouge. Well hell, she was a bat who liked to steal rare gems, he was a bat who liked to aquire rare gems; he'd heard of her. Once she had stolen a gem he planned to buy, and he'd also followed the thief's carrer with interest.

"Well, normally I'd stay out of Eggman's affairs... but this is too juicy to pass up." Vlad grinned and spread his wings and took off out of his castle, on his way to find the group and get involved.

((Squee! BR, thanks so much for puttin' Vlad in this RP. I've always wanted to play him. He's-a cross between Vlad Masters, Dracula and Myotismon... only he's a good guy. XD So much fun. Thanks again.))

Silver Sonic grew impatient. The whole 'stealth' thing wasn't going too well. He pointed at Sonic as his metal body still crackled from Nite's zap. "Listen, hedgehog! I'm going to kick your fleshy behind from here to South Island, and-- and--" He broke off. His arm had fallen off in mid-sentence and fallen to the ground with a CLANG. "Crud. Change of plans!" he called to his teammates. "Get cover in the city while I take these guys!"
He rushed forward, and picking up his arm with his other, backhand-slapped Sonic across the face. (( Like Dr. Light to Megaman in VGCats!! XD )) RoboAntoine ran toward the nearby city, ducking through the forest toward the tall wall, but Metal Knuckles continued to try to smash Knuckles with the tree trunk, smashing it up and down repeatedly.

Knuckles had had better days. He was being smashed with a tree trunk, and slowly losing conciousness.

Then Fin jumped forward and grabbed the tree with his mouth. Fin had three things that made him an asset. His ability to sense electrical currents, his swimming speed, and his jaw strength. His jaws were strong enough to crush metal, and in this case all they needed to crush was wood. He bit the tree trunk in half, saving Knuckles fromany further blows.

"Come and get it, bub." Fin growled, barring his teeth.

"Thanks." Knuckles breathed as he rubbed his head. He spotted RobotAntoine running, and he picked up a rock and hurled it at him using his superior strength.

(Wow. A party started XD)

Hearing a bunch of crashing and thrashing, Rouge knew something was going on. She flew up and ahead to the source of the noise. The first person she spotted was Fin. Not someone she exactly knew, but there definitely was something going on. She landed not too far from them behind a few bushes and trees to see everything going on without being spotted.

She noticed Nite and Knuckles, who was almost out cold. And three (was it three?) enemies.

"This looks interesting." She said, keeping herself hidden, hopeful not to get spotted.

(What a lame way to bring her in XD Sorry if I royally screwed something up.)

Metal Knuckles began the loooong windup for a powerful punch again, but Silver Sonic, now following RoboAntoine into the forest, cried out to him. "No, Emkay! You know the purpose of this mission! We have to cut our losses and get out now! Now c'mon!"

Clutching his arm in his teeth and picking up RoboAntoine (complete with a new hole in his head) with his silver leftover arm, he ran to the edge of the city wall. Metal Knuckles punched the ground heavily, sending out shockwaves to buy them time, and lumbered forward heavily, gaining momentum and bashing through the city wall. Just before disappearing into the depths of Final Egg Zone, Silver Sonic called out, "We'll meet again soon, freaks! 'Till then, I'm sure Eggmanland should be more than you can handle!" And they faded into the distance.

Meanwhile, just over the stratosphere, a small spherical space station orbiting Mobius blinked into life for the first time in a long time. "A-SAT UNIT BACK ON-LINE--", it said, "--AND COMMENCING SYSTEM LOCATION OF TARGET. .... TARGET ACQUIRED-- SYSTEM LOCKED-- AND BEGINNING ACTIVATION--"

"--NOW."

After Shadow had been shocked he stayed behind to help Nite.Well after all Nite and that pink hedgehog were his only friends. "This looks bad." Nite wasnt moving much. Shadow started to shake him over and over.

"Sonic I'll help!!!" Amy yelled summoning her piko piko hammer like many times before.

"We cant let them leave us!"

"Its totally not fair!"

"Why does Lily get to go?!?!"

The three sisters sat in the commonroom of their palace conversing about the previous events, just minutes ago their mother and Lily left to Earth in search for the super Emerald. None of the girls where happy about being left so they were trying to think of someway to help, so far they had only accomplished complaining about the situation.

"Maybe if you werent so lazy Chrissa they would have taken us..." Rose muttered, Chrissa glared at her sister

"Shut up! Its not my fault!"

"Maybe it is!" Violet yelled "Or maybe it's Rose being so annoying!"

"Annoying?!? Who are you calli-

"CALM YOURSELVES!!" Chrissa yelled above the two. "Please we need to work this out!" All three girls sat in silence thinking.

"Perhaps we could check on them" Violet wispered sadly Rose looked at her sister and hugged her.

"They'll be okay...but what if something actually happens Chrissa? What about mother, Lilly, and Cosmo?"

"Dont worry, we wont have to worry much longer" Chrissa grinned "We're going after them!"

Eggman was well on his way to the mountains to find the Super Emerald, but he had not forgotten about Sonic and his friends. Not far from where the group was staying, Eggman had several traps waiting for them. A horde of badniks were hiding in the brush, just ahead of Sonic's group, waiting for a chance to strike and destroy them.

((Anyone can control the badniks; I figure I'd set them up, and when we need more action they can attack the group... so if it's ok with BR da boss, anybody can bring them in and attack the group whenever.))

Back at the group, Knuckles was rubbing his sore head. He had been beaten by a tree trunk, and was injured quite a bit. He stumbled around, looking for a place to sit down. He almost looked drunk the way he walked. He took a step backwards as he blinked some blood out of his eye, and tripped on a low tree root. He wound up falling into some nearby bushes and bumping into someone who had been spying from the said bushes.

"Sorry Rouge." He muttered as he shook his head. Then he paused. "Rouge? What are you doing here!?" He asked, recognizing the bat in an instant.

((BR has given me a new character. The single greatest, coolest, most beloved Sonic character of all. [/sarcasm] Just for the record, this guy is joining the RP only to cause problems for everyone... and I have no clue how he really behaves, since I haven't see the show he was in in quite a long time, so I'm just making him annoying. XD With that said, please welcome the new star [/sarcasm]...))

"Je ne peux pas croire ceci!" Cried Antoine as he fumed about. This was going too far. Eggman had some evil plans before, but this had been his evilest, foulest plan of all time. This time, the "Great" Antoine, would make him pay.

Eggman had broken into knothole and stolen his toupee! Or at least, that was Antoine's theory. In reality the toupee was under his bed, but he did not know that. Antoine had set out earlier that day to track down Eggman and find his toupee, but on his adventure he had so far not found Eggman; he had run into a group ahead of him, though. He saw some trees fall in the distance.

"Ho ho! You thought you could outrun ze Great Antoine? Fool! You have no chance!" Antoine drew his sword and charged forward towards the trees, but his face fell as he arrived.

"Oh." He said, noticing Sonic and the gang. "Itz only you." He eyed nearby where Shadow was shaking Nite. "What ze 'ell... You have weird friends."

"Whoah," said Tails, looking in through the hole in the wall at the Final Egg Zone, part of Eggmanland. "This looks like a pretty tough area," he said quiveringly.

"I know," said Razorberry, coming up behind him, "but through here is the only way to Mt. Neverest. Well, come on, everybody," he called, waving at everybody to come in. "Haven't got all day," he grinned jokingly, yet somehow, underneath the smile, a glint of something shone through, something a lot less than nice.

But a split-second and a double-take later it was gone. He looked around. "Let's see... Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Nite, Shadow, Rouge, Amy, Cosmo, Fin, and Antoine. That's ten. Let's move out!" He said, missing the fact that Pexxus and Jade, the other two who had been teleported to the ruins, were missing- perhaps returned to where they had come...

Meanwhile, the badniks prepared to attack and trap the heroes in Eggmanland, on to their turf...
