Title: Reaper Academy (Discussion)
Description: ..or maybe Shinigami Acedemy.
Clown Prince of Crime - September 3, 2008 11:37 AM (GMT)
This is the info thread used for discussion and added information. If you would like to sign-up for the RP, go
here.
Would you guys be interested in a heavily OC based RP that involves going to high school in the Otherworld and occasionally fighting evil spirits, demons, and what-have-you?
Well, a long time ago, DP made a Bleach RP that I kinda enjoyed, but for some reason it didn't do too well. I'm not entirely sure of the specifics... you'd have to ask DP about it, as I think it was mostly something on his end. But I always liked the concept, so I'm thinking of doing a similar RP, only it'd be centered around OCs rather than established characters.
There is no set universe that this RP would take place in, however I was thinking that we could combine aspects of different series (mostly, aspects of Bleach, Soul Eater, and YuYu Hakusho, but not limited to just those). The setting would take place in the afterlife, but occasionally the characters might make trips to the world of the living.
Although I prefer this to be more of an OC-centric RP, I don't mind if you bring in a character from something else and "port" them into this world. HOWEVER, I think we should limit it a bit. What I was thinking was this: For every established character you want to bring in, you have to have two OCs. I think this rule might discourage signing up as too many established characters.
There's exceptions to the rule I just posted. The rule only applies starting with your second ported character. So you can still sign-up as one ported character without signing up any other OCs. However, you will need to sign up two OCs for every ported character after that. Also, all teacher characters are exempt from this rule.
This thread isn't a sign-ups
just yet, but I'd like to see how many people would be interested in an RP like this. I probably won't get too many people, but I don't mind having a nice slow-pace RP (since in recent times I've actually become a very slow RPer... who gets lost a lot).
Also, since we aren't signing up just yet, feel free to toss in any ideas for this RP. We can make this into a group created RP rather than just one that I've come up with.

YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES -- A MILLION TIMES YES AND ONE BIG
MEGA YES!
Oh My God! Spoony, you... this is so great! :o
I've been wanting to do a supernatural-y, ghost-ish, funky-paranormal stuff RP for a long time! :D OH MAN! THIS IS SO COOL!
Duuuuuuuuude, I am SO in. I'll do whatever is needed to help this thing underway!
I'd throw in my ideas at this part, but... well, I don't really have any. XD That's how come I never tried anything like this. But I'll try to think of some!
Clown Prince of Crime - September 3, 2008 11:53 AM (GMT)
I have a good chunk of ideas for this RP and I've been meaning to do something like this for a looooooong time. It's quite interesting, actually. A long time ago I wanted to make an RP that was kinda just based on going to High School, but everyone had superpowers. I never did it, though... but then one day BR made an RP having to do with real life and going to High School. It shared a few things with my idea, but there was nothing supernatural about it. Then later DP made that Bleach RP and it kinda started off like this idea I had, but then I had to go away for a while and when I came back the RP was dead. ^_^; Again, not sure what happened there, but I remember that it had something to do with DP's end? But, ya, the little bit of time I spent in that RP was something I enjoyed. So now I'm kinda just combining the idea I had with the "in-thing" of current manga/anime: Death Gods. :p
Before going any further with this, what I wanted to do was come up with settings, locations, and stuff like that. I was also toying with the idea of having "grown-up" versions of established characters from Shinigami-based manga being teachers at this school (haha, I'm totally ripping off Tiny Toons), but... I dunno, yet. That much is still up in the air and I'd like you guys to tell me whether you'd want that or not.
GoldenSama - September 3, 2008 12:05 PM (GMT)
I love the idea of "grown-up" versions! Tiny Toons rocked. XD And that could provide some comedy during the "in-class" moments and whatever.
For a setting... I suppose it could be in some custom-made dimension; like in Bleach or Yu Yu Hakusho, they both have a Netherworld-Type deal. Something sort of like Bleach... there's a Human World, A Spirit World and then some kind of Demon World or Evil World or something to add conflict.
Or we could have it based in like, the real world, and this is all in secret behind the scenes and stuff. Like Hellsing or Harry Potter.
Or we could create our own universe where, like, there just are super natural stuff and demons and ghosts and everything and it's not considered weird at all. And going to Shinigami High is, like, normal. XD
As for locations... hmm... The School (because I love stating the obvious!) and maybe some kind of super natural mall? 'cause super natural students need a place to hang out. XD Plus I want to go to a super natural video game store. THAT WOULD ROCK!
Erm... what else... maybe some kind of place where the evil spirits and such frequent? Like, if they're in this special high school and part of what they learn is to fight evil spirits and stuff, they need a place to actually do it.
Some dangerous world and the students can only go to certain zones of it based on their skill level? But, of course, some trouble making idiot goes to a zone he isn't supposed to go to and it causes problems or what have you.
OH! Maybe for 'bad guys', or at least one section of conflict in this, there can be a rival school. One that also teaches its students to hunt evil spirits and demons and stuff, but they do it by using demonic arts. (Fight Fire with Fire, ya?) and the two schools are rivals because the main school doesn't allow the teaching of dark arts?
That could be fuuuuuuun. We could have interaction from the rival school and it causes problems.
I'll keep thinking of ideas! ^____^
Clown Prince of Crime - September 3, 2008 12:14 PM (GMT)
Oooh. I like the idea of rival schools united by fate! Good thinking, GS!
There's so much potential for this RP and the more I think about it, the more I start thinking that this RP might have a nice long life. If there's one thing I'm looking forward to the most, it's building up the personalities of OCs. :) And having rivalry and stuff like that sounds like some good character buildin'.
GoldenSama - September 3, 2008 12:32 PM (GMT)
Rivalry is great for character building! ^___^
I too see that potential, and I hope this will survive for many, many a month to come! Heck, there's so much that could be possible in this! :D
AGodofIrony - September 3, 2008 05:18 PM (GMT)
:o
This...sounds awesome.
I have a whole host of OCs I can bring forth, depending on the exact situations. I know at least one who will definitely make it.
As for like, the powers, I have a question. Will the students be dead, alive, or what not? And do they have to have powers? I have one character in particular who might work, but he's an ordinary guy (though he's accompanied by someone/something that helps him, I guess.)
I guess I'm just slightly more partial to the 'superhero' like deal, but I see no reason why the powers aren't used to help stop demons and all that.

That RP died because it's creator lost interest in making/running it a few days after contacting the people he thought were possibly on the fence for it, but he continued to make it anyway 'cause he thought he had an obligation to the people he originally contacted about it. So it was essentially dead before it even started, even though it did actually start. If you think about it, that could be considered kind-of ironic, actually. :heh:
Kimiko - September 3, 2008 10:24 PM (GMT)
8D Yes! This would be great.
I don't have much more to say, but, um, YES, I would so join this. So, yea, that's it.
YES.
Crystal Rose - September 4, 2008 05:41 AM (GMT)
An (almost) all OC RP?! Sign me up! Sounds fun and gives me an excuse to make some new OCs!
GoldenSama - September 4, 2008 08:44 AM (GMT)
:o If I'd known that you'd lost interest, DP, I totally would have offered to take over story-driving duties. I had some good ideas, too. Renji was going to become an Arrancar and go after Ichigo, but it would become this dramatic, tortured-soul conflict thing... O-WELLZ. :D It's all good.
I want to create a few OC's who are awesome. I really fell in love with Musashi and Nanami from TNT, so I'd like to make a couple new OC's who are awesome that I can love. =3

I suppose not everyone has to have powers, so long as they're capable of doing their duties. :p
And it's kinda hard to answer the "dead or alive" question. Technically, I guess you could call them dead, but they're not really humans. They just happen to look like them... or not (what your OC looks like is entirely up to you). I was thinking of maybe having different races.
Well, it looks like I have enough responses to get this thing underway. I'll likely make a separate thread for sign-ups, but this thread could still serve useful for conversing about the RP.
Well, I already know what GS thinks, but what do some of the rest of you think about the idea of established characters from other series being teachers at these schools (or at least one of the schools)? I'd like to iron out a few things before getting the sign-ups on their way.
And GS, what kind of stats would you recommend for the sign-ups? I think most characters will end up being students, but I don't think all the characters need to be. Hmmm... perhaps I'm getting ahead of myself here, so we should still try to concentrate on the students first.
GoldenSama - September 4, 2008 10:20 AM (GMT)
I already expressed my support for established teachers. :D
Hmm... Sign Ups... Hmm... What about this?

That kind of stuff, I guess. For class, I kind of mean like "grade" or "year"... but for teacher's, we could just put what class they teach.
I dunno, this probably needs some tweeking.
Clown Prince of Crime - September 4, 2008 10:26 AM (GMT)
Hmmm... actually, I have a few things in mind already, now that I've seen what you came up with for sign-ups, so tweaking will be rather easy.
Ya know, I was thinking that while there's still some stuff that I'd like to go over, we probably have enough to start a sign-ups thread, right? We could sign-up and stuff even while we're still working out other things in this thread. Afterall, signing up doesn't mean the RP has to start right away. Hmmm... I think I'll do that pretty soon.
GoldenSama - September 4, 2008 10:57 AM (GMT)
Sounds good to me! ^___^
We can work out all the details in this thread and still have a sign ups thread!
Clown Prince of Crime - September 4, 2008 03:29 PM (GMT)
Hmmm... okay, here's some info I've come up with.
As far as the setting goes, it's, as I said, Otherworld. There's a LOT of different areas to Otherworld and I haven't come up with all of them yet, but the place where all the students live and go to school at is an area known as Makai.
Okay, speaking of school, I was thinking that the schools would have different grades than those used in the world of the living. I'm totally stealing this from Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, btw.
Basically, it's not based on age or anything, so much as it's based on skill. I'll come up with drawings of the uniforms later. If you're drawing your character, you can just draw them in casual clothes since I haven't designed the uniforms yet. That's what I'll do for my sign-up pics. Plus, casual clothes are a better way of expressing your character's personality.
Also, the classes are mixed, so characters of different grades will be in the same class together. There are different classes, just like in High Schools of the Earth, so a student will attend three classes a day. A student's grade often reflects a student's age, but such is not always the case.
Red Grade = Rookie Student
Green Grade = Novice Student
Yellow Grade = Veteran Student
Blue Grade = Expert Student
There are also different races. The most common race is Shinigami (of course), but other races include: Oni, Angel, Dead Human (use this one sparingly), and Youkai.
Most Shinigami look like humans (though some are a little creepier looking). This is the race that most characters should, hopefully, be. Shinigami normally have "spell-chanting" powers that allow them to do many different types of attacks (these would be like the Kiddou from Bleach or like the Jutsu from Naruto). They are quite agile and tend to use weapons like scythes, swords, staffs, and other thin "stick-like" objects.
Just like Shinigami, most Oni look just like humans, however a defining feature of Oni is that they have fangs in their mouths and horns on their heads (how big the horns on your character are is up to you). Although a lot of them have an affinity for animal skins, not all of them necessarily wear them all the time. Oni can sometimes come in skin colors such as red and blue, but there are also a lot of "human" skinned oni, as well. Some Oni have the power of flight, but this is a rare trait. All Oni have one elemental superpower (similar to "such-and-such" bending from Avatar, I guess). The weapon of choice for an Oni is a big, neanderthal-like club. The clubs that they use can vary in size, shape, and material.
Angels resemble humans, but with wings. Most angels have only two wings, but there are some that have more (the more wings an angel has, the more power he/she possesses... however, it should be noted that an increase in the amount of wings an angel has adds a LOT of power, so try to avoid having more than two wings unless your character is an adult). All angels have the power of flight, as well as light-based energy attacks (similar to using Ki). Some angels like using Greco-Roman swords, but most are experienced archers.
Dead humans are... exactly as they sound. A human who is no longer part of the world of the living. Usually, when a human dies, they either go to Heaven or Hell. However, in rare cases, if a human lived his/her life on Earth as an exceptional hero, he/she will be given the choice of either going to Heaven or Makai. It's very rare that a human get the chance to enter Makai, though. Humans have no superpowers at all. They're exactly like you or me. Any weapons or tech that a human chooses to use is as varied as the personalities/likes of humans.
Youkai are also a rare breed in Makai, but only because MOST Youkai are evil. Any Youkai that reside in Makai will be... good. Or at least not evil. All Youkai have very short tempers and tend to like fighting a lot. All Youkai resemble a cross between a human and some sort of animal (the animal your character resembles is up to you). Some Youkai have mysterious dark powers (think Raven from Teen Titans), but most just have powers/abilities befitting of the animal they resemble. Some Youkai wield weapons while others don't. The type of weapon a Youkai wields, if any, will vary.
Okay, that's that for now. The sign-ups thread is open, now, so be sure to go
there.
Crystal Rose - September 4, 2008 09:15 PM (GMT)
Yo Spoony, mine is updated just a little bit. I got the order of grades wrong. Sarai's actually green, not blue.
:D Thankies!
Clown Prince of Crime - September 4, 2008 09:33 PM (GMT)
No problemo. I was kinda wondering about that a little bit, actually. :p
So, anywho... that question about the established characters as teachers is still up. What do you guys think about it? So far only GS has said anything about it. ^_^;
The Vidit of Light - September 5, 2008 04:01 AM (GMT)
Hmm...interesting concept, but I dunno...I may sit this one out...I can be very strict about the RPs I partake in when it comes to...well, need I say it?
However, interesting concept...
AGodofIrony - September 5, 2008 04:20 AM (GMT)
Established characters as teachers? I think that sounds like a good idea.
But do they have to be Bleach characters though?

I'd say they could be any characters you'd want, because this world would be very different from any established series' world.
Oh, and I definitely have to commend CPoC for how thought out that info that was posted at the beginning of this page is. Very nice work.
Clown Prince of Crime - September 5, 2008 09:00 AM (GMT)
Bleach characters can be used, but I never intended them to be the only ones used. So, ya, as DP said, pretty much any character will do as a teacher. I'd like to point out that teachers don't count for that "two OCs for every port". That rule was really only meant for students and other characters, but not for the teachers.
Speaking of which, who should the teachers be? I suggest we start nominating characters to fill up the staff of the school. So, let's get on top of that.
Also, I neglected to do anything regarding the rival school. :heh: I'll probably end up having to name the two schools then make another field in the sign-ups so that we know who attends which school.
Still plenty of stuff to work out. By the way, I finished designing the uniforms. I picked some random characters (okay, they weren't random at all) to model the uniforms:

As you can see, the color of the uniform is different depending on the grade.
AGodofIrony - September 5, 2008 04:38 PM (GMT)
I'd like to nominate Danny Fenton/Phantom as a teacher...Aged up of course, though...If that's possible. :heh:
GoldenSama - September 6, 2008 12:54 AM (GMT)
Hmm... he's not exactly a soul reaper, but I'd like to use
Gamma Akutabi as a teacher. :3
He fits this kind of RP! ... Kinda.
Clown Prince of Crime - September 6, 2008 03:16 AM (GMT)
Those are some pretty good choices. They both seem to fit the RP pretty well.
Off-topic: Was Zombie Powder ever released in the U.S.? I've never been able to find it at any bookstore.
Anywho, let's keep thinking of more staff members for School A. I've decided School B will have original teachers, and School A will have the established characters.
Btw, we also need to think of names for School A and School B.
Also... I think we might need to elaborate more on the subtle differences between the two schools to better understand the rivalry. GS, what you came up with is a good start, but at the same time I don't want to make School B an "evil school", so I think there's some tweaking we should do there.
Crystal Rose - September 6, 2008 03:18 AM (GMT)
Oh I have a question Spoony, probably because I haven't watched the anime that this is inspired from. Will the kids live at school or will they go home every day. Also will we control family members and such if so?

Yeah, there have been a few volumes of Zombie Powder at my local Waldenbooks (which is essentially Borders, I believe, since the reward-card thing I have is a "Borders Card" ), so it is released (there were only a few volumes in the entire series, so if it isn't all released in the US, it will be soon).
Clown Prince of Crime - September 6, 2008 03:36 AM (GMT)
Ah, okay. But I've also heard that Tite Kubo never finished that series. :(

Well, truth be told, this was actually inspired by SEVERAL different series, not one. And even then, I'm changing stuff around. So it really doesn't matter if you watched any of 'em or not, I guess. :heh:
But, at any rate, to answer your question... well, I actually haven't decided yet! :heh: I've been trying to decide between the students living at home or the students living in dorms.
We should probably put that up for a vote.
Kimiko - September 6, 2008 04:02 AM (GMT)
I own all four volumes of Zombie Powder, so it's been released. :D And yea, personal problems interfered with Tite Kubo's career when he was making Zombie Powder, so he had to end it early. I'm kind of glad it was so short. Even though there were a lot of loose ends, I liked ending it with a little mystery. [/off-topicness]
ANYWAY Yea, Gamma does kinda fit in here.
I'd like to nominate Shō Minamimoto and Mitsuki Konishi from "The World Ends with You" (a game that also involves Reapers and the Afterlife) as teachers. I would gladly play them, since I don't know if anyone else here has played the game.
Dark Phazon - September 6, 2008 04:26 AM (GMT)
I'd recommend dorms as where the characters would live, because it can allow for much more interactivity between characters. A couple specific characters could live seperately, if need-be, this way, as well (through the magic of "special permission").
...
I really wish I had "The World Ends with You" (as well as working L & R buttons on my DS)...
GoldenSama - September 6, 2008 04:50 AM (GMT)
Dorms! If everybody goes home, then it limits the interaction when they're not at school. Plus it's easier to organize mischief when everyone is in the same place after class. :3
If I still had a DS, I'd buy "The World Ends With You". As soon as I get a new one I'll probably get it.
Clown Prince of Crime - September 6, 2008 05:27 AM (GMT)
Well, two votes is all I need! Truthfully, I was leaning slightly more towards dorms, anyway. :p
And yes, Kimi, you play those teachers because I don't think many people have played that game. Though that IS a game I wanna play. I love the character designs (very KH-esque).
At some point, when I've decided who all the teachers at School A will be, I'll make a list and then ask that people pick some of them to play as. Teachers won't have to be played all the time, like students. So once class is over, you don't have to follow what the teacher is doing until it's time for that class again. I mean, you can, but you don't have to since the focus of the RP isn't on them.
GoldenSama - September 6, 2008 05:31 AM (GMT)
Dorms opens more doors for more fun possibilities. =3 I signed up as a prankster for a reason. :D
Spoony! I have a few ideas for School A and School B, which I will totally post here as soon as I finish refurbishing them.
One question... is the focus of the RP going to be on one particular school, or are we going to try to split it between the two?
AGodofIrony - September 6, 2008 05:33 AM (GMT)
I like dorms too.
Also, Spoony...Since you briefly mentioned Kingdom Hearts, I have to suggest Axel as a teacher too.
Kimiko - September 6, 2008 05:35 AM (GMT)
Hm... how about I summarize the world of "The World End with You" a little bit (with zero spoilers, of course)? I understand that earlier there was talk about some kind of "Supernatural Mall", which is pretty much the world the characters in TWEWY live in.
In TWEWY, humans live in an area called Shibuya. However, when a human dies, they enter the Reaper's World, where they are given the choice to either die or play The Reaper's Game, in which they live in an alternate Shibuya for 7 days, competing in challenges, in order to win their lives back. If they agree to this, they have to pay an entry fee, which is whatever they value most.
Once in The Reaper's World, Players MUST find a partner and make a pact. Anyone without a partner is erased within a few minutes of entering.
Players are given a Player Pin, which is used to Scan the area for Noise, monsters that inhabit Shibuya and erase Players. Generic Reapers also line the streets, blocking off certain areas until minor challenges are completed.
Behind the scenes are more distinct Reapers of higher power, such as field Reapers who fight Players, The Game Master who creates the challenges (the person in this position changes each week), The Conductor who maintains order, and The Composer, the ultimate creator of Shibuya.
Fashion is an important part of Shibuya. There are tons of stores to buy clothes at, and the right outfit can make you more powerful in certain parts of the city. Shibuya, altogether, is like a giant mall.
Sooooooo if there are any elements of TWEWY we want to include, there they are.
GoldenSama - September 6, 2008 05:40 AM (GMT)
:o That sounds so awesome. Now I have to go buy a new DS!
... I mean, we need to incorporate a Otherworld Mall! SERIOUSLY! I liked that idea before, and then it was only based on my own silly ideas -- now I like it even more. :3
Please Spoony?
GoldenSama - September 6, 2008 10:48 AM (GMT)

My client HAD to double-post! It was for JUSTICE!
No, but seriously... here's that idea I said I had for the two schools plus some ransom questions and stuff.
[...]
So, I was trying to think of some ideas for the “Two schools” and I came up with two different ideas. Dunno if you'll want to use any part of any of these, but I'm throwing them out there for consideration. =3
Idea 1Based off some stuff from Bleach. Both schools are virtually the same: They teach the same kind of stuff, have the same kind of students, the only thing that's different is their philosophy.
“School A” basically trains the students to exterminate dangerous youkai/hollows/spirits/whatever, but does in the way like the Shinigami from Bleach. By that, I mean, they protect the human and other world's from the dangerous types, and then they make those dangerous types move on to either heaven or hell. The Shinigami-and-Hollow relationship that I think most of us are familiar with.
You KNOW what's coming next...
“School B” has a different philosophy. There's is that these dangerous supernatural things shouldn't go to heaven or hell; they should just be destroyed utterly and completely to the point that they no longer exists in any form. Like the Quincy from Bleach.
That idea is just a total photocopy of Bleach, but with all the unique races we've got plus more monsters than just hollows. :D
Idea 2A totally-different idea!
Originally, it was just one school, founded by two people. (Brothers/Sisters? Best Friends? Pick the cliché of your choice!) The purpose of the school was to defend the Other World from the evil creatures and stuff, as well as preserve the natural balance of life and death.
Well, one day the founders had a falling out about the issue of the human world. One of them thought that their duties in the human world needed to be as limited as possible. That they had to maintain the balance of life and death, and only exterminate dangerous supernatural creatures in the human world when they absolutely had to because they were causing a lot of havoc, and that aside from that, the humans had to stand on their own legs.
The other founder felt that they needed to defend the human world the same way they did the Other world. That they had to maintain the balance of life and death, but to also stop the dangerous creatures from ever going there and to keep them from causing ANY trouble at all because the supernatural creatures were usually too powerful for the humans to deal with.
So “Founder A” stayed at the school and made it teach the students to defend the humans always, while “Founder B” started a new school with a policy of only helping the humans when they absolutely have to.
But both schools still maintain the balance of life and death all the time.
[.....]
SO! That's my ideas on the schools. Now for a question!
There's a lot of “Shinigami” incarnations out there. You mentioned Shinigami in this use blade and staff like weapons; my question is can their weapons do releases, like Zanpakuto? Can they transform at all? Is it required? Is it optional? Basically, any info on the weaponry is what I'd like. =3
[....]
Also, I've been trying to think of some possible classes as well, and some of the teachers for them!
Here's some ideas I had.
Since Youkai are rare at the school, given to most of them being evil and even the non-evil one's having attitudes, maybe we should have some kind of "Homeroom" for the Youkai and Hanyou students? Like a class they take that tries to help them fit in, given their demonic nature.
I'd also nominate Inu-Yasha to be the teacher. =3 A grown-up and mature Inu-Yasha would be the perfect guy to relate to youkai and hanyou!
Also, perhaps a class all about Supernatural Items/Weapons/Treasures? It goes over things like the Philosopher's Stone and proper usage of a Death Note and Zanpakuto Basics and stuff like that.
I'd nominate Gamma Akutabi to teach it, 'cause it seems like he'd be up-to-date on all that kind of stuff if he lived in this universe.
Finally, I had the idea for a "Supernatural Creatures Class" -- sort of a class that teaches all about the different races and creatures and whatnot.
If you'll allow a Dead Human to be a teacher, then I'd like to use Fox Mulder as the teacher for this one. XD Nobody knows more about supernatural creatures, hands down! But, if dead humans can't be teachers, then someone else can take this class if A) the idea is liked and 2) they have a teacher for it.
Also, I know I'd have one more port than would be allowed by the two-to-one rule, but I didn't know if that applies to teachers or not and regardless I have a villain to sign up as later. =3

That's all, for now, but I may have more ideas and stuff later.

I thought I already said a mall was fine. :heh: Well, I guess I'll say it again. Sure, we can have a mall. :p
I don't want Makai to consist solely of just the schools, actually. Nor do I want Makai to be the only area of Otherworld to concentrate on. Think of Makai as kind of like... a really big city.
Also, there's two characters in charge of many things regarding Otherworld, but you'd probably rarely ever see them. Thye live in a place that I have yet to name and we likely won't see anytime soon (though if the RP lasts for long enough, we might do something with this). The ruler of Makai and overseer of the vast majority of Otherworld is
Enma Daioh, but most people, if they need to consult with the sovereign of Otherworld, will likely ever only meet up with his son,
Koenma Daioh.
I'm probably getting ahead of myself with all of that, so let's get back to simple ol' Makai. Specifically, the schools. Oh, ya, since School A has a bunch of famous anime/manga characters as teachers, then I nominate
Shinigami from Soul Eater as Principal of the school. We should probably address him as Kouchou (Principal in Japanese) to lessen confusion between him and Shinigami as a race. ^_^;
And though I'd like to make Dead Humans a rarity, I guess we could do Fox Moulder as a teacher. AGoI's picked Danny Fenton as a teacher and he's a human. So, ya, I suppose it's doable. I'm not quite as concerned with what the teachers are as I am with the students. And I really dig your ideas for classes, GS! And you can use Axel as a teacher if ya want, AGoI.
OH, and another thing! The "porting" rule does not apply to teachers. I thought I said that, but maybe I didn't. But, ya, any other character you have to stick by that rule, but with teachers and other Otherworld authority figures, the rule doesn't apply.
As for the schools... both those ideas are good. I really like the Bleach idea, but at the same time the other one sounds more original. So I'm not sure which one I like better. Also... we need names for these schools.
Additionally, I'm not quite sure whether or not all the focus should be on School A or whether we should split the focus up between the schools. I was mostly thinking the former than the latter, but I'll leave that up to vote.
Oh, and as for weapons doing releases... hmmm. Like Bankai, eh? It's totally optional. If you want your weapon to be able to do that, then sure. Your weapons can do pretty much whatever you want them to, so don't let me stand in your way.

O. Maybe I missed that. XD Just like I probably missed the porting rule not applying to teachers. I miss a lot of stuff, I guess. o.o
I like the idea of focusing on just School A and using School B as more of a plot device. That way we need less teachers and we can keep our main characters focused on one another more fluently.
Maybe we could mix those two ideas somehow? I'll think about it when I get back.
Actually, I have a lot more to add to this, but I have to leave right now, so it'll have to wait!

Can't wait to hear your ideas, GS. I'm hoping that we can get this RP started pretty soon. :)
