The Irresponsible Captain Tylor is a comedy anime about the life of a young man named Justy Ueki Tylor, a 20-year-old do-nothing who dreams of having an easy life.

He sees a advertisement for life in the galactic military, which makes it seem like there's no work and lots of pretty girls -- immediately Tylor joins the service. He's got no drive, no passion, no goals and no sense of duty, but through a lucky accident in which he "foils" some terrorists, he becomes Captain of the worst ship in the Galactic fleet.

It's famous for being full of idiots, criminals and slackers -- and now the King of Slackers is their new Commander. It's full of comedy, some action and very strange circumstances.

Tylor is basically a (slightly) less-perverted Ataru who has a really crappy warship under his commander. (The "Soyokaze" -- Gentle Breeze.)

I haven't seen all of the episodes yet, but from what I've seen there is some kind of war going on between the Galactic Military and some alien planet, which it seems the new Empress of plays a critical role.

The series is completely insane, full of comedy and a lot of fun. :D
