Title: The Island
GoldenSama - August 22, 2009 04:08 AM (GMT)
[If you need a refresher on the map and pre-made locations, don't forget the info thread!]The Mystery TowerThe mighty tower stood, odd rings spinning around it. The strange building had no doors and no windows; and it stood behind high walls that were inaccessible. Deep within the hidden tower, there was a low, mechanical hiss. A puff of steam rose through the air, and several large television screen illuminated an otherwise dark room.
"... It begins at last. This should be fun!"
Arctic Zone: Wilderness"... Damn."
Batman had been awake for only a matter of minutes. When he had gone to sleep, he was in the Batcave -- now he was in a mysterious frozen tundra, dressed in his suit and equipped with his weapons.
He had already tried contacting someone with his equipment; nothing worked. There was no means of contacting people from Gotham. Whatever had brought him here, he was stuck on his own.
Narrowing his eyes and not speaking a word, Batman trudged off into the snow.
Forest Zone: Wandering"Kimi? ... Come on, this isn't funny anymore! ... Kiiiiiiiiimi! ... Aw, Potatoes."
With a heavy sigh, the sidekick slumped against a tall tree. When he had woke up in the middle of a forest, he just assumed he had irritated Kimi somehow and she'd gotten revenge by throwing him in a forest.
When she did not appear, and his cell phone got no signal, Wonder Sama realized something far worse was going on.
Then he found the letter.
“Good morning!
Welcome to my island. I have brought you here for a unique opportunity, the likes of which you have never experienced and never shall again. You were chosen, for in the world you have come from, you are someone of great importance. Whether you are a person of principals and valor, or one of lies and deceit; I welcome you all the same.
On this island, you will find three very different lands. In each, there is a fantastic city! In the tundra to the north is The Grand City. In the forest in the middle is The Wise City; and in the desert to the south is The Ruined City. In the middle of the forest, there is another place of interest – my Tower, which is sealed from you.
I challenge you to quest for what you seek! If you wish to return home, surely you can find a way hidden in this world. If you seek power and privilege, there is a way to obtain it. If you desire money or fame, or if you desire the chance to do good or evil; all these things shall you have a chance for.
Whatever you seek, you shall have more than one opportunity to find it. One way, is to find entrance to my Tower – and I shall reward you. That is hardly the only solution to your quest, however. This is not a competition; and yet it is. For while there is more than one way to find what you seek – there is a limit to how many of you will be successful.
From the moment you finish reading this letter, you may do as you please. Conquer these lands and the people within them if you desire; or defend them if you like. Search for what you want, or stay and be content. Live or die; whatever you choose to do, it is now your choice.”"An alternate dimension? Oh yeah, that's original. Damn it, I'm SO getting an agent when this is over." Sama sighed.
Desert Zone: The Ruined CityThe Ruined City is one of three grand cities on The Island. It is ruled by criminals. Scum and villains every one of them. Murder and theft are hobbies there, and any outsiders who are captured are forced to work, digging for water until they collapse from heat stroke.
A tall man in a purple suit and green tie had appeared here. Three giant men, each made of muscles, tattoos and not much else quickly rushed towards him.
"Hmm... this one's pretty freaky." The first said.
"Yeah, he's way too skinny to dig." The second agreed.
"And too scrawny to eat, too." The third sighed.
"... Well, I don't know how I got here or who you are; but this should be fun!" Joker, one of the single most deranged and dangerous men ever to live, gave a trademark grin and pulled several playing cards from under his sleeves.
He threw them; and the razor sharp cards made mince meat of the giant's necks.
"Ha... Ha ha ha ha... Oh this'll be FUN! Hahahahah!"
[Okay! It's started. :3 Pick a location and move your folks in! Can be anywhere, don'tcha know. A place on the map, or a place of your own creation! Just remember to put which zone it's in when you post your location thing so everyone knows!]

6: Murky Swamp
"This is....Disgusting."
A young woman looked around the murky swamp, her nose crinkled slightly and one hand raised slightly. From her hands came a bright red flame, flickering dangerously every now and then. This flame was not for light though...Instead it was her weapon and a sort of....Pet.
"Kale? You here?" She called out, her expression still even as she looked around. She did not travel too far from her spot, but she did look in a few bushes and up at a few trees. Usually Kale hid in stupid places such as these. She groaned and with a flick of the hand the flame she had been holding shot forward and made a strange sort of noise. At further inspection the flame seemed to have an almost life like appearance. Not human like...But life like all the same.
"Go look for Kale in the trees, i'm sure the idiot landed somewhere like that..."
And with that the ghost flame made another strange noise and shot off high into the trees. Rina Whitehall sighed and ran a hand though her bright red hair. The last thing she remembered she had been laying down to sleep, Kale on the floor beside her bed curled up in an oversized blanket. And now....Well she wasn't sure where she was. All she knew was she had woken up with a headache and a very strange letter beside her.
"That loser better not have gone and got himself killed"
Ice Mountains
"Meeeeeellllaaaaannnniiiieeee....Kaaaannnnnnnaaaa......Annnnyyyyooonnnee?"
A young man trudged through the snow, eyes narrowed slightly trying to spot anyone who would know what he was doing here....Or anyone at all. Last thing he remembered he was falling asleep in his bed after a night handing out with (or perstering in her opinion) Rina, Kale, and of course Melanie. Only a few moments ago the boy had woken up and realized he was definitely not in his bed anymore...Or his house....Heck, probably not even his world! All he had to be a guide was a letter he had found next to him....Not a reassuring thought.
"Meeeeelllaaannniiiee" Jason called out again with a groan. He had no clue if his family was here too but if they were he was determined to find them. Unlike Jason who had an almost constant heat source within him (which allowed him to produce light on a whim) if Melanie was out here she would not be so lucky. She was the oposite and harbored a much colder energy within, thus making her colder easier. He really hoped if she was here she ended up somewhere much warmer.
"Well...There isn't much more to do but look...She's probably safe at home anyways..." Jason tried to reason with himself as he continued forward. "Kanna's probably...Fine too...It's just a matter of getting home...And I guess that means find that tower..."
The Oasis
"This is.....Sooooo nice!"
A young woman smiled widely, investigating her surrounding with much intrest. The last thing she remembered she had just lied down to bed after helping her best friend with some research...It had been rather boring and she had been looking forward to a nice long sleep and some nice dreams.
Was this one of them? She looked down at her tan arm and pinched it as hard as she could.
"Ouch!" She exclaimed, now rubbing the spot carefully "Okay....So this isn't a dream then...." She walked forward leaned down to a small body of water and touched it. It felt as real as ever....
"This is really strange....But at the same time...Perfect?" The girl twisted her wrist a small bit and stood back up, along in a perfectly round blob came a huge amount of water. The girl, obviously able to conrol the water placed it in a small pouch attached to her leg.
"Tazzy? Avatar? You guys here too?" Crystal Rose finally called out, deciding to try her luck. With no responce she sighed. But suddenly something caught her eye....A piece of paper on the ground...She bent to pick it up and read it over....
When she had finished she frowned.
"Well...They get no points for originality...Unless there are magical Bunnies somewhere near....But I guess I really have no choice if I want to get home..."
Crystal looked sadly at the Oasis..."Too bad, this would be a perfect vacation spot"

-Central Mountains-
"Well...this is awkward." Sam looked onward, mountains being the only thing visible.
"Nodoka...hey, c'mon. I know you're hungry, but-" The regimental hedgehog rummaged through her bag, taking out an apple.
"...Never mind."
"It's been a while since we've had some alone time, eh Sam? And besides...this whole contest thing should be a little fun, right?" The ebony hedgehog sighed, and turned to his regimental companion.
"We need to find a way out of here...and if this contest's the only way, then so be it. But really..." The ebony hedgehog kicked a pebble idlely, and sighed. "I've had enough of fighting..."
"I, on the other hand, would like a bit more challenge." Chiharu appeared from Sam, the hedgehog grinning as he looked around. His grin quickly turned into a questioned look, the hedgehog raising an eyebrow. "...This is new. You two aren't making out for once." Chiharu remarked, the duo blushing.
"Oh, just can it..." Juuchi came from Nodoka, punching Chiharu in the face. "Don't be like that. And besides, we do so just as often as they do...you'd be hypocritical."
Chiharu rubbed his jaw in pain, and sighed. "Doubt we'll find anyone in these mountains..." He changed the subject, Sam nodding.
"You're right...well, time to rush down. C'mon, Nodoka."
"Right."
The Vidit of Light - August 22, 2009 05:11 AM (GMT)
Ice Mountains
(Hope you don't mind if I put Vidit here, C_R.)
Heat. It was nice.
Vidit had laid down to sleep, and suddenly awoken...to coldness. Such were the conditions of the Ice Mountains
He had read the letter...and gotten rather agitated. Who was the creep who brought him here? His duties...they'd at least notice that he was missing soon enough, and get someone else on his task...but still, who did this jerk think he was? He had to find him.
Maybe do some good while he was here, too.
"I see you're awake, sir." A voice said.
"Cortana?"
"Still in your gear, sir." came the AI's response, playing from his communicator. "If you hold out your glove, I can use its holoprojecters to appear."
Vidit held out the glove, which was somehow on his arm already, and Cortana's hologram appeared.
However, it was full-sized. Vidit was puzzled.
"Cortana?"
"Trying out a new look, sir. I don't like having to look up to everybody all the time. Anyway, I suppose you'll want a report of the situation, but I've already scanned, placed a distress beacon, and more. I can't tell where we are, or what to do, except, I suppose, find this "tower" or otherwise look around. Speaking of which...I've detected a life-form a short distance away."
"What kind of life-form?"
"Vital signs are human...mostly. But there's something there I can't quite put my finger on..."
"I'll check it out. I'm going to be walking."
"Right, sir."
Cortana's hologram disappeared.
Using the flamethrower function from his glove, he kept warm and walked along, clearing a path as needed.
Eventually, he came upon a dark-haired young man, who also seemed like he had no idea where he was.
"Hello!" he called.
GoldenSama - August 22, 2009 05:27 AM (GMT)
Arctic Wilderness
Due to frequent encounters with an ice-themed villain, Batman always carried a spare cape and cowl in his backpack. It was white, unlike his usual black one, and it was thermal insulated for keeping him warm. He had changed into the white cowl and moved forward.
Then there was a beeping on his belt. He pushed a button and a small device came out in his hand. He looked at it -- it was picking up some kind of high-powered technology nearby.
"... From, there?" Batman looked towards some mountains that stood not far away. He knelt down and put the device on the ground, and clicked a button. A small radio dish came out of the small device and started broadcasting.
"Can anyone hear me? Hello?" He hoped that whatever technology he picked up on the mountain would be able to receive his broadcast.
Forest Wandering
Sama had no idea, but he was actually in the southern area of the forest. To his north was a bridge, and to his south the Central Mountains that led to the desert.
"... I have no idea what to do."
Sama gave a sigh. He had a horrible sense of direction. So he began to wander, not knowing where he would end up. He had no idea which direction was north, south, east or west.
The Vidit of Light - August 22, 2009 05:31 AM (GMT)
Ice Mountains
"Sir..." Cortana's voice rang out.
"Yes?" Vidit replied.
"I'm getting a signal...sounds like a radio. Someone else sounds confused. Patching it through:
"Can anyone hear me? Hello?"
"Yes...someone can hear you." Vidit replied into the radio. "Responding. This is...Vidit Light." he said, giving his codename/alias. "To whom am I speaking?"
GoldenSama - August 22, 2009 06:04 AM (GMT)
Arctic Wilderness
Batman paused. A voice responded to him. Someone named Vidit Light replied to him. He had never heard of that person, but it was the only clue he had found so far.
"I'm Batman." He replied in a gruff voice. "Do you have any idea where we are?"
He contemplated finding the Light person. Climbing a mountain was easy, but trusting people; that was difficult.
EvilSpritist - August 22, 2009 06:11 AM (GMT)
Dead Forest
"SCRATCH! GROUNDER! WHERE ARE YOU POOR EXCUSES FOR ROBOTS?" A voice shouted loudly.
No answer...
"Grrr...when I get my hands on those two buffoons..." The voice continued.
Dr. Robotnik had found himself in this odd area, searching around for his old lackeys. Disappointingly, they were no where to be found and the doctor was left alone in the dead forest. The frigid, desolate, dead forest.
"Noooow...to figure out where I am. Hm. What's this?" He mumbled.
Ahead of him was a large structure made of steel that seemed rather icy.
"Hmmmmmmm....just like home. Gooooood..." Robotnik chuckled, walking toward the abandoned lab.
The Ruined City
Another white faced individual had found himself in the city of thieves. Jack Spicer, the self proclaimed evil boy genius, wandered around aimlessly trying to decide where he was and what to do.
He was immediately met by a large muscular man, who chuckled. "Hm, you look young. But that's the best time to start."
He began to attempt to grab Jack, who let out an "Eep," before there was a surprise strike from out of nowhere.
A blur of red and the giant toppled to the ground. The attacker was a waddle doo, not that Jack knew...he was wearing a straw hat and a blue cape. In his right "hand" he wielded a fan that was obviously his choice of weapon.
"Not so tough, are you?" The waddle doo said calmly to the big criminal.
Jack walked up to his savior and said "Woah, what are you supposed to be, with that giant eye and little hat and that funny little fan...?"
"I...am Samurai Doo" He said.

Ice Mountains
"Batman"? Just "I'm Batman"? Great, my first signal, and what I get is a sarcastic dude who'll spout geeky references at me when I try to talk. Not that I'd normally mind geeky references, but this is a time for...seriousness.
Shaking it off, he spoke.
"I have no idea where we are. I'm sorry. I'm guessing by your inquiry that YOU don't know either." he said.

-Forest Wandering-
WHOOSH!
THUD!
“Darn trees!”
There was a scrambling noise by Sama, then a short girl wearing black leaped out of a tree, holding two large spatulas that suddenly shrunk in size, the girl placing them in holsters by her hips.
“Way to hard to glide through trees...Maybe I should find a different way...” the girl frowned, then paused, as if just noticing Sama.
“Oh! Hey! You're...You're a Flan-!” Meline smiled brightly, “I think I saw you before, right? Do you know where Spork is?”
-Murky Swamp-
Why did there have to be water?
Spork grumbled to himself, sitting in a tree, looking down at the swamp. Well, he could always use his Custard Aura to float...Of course, he slightly regretted burning that letter with some Custard Lightning earlier now. It might have contained a clue.
Eddie didn't seem to be here with him, but his electronics still worked. He had seen the distress beacon nearby...well, relatively nearby, and had been following Vidit and Batman's short conversation.
He was an evil genius, so he had stayed silent. And from what he could tell, neither Jimi, Hammah, nor Avenger were here. But...he felt some Flan presences. And...her.
Spork seemed to brighten up a bit, and he even considered making contact with Vidit...
Well, maybe he'd find out a little bit more first.
-Dead Forest-
“Is that...Eggman?” Metal Sonic wondered, watching Robotnik from some dead growth, remaining hidden.
“No...scanners indicate it is not. A different version...” Metal Sonic concluded. “This may prove useful...”
Metal Sonic stepped out, making no effort to hide himself, making his way to Robotnik...
GoldenSama - August 22, 2009 11:07 AM (GMT)
Ice Mountains
Batman expressed little emotion in hearing that his new radio-buddy had no clue where they were either. He was undaunted -- he had dealt with odd things many times in the past, and it was never as easy as just calling someone and getting lucky.
"No. I don't know this place. Stay where you are, I'll be right there."
Turning off his radio, the dish retracted into the small device. Batman held it up and it started giving off a small beep in the direction of the mountains. He had gotten a lock on Cortana's location and would hurry there.
Taking a grappling hook gun from his utility belt, he aimed it at the mountains and fired it. It locked onto one of the lower areas and Batman retracted the line -- and himself -- to the mountain.
Then he looked up, and fired again; this time the line hit on a hill partially up the mountain. He carefully climbed up the side, using the retraction when he could do so safely, and climbing when he could not.
He stopped on a ledge near the top and took a pair of portable binoculars from his belt. He looked through them, and using the thermal imager he got a sight of Vidit's location.
The Dark Knight paused. It was just one man, there were no signs of a trap. He was cautious.
Then, he jumped up onto the same level of the mountains as Vidit and slowly started walking towards him. With the snow cape on, he was blending in with the sky and the snow -- but as he approached there was no mistaking his silhouette.
"... You're Vidit?" He asked, his eyes narrowed somewhat. He was always the cautious one.
Forest Wandering
The sidekick was wandering still, trying to find some sign of a road, or a path or even just animal tracks. Instead, he heard a loud thud and turned in time to see a girl he hardly knew.
Still, he recognized her! There weren't that many girls running around with giant magical purple utensils -- even where he was from.
"Oh, hey! You're Spork's friend. Uh... Melanie? No, that's someone else... um... Murphy Brown? No, that's an old TV show... but the actress who played her was on Boston Legal..."
As usual, Sama was getting sidetracked. Proving that he could descend into television trivia even without prompting from Kimi.
Then, he snapped his fingers. "Meline! That's who you are! I never forget a face, at least when I remember."
Nothing about what he had just said sounded strange to him. Instead, the sidekick shrugged, and then blinked.
"Heeeey... I don't suppose this is all Spork's doing, is it? Not to accuse, but... well, he's a science guy, and sometimes science guys rip holes in dimensions and stuff."
The sidekick shrugged. "Well, anyway... Since we're both lost, we might as well travel together. You help me look for my friends, and I'll help you keep an eye out for the Custard lot."
((Okay! I need sleep now. When I get up, I'll have some rather evil stuff happen, so be ready! 8D))
Clown Prince of Crime - August 22, 2009 12:42 PM (GMT)
Arctic Zone: Ice Mountains
A young girl was shaking and shivering, as she tried to figure out what was going on and walked aimlessly.
"There's no way I'm gonna find hot water in a place like this. Unless I can find a hot spring, my best bet is to worry about getting out of this frozen tundra first, then worry about changing back into a man."
The girl, as one might guess from her monologue, was not actually a girl at all. At least, not on the inside. The body was genuinely 100% female. However, this is because of a curse that this person has obtained. His name is Ranma Saotome. And he had carelessly gone to sleep while in his female state, not knowing that he'd end up in a place like this once he awoke.
"Huh?" Ranma said, as he looked into the distance. He noticed Vidit standing there, with Cortana. It was at this moment that Ranma decided to talk to that person, as he thought to himself, "Maybe that guy knows something about all of this."
Knucxsonia - August 22, 2009 04:59 PM (GMT)
Thick Forest
"Hellooooo! Anybody here?!" yelled a female voice with a cowgirl accent. It was KxS, the young Custard-I trainee. She had appeared in this strange place as well.
She looked at the note that was lying next to her when she woke up. She shook her head slowly, folded the note and put it in her jean pocket. The forest was thick enough to block out most of the sunlight, so she had a hard time seeing...her myopia didn't help at all.
She tried to sense the others...apparently, Avenger wasn't here. That didn't make her feel very safe. Her Knuckles Plushie wasn't around either...neither was Tinman or ES or Hammah...but she did sense two other Custard-I. She brightened up a bit, for she indeed sensed Meline.
She sensed Spork too, but which one was closer? She looked down to her boots and sighed. "I guess I better find a way out of this forest before lookin' for any of them." she told herself as she walked about the forest, hoping that she wouldn't run into something too big for her to handle.
Ice Mountains
Not too far from Vidit Light was a bird that looked like it was wearing a tuxedo. A cute little penguin was looking around the ice and Vidit. Next to it was the same note that everyone else was getting.
What Vidit wouldn't know was that this penguin was actually Nature Girl, a superhero for the state of Arkansas, who vowed to help keep the Natural State clean and safe from crime. But now she was in a whole different world...and she wasn't used to this cold weather.
At least she was able to turn into a penguin before she froze to death.
As she looked at Vidit, she was thinking. Who is this guy? Where'd he come from? Is he a local? Oh well. No point of showin' him that I'm a superhero until he gets enough ideas...or I could transform now, just to give him a good scare, but this isn't the time or place.
She just sat there being a cute little penguin, because....well, she liked being cute.
ChaosHalberd750 - August 22, 2009 05:19 PM (GMT)
-Central Mountains-
"...I see a oasis nearby. There's going to be tons of desert though...shall we?" Sam asked, Nodoka nodding.
"Maybe we can get some things to drink...I'm parched!" She drank from a canteen of water, Sam sweatdropping.
"...How much of that canteen did you drink?"
"Around a eighth." Sam snatched the canteen from her hand, and closed it.
"We can't risk running out of supplies. Just...c'mon. Let's make it to the oasis, then formulate a plan...and relax." Sam said, Nodoka sighing and nodding as they continued to rush down the mountain.
EvilSpritist - August 22, 2009 07:16 PM (GMT)
Ruined City
"Now, if you'll excuse me..." The waddle doo said before dashing away at an amazing pace.
"What a weirdo." Jack mumbled. "But now I'll just leave too. I gotta find Wuya."
He pressed a button on a strap that was on his chest. His backpack sprouted two propellers and he flew away from the accursed town. And he wouldn't be coming back.
Abandoned Lab Courtyard
Robotnik didn't notice Metal Sonic was approaching and just continued to walk up to the large lab.
"Hmm...not bad. Needs a statue of me right there." He said, pointing to a small area in the center of the courtyard.
He walked up to the door and knocked.
...No answer. So he opened to door carefully and walked inside.
Crystal Rose - August 22, 2009 07:52 PM (GMT)
Murky Swamp
Rina's ghostflame floated around, scanning the trees for any sign of it's master's friend. When it came across nothing it floted down and around the overgrown trees....Only stopping as a form caught it's eyes....It was not the boy it had been comanded to find but instead someone else....
The ghostflame shot down towards the professor, swooping around him a couple of times. It had never been fond of men...
Ice Mountains
Meanwhile Jason had heard the voice that had called out and trudged his way through the snow to find Vidit speaking into a strange device.
"Hey you! We're you just calling out?" He asked, keeping one hand at the ready in case he needed to attack.
The Oasis
Crystal continued walked through what seemed like the perfect Oasis, every now and then stopping and relaxing in the sand or in the water.
Currently she was sitting back in the water, kicking her feet boredly as she sat in thought. Perhaps this was the doing of Chaos Man....It seemed like something so utterly annoying that he would do it....Or maybe just CHoW? Or maybe even the professor? Crystal leaned back and stared at the blue skies...This was going to be hard...
ChaosHalberd750 - August 22, 2009 08:20 PM (GMT)
-The Oasis-
Nodoka was currently just latching onto Sam in weariness, the ebony hedgehog too bored to even care as he kept running. His back, however was starting to hurt. "Nodoka, can ya please just get off...we're close to the oasis, and we can rest up there..." Sam said, Nodoka nodding as she got off.
"...Speaking of the oasis...we're almost there." Nodoka added, Juuchi and Chiharu materializing in front of their respective wielders.
"Good...it's getting hot...too bad was don't have swimsuits. Oh well." Juuchi said, turning into a ball of green light, and rushing to the oasis (Think Tikal from SA.).
"Wait up!" Chiharu followed her, as did Sam and Nodoka.
GoldenSama - August 22, 2009 10:03 PM (GMT)
Mysterious Tower
A beeping noise on one of the many computers inside the mysterious tower alerted he who had done all of this to a situation. Someone had entered the laboratory in the north, and that meant it was showtime.
Clicking a switch, he activated an intercom. Then, just to be safe, he pushed another button and activated a voice scrambler.
"Attention whoever-you-are, you have just entered the Abandoned Laboratory. Ah, Robotnik! I see it would make sense that someone like you would seek out this place. Go on, use the machines here to help you all you like! However, I offer you one warning... while there are things in that lab that can help you, there are also things that will destroy you if you are not careful! So go on, play around... and watch out."
He hung up.
Arctic Zone: Ice Mountains
While Batman waited on a response from Vidit, he heard movement not far from them. Lifting his head, he saw a young woman with red hair. She did not seem like much of a threat, but years of experience told him to take no one lightly.
There was also a young man. Jason seemed perfectly normal on the outside, and even the great detective Batman couldn't guess people's powers without a demonstration. Still, just like a guard at the CIA or the father of a teenage girl, he was suspicious of everyone.
There also appeared to be a penguin. Batman wasn't a huge fan of the tuxedo-like birds. Usually when he saw them, they had missiles strapped to their backs, or were being used as part of a fiendish plot to steal things.
"..." He took a small, capsule like thing from his belt and threw it on the ground. It turned red and started giving off heat. "If you're cold, this should keep us all warm for a bit."
Forest Wandering
Sama needed a plan. He usually came up with plans, but most of those were for distracting people, or trying to win saber duels. Then, an idea hit him.
"Hey, wait..." He looked at the trees. He wondered if his cell phone was not working because of the forest, or because of the strange dimension. Well, there was only one way to be sure, even if he didn't like it.
"I'll be back in a minute..." Sama told Meline, and then he jumped into a tree. As a Flan-I, he could jump really well. Almost as good as a plumber!
In a matter of minutes, he was in the top of the tree, holding his cell phone above him. He waited, and waited, and then...
"Oh YEAH! A signal!" Sama grinned. Then he paused. Standing on top of a tree wasn't the best place for a phone call, but it would have to do. He tried calling the K Tower, but the phone told him it could not reach that number.
"Guess I AM in an alternate dimension... drat, I knew I should have sprung for the fancy phone with the trans-dimensional calling and the mp3 player!"
With a defeated sigh, he decided to try to check it, so he dialed Crystal's number.
The Vidit of Light - August 22, 2009 10:13 PM (GMT)
Ice Mountains
Vidit looked around. It seemed he had caught the attention of 3 others who had no idea where they were.
First off...
The voice...the costume...the figure...the gadgets...oh my gosh. I was wrong. This is either an impostor who's done his homework...or that's the real Batman! This...awesome! ...but I'm still not sure where we are. But still, BATMAN!
He was geeking out in his head, but maintained a much more calm demeanor on the outside.
"Yes...I'm Vidit." he said. "Hello."
He struggled with the notion of adding "It's an honor to meet you" or something like that, but decided to refrain from such hero appreciation until everyone had their bearings set.
He turned to Jason.
"Yeah, that was me calling just now. It's just that I noticed you around here, on this desolate peak, so I decided to get you're attention. Call me Vidit Light, and for you, I have two questions: one, who are you? And two, do you have any idea what this place is?"
However, another person approached. It looked like a soft-featured girl.
Vidit tensed. He was rarely a hit with the ladies, and the presence of one here put him on guard. Perhaps she was okay, but the sight of such a frail-looking body in the middle of a freezing climate like this made him somewhat...wary.
"Um...hello!" he called. "Are you cold?" he asked, and decided to show his new acquaintances a way he could help them:
"Stand back, please." he said.
He then aimed the glove away from the rest of them, and it shot out some flame. It kept it up, and the glove was basically providing a sort of mid-air campfire.
"Of course, this may be kind of redundant, considering what you've just done, sir." he said, addressing Batman. The "sir" was habitual; it had slipped out. "But it should keep up for an indefinate time if I wish it. This glove is...a very nice piece of work." he said.
"Again, hello." he said to Batman, Jason, and Ranma. "Call me Vidit Light. I don't know where this is, I just woke up here, and allow me to introduce my personal AI aide-"
the flame stopped, and was replaced by Cortana's full-sized hologram.
"Cortana." Vidit finished.
Cortana's hologram waved.
"Sir..." she said, regarding Vidit.
"I've detected even more vital signs. That penguin over there...there's something unusual about it."
"Thank you, Cortana. Sorry, but I'm going to get some more fire here, so..."
Cortana's hologram vanished, again replaced by the stream of flame.
"...so does ANYONE here know where we are?" he asked.

(Okay, I need to not post when I'm sleepy...XD)
-Murky Swamp-
Spork frowned, watching the fire creature swirl around him. Was it dangerous?
And he felt someone...
“Who's there?” Spork shouted again, ready to unleash a Pulse or a Custard Lightning should they prove unfriendly, “And what do you want?”
-Abandoned Laboratory-
“Very much like Eggman...” Metal thought to himself once more, walking behind Robotnik, and looking around at the lab, his red eyes glowing.
He could do some serious upgrading here...
-Forest Wandering-
Meline sighed, then started climbing up after Sama. While she might be the Custard Guardian, she could still do all those flip things her Flan-I counterpart did, so climbing a tree wasn't to difficult.
At least, when using her spatulas to her some room to get up.
As she poked her head out of the tree and glanced to Sama, she paused.
“Hey...I think someone's closer...a Custard-I!...It's not Spork though...”

As the voice stopped, Robotnik frowned. "Who was that? Oh well, a free lab all to myself!"
He grinned mischievously as he flipped on the nearby light switch. The lab was a mess and lacking a good deal of vital machines the doctor had at "Back at home.
"Always room for improvement." He said, dusting off an odd machine. "That hedgehog won't last a minute against all these new toys!"
"...Odd I haven't seen that hedgehog yet. He usually attempts to stop me around now. Perhaps..." Robotnik mumbled. "Hmmm...now, what shall I do first? The voice said there was some "trouble" in here. I shall destroy all the threats in here first!"
Robotnik rattled on, a habit he formed back at his old base. Though, he hd badniks to listen to him. Here, he was alone. He had yet to notice Metal Sonic...

Although Ranma preferred being in his regular, male state, being an attractive redhead did sometimes have its advantages. At the moment, however, the only thing that Ranma was most interested in was keeping warm.
As he approached the heat, he looked up at Vidit, and with his currently soft, female voice, he said, "Thank you." He offered a cute smile that most men might find irresistible. While in this form, Ranma didn't always have to try using his feminine charms, as they'd often manifest all their own. In this instance, Ranma was actually a bit oblivious to Vidit's nervousness.

Now the strange girl was smiling at him.
He blushed, looked away, and kept up the "campfire".
However, it seemed that he was being told...not to get too attached to the newcomer.
"So, uh..." he said. "...I'll repeat: anyone here know where we are?"

"..."
Standing inside one of the caves on the edge of the desert zone, a person in dark sunglasses stared off into the desert, before idly throwing a paper airplane made out of an envelope out of the cave, which nosed straight into the ground after only flying a few feet.
"There does seem to be a number of people from my world here," the person thought to himself, "...though it's hard to determine who is the closest, at least right now..."
Arctic Zone - Dead Forest Edge
Walking through the snow, a tall green haired girl was scanning the landscape as well, though for her, she literally was scanning everything, for signs of life, as well as anything else she could scan for with her internal sensors. She had already downloaded a map of the island from a USB port found on the outside of the abandoned lab she had passed by earlier, but did not quite understand what she should do from there. But if she could find humanoid life-forms, there would be a chance that Negi or Evangeline were also transported into this world, and that they might be able to help her find them.
Forest Zone
"Darling? Darling?! DARLING?!?!" a green haired girl in a blue school-girl's outfit yelled out, floating above the forest. She was looking for someone important, but couldn't find anyone. This worried the girl, as she hoped her darling was not in trouble, nor getting into trouble.

Murky Swamp
While Rina's ghost flame was hunting The Professor, Rina herself was being hunted by the HuntsGirl (say that 5 times fast).
Holding her staff defensively, HuntsGirl spied on Rina from a distance, hidden mostly by swamp gas.
"Hm... I thought she was a human, but if she can control that fire, she must be some form of magical creature..."
Forest Wandering
Above the trees, a Shinigami flew through the sky on a sythe, sitting on it like a broomstick. She was reading over the letter she'd found upon awakening on The Island... or, she was trying to; the paper was upside-down.
Because she was so preoccupied with reading, she didn't notice the particularly tall tree right in front of her, and she ran face-first into it.
"Aaaaah!" She screamed all the way down, finally hitting the ground with a loud THUMP. She sat up, her head still spinning. "Ooh... That was NOT fun..."
The Wise City
"HELLO???" A loud scream rang through the city. It belonged to Teh City's famous/infamous hero, Super Kimi.
"HEY! Is anyone here?! I'm STARVING! Do you have any idea who I am?!" She floated through the streets. "I have a side-kick! Do YOU have a side-kick? I think NOT! Helloooooooo?!"

Batman shook his head. "You read the letter, right? We're in some kind of alternate reality."
It had happened to him before. Batman had dealt with one horrible alternate world when his greatest enemy had stolen the powers of a trans-dimensional being and changed his world for the worse. Still, this place seemed different. There was a sense of order here, as if someone had a deliberate plan for them.
"I don't know about the rest of you, but I intend to find out who brought us here, and why. For now, though, it's cold and many of you aren't dressed for this climate. We should find shelter."
Forest Wandering
The tree Sayuri crashed into was not entirely empty. A few birds flew away, and one very surprised sidekick tumbled off the top.
"Ahhhh!" With a thunk, he fell into the ground and groaned. "Ka bibble..."
He sat up and rubbed his head. Then he noticed the new girl. She looked familiar, though he could not seem to place her. "Erm... you okay?" Sama asked.
The Wise City
A tall, snooty man in scholarly robes walked by and noticed Kimi.
"... My word, what ARE you shouting about? Such a noisy young woman."

Sayuri stood up, dusting off her school uniform.
"Yes!" She replied to Sama. "I am okee-dokee!" She picked up her sythe. "Are you alright? You should be more careful!"
The Wise City
Kimi spotted the stuck-up robed man and flew over to him.
"Hey, get your nose outta the air!" She sneered, scrunching her nose. She didn't have much respect for her elders. "I'm just looking for a place to eat!"
She flew a little away from him and looked around. "So hook me up with some grub and I'll chill, okay?"

Rina's ghostflame continued around the Professor, glaring at him every now and then. The small creature was deffinately not a big fan of men...
"There you are!" Rina exclaimed pulling back a few stray bushes and stepping through them. The ghost flame gave a squeak and rushed back to it's master. Rina sighed took the flame in her hand and it disappeared....
"Who are you?" Rina asked eying the Professor suspiciously. She suddenly looked behind her shoulder but saw nothing...She felt as if she was being watched.
Arctic Zone: Ice Mountains
Jason looked to Vidit "I'm Jason...And truthfully I have no clue how I got in this winter wonderland...." Suddenly Jason caught sight of Ranma...Without Melanie around (the only person he tried to act at least a big mature and responsible around) he was free to swoon....
"Why hello! Young lady! I don't think we've had the chance to meet! You know, i''m naturally a pretty hot guy--litterally and figuratively I must admit--so if you need to be warmed up i'd looovvve to help!"
The Oasis
Crystal had been being quite lazy, she kept telling herself she needed to start searching for others but at the same time this place was very nice. She continued to swing her legs lazily while staring out blankly into the water...
Suddenly a loud chime tore through the tranquil silence and Crystal found herself scrambling through a pocket in her skirt. She pulled out a small pink phone which was ringing and vibrating.
"There is no way this thing actually has service in another dimension!" She exclaimed grinning widely as the name of the caller popped up. She flipped the phone and spoke into it.
"Sama? You there? Can you hear me?"

Great...a ladies' man. Of course, he doesn't come off as very smooth...but what would I know about that? Vidit thought, noticing Jason's antics. However, such thoughts were not best for him to dwell upon, so he regarded Batman and what he said, and nodded.
He was actually dressed for the climate; he had woken up with his powered combat suit on, and it was actually quite comfortable in it.
"I agree." he said. "We should seek some shelter for now. Or signs of civilization. These mountains may not be the best place to remain or seek answers."

"Alright then...here we are, Nodoka. Now let's-" He was cut off by three splashes into the water, Chiharu, Juuchi and Nodoka all in.
"...Err...I really wanted to say 'relax, and take your dresses, gloves and Soaps off before you go in', but this works!" Sam did so as he said, and dived in. "So...how are we gonna get out of here..." His eyes darted to a girl nearby, and he walked up to her. "...You wouldn't happen to know where the heck we are, would you?"

((XD I am SO looking forward to seeing Jason and Vidit's reaction when Ranma finds hot water.))
Batman shook his head a bit at Jason's antics. He wasn't a big fan of teenagers who thought more with their hormones than their heads -- especially in a time of danger. Of course, that was coming from a guy who had a on-again, off-again romance with a cat burglar who he routinely arrested, so in all reality he was in no spot to judge.
"... I already scanned. There's a high concentration of electricity being used in a small area to the west of us. There's also another concentration to the right, in a larger area." Batman explained.
"It's impossible to know what either of them is without going there... but I'd say they're our best bet to find answers." The Dark Knight said.

Sama was still a bit dizzy from the fall. Apparently the girl who'd rammed into the tree was fine, though. That much was good -- Sama hated to see people injured, especially when those people were happy and friendly, as she appeared to be.
"Yeah, I'm fine, I..." Sama was going to point out that it was she, not he, who had knocked him off the tree -- when he heard another happy-and-friendly voice coming from somewhere. This one he recognized right away.
"Crystal? GAH! My phone!" Sama gasped, and he started scrambling through the grass to find it.
He picked it up. "Crystal? You there?"
He paused. Something was strange. Earlier the phone had no signal in the forest, and he was pretty sure the cheapo phone he'd bought didn't cover service in other dimensions. Plus, if Crystal was answering when the K Tower didn't, it meant she must be in the same weird dimension!
Ignoring all of that, Sama spoke into the phone. "Are you okay? I think I'm stuck in some alternate dimension..."
The Wise City
The snooty man seemed genuinely offended by Kimi.
"I say, you've got some manners! At any rate, though, there is a restaurant around the corner. Not that a ruffian like you could afford it."
He pointed his nose up in the air and stormed off.

HuntsGirl saw this as the perfect time to strike. She leaped into view of Rina and the Professor, pointing her staff at Rina.
"What manner of magical creature are you?" She shouted. "Don't bother speaking!" She continued, not giving Rina a chance to answer. "In the name of the Hunts Clan, I plan to capture you, just as we will capture all of you!"
Forest Wandering
Noticing Sama's cell phone, Sayuri got very excited. "Ooh, you have a cellie!" She took her mobile phone out and took a picture of Sama, the flash being much brighter than it needed to be. "You totally have to put your number in my phone!"
The Wise City
"Pfft." Kimi floated in the opposite direction of the snobby man and toward the restaurant he mentioned. When she arrived, she looked for a drive-thru window. When she didn't find one, she went inside.
She snapped her fingers. "Okay, some old fart said there was food here. So get me 5 cheese burgers, a large cheese pizza, and a triple chocolate cake. Butter cream icing, obviously."
Crystal Rose - August 23, 2009 06:17 AM (GMT)

Rina turned around in a flash, green eyes narrowed and expression unamused. "You can't be serious" She muttered at the strange girl, probably a bit younger than herself dressed as if she was some sort of ninja from a cheesy television program. With the flick of the wrist her ghostflame appeared once more, looking less than amused much like it's owner.
"Touch me and you will get burned. Literally."
The Oasis
Crystal grinned widely, speaking into her small pink phone. "I'm fine, what about you-waaaait YOU'RE in an alternate dimension too? So that must mean this is bigger than I was-" Suddenly she could hear another voice on Sama's end of the conversation. By the sounds of it a very excited girl. Crystal rose an eyebrow. "Saaama? Who's with you?"
"...You wouldn't happen to know where the heck we are, would you?"
Crystal looked over to the source of the voice and found herself lowering her gaze a bit to see the....Hedgehog. Crystal tilted her head in confusion and placed the phone back to her face. "Uhhh hold that thought Sama..."
"I don't mean for this to sound impolite but...What are you?"

The girl behind the counter at the restaurant looked at Kimi like a deer caught in the headlights.
"Uhm... we don't have that kind of stuff... this is a salad bar. All we have is salad. Oh, and crackers. Tofu crackers!" She explained.
Forest Wandering
Sama was relieved to hear Crystal was in this dimension too. That was a good thing! And as the cellphones were working now, he made a mental plan to call everyone he knew after this -- Kimi, Spoony, Rowen, Tazzy, Phazon, Hammah ... if there was a chance everyone was here, they might all be able too-
"Ahh!" Sama yelped as Sayuri took his picture and the flash burned his retinas and caused him to fall backwards on his behind. He whimpered and started rubbing his eyes with his free hand, when suddenly he heard Crystal speak again.
"Saaama? Who's with you?"
Now Sama watched television. A LOT of television. As such, he had come across a little show called 'Three's Company' and knew all about how the slightest misunderstanding could blow up and turn into a half-hour of insanity. (Or a special two-part hour of insanity if it was sweeps week).
"Ah! Hold on!"
Before he could say anymore, though, Crystal told him to hold on, and from the sounds of things, something weird was happening where she was too.
The Mystery Tower
The mysterious master villain who had put all this together was watching EVERYTHING that everyone was doing on several computer screens hanging on the walls in front of and around his swivel chair.
"... Hmm... so many heroes and villains... Oh? What's this?"
He looked on one screen. It showed the Ruined City. "... Seems the Joker is taking over. That's a scary thought."
Then, another screen showed him The Wise City -- and Super Kimi.
He paused. "... That's right, stuff your face! Enjoy it, because it'll be your LAST meal! But I'll deal with YOU later."
He looked at another screen that showed Lum in the forest, and another that showed the group gathered on the mountain. He frowned.
"Too many together! Can't have that. I'll have to send a welcome wagon."
He pressed a button.

Kimi's eye twitched. "...TOFU? Ugh! Is there any place in this dump where I can get some REAL food?" She rubbed her forehead and looked around, noticing no one she knew was around and wouldn't see her eating wimpy food.
"Fine.. gimmie all the tofu crackers you have." She sighed. Digging in her pocket, she asked "You guys take cash?"

"I'm always serious, magical fiend!" HuntsGirl hissed. "And I won't have to touch you, with this!"
With that, she pointed her staff and shot a green laser at Rina (no joke; her staff can actually do that).

Ranma had forgotten that he was still female, having been so preoccupied with how cold it was. Jason's advances were an abrupt reminder to Ranma of his current state.
"Oh... ummm... heh... that's alright. I... I think I'm just fine with this fire right here, but thanks."
Ranma then began to think, "The sooner I can find some hot water, the better. Having another guy look at me like that gives me the creeps."

"Hello, there! I have a cell phone, too! Would it be alright if I put to good use by getting your name and number?"

(("Something... something... and Mr. Roper..."))
Sama flinched, hoping that Crystal knew him well enough to know better than it sounded, and hoping that the inevitable law of television did not apply to RPs as well.
Then he paused, realizing something. "Hey, wait... who are you, anyway? Do you know the Spoon?"
Then (as if on cue XD) Ataru appeared, seemingly out of the blue! Sama blinked and then groaned. With Sayuri and Meline here in the forest, the last person who needed to show up was Moroboshi!
Still, he was far more concerned with getting home, and even more than that he was concerned about what Crystal might be thinking.
Arctic Zone: Ice Mountains
Batman nodded in agreement with Vidit.
"If it is a city, it's our best shot at some clues. Still, it could be a long walk... I'll be counting on you and your glove to keep the others warm."
Batman could spot a professional. He had been in his line of work long enough to learn the signs. Vidit had them; some of the others, though, did not.
Then, Batman froze. Not from the cold, but from a movement under the snow behind them. Something seemed to be 'swimming' in the snow.
"Watch out!" He yelled to Ranma and Jason. A small, robot shark jumped out of the snow and tried to attack them!

The clerk tilted her head a bit. She pointed at the salad bar to the side.

She rifled through her pockets, she pulled out her own phone.
“Ahhhh!...I have Spork's number here...” she muttered, tapping at the numbers.
Ring...~
-Murky Swamp-
Spork raised an eyebrow as this strange hunter girl appeared, and challenged Rina, claiming for her to be a monster of some sort.
“Humph...Some people,” Spork sighed, then stepped off the tree, floating down and staying in the air over the swamp with his Custard Aura.
“Look, we're all in a strange world. Fighting amongst each other isn't going to-”
Ring...~
“Errr...one second.”
Spork dug through his pockets and pulled out a phone, flipping it open, then paused, looking to see who was there.
“Meline? Hello?” Spork said, turning his back to the two girls to talk, “Where are you?”
He paused, as she began to tell him what she knew.
“Sama's with you...?...Well, could be worse...”
“Least she didn't run into Crystal Rose...” Spork thought to himself. He didn't want her giving Meline lessons in anything...
“Hmmm? I'm in a swamp...Yah...”
He continued to ignore the other two girls for the moment...

Ataru, for a brief moment, had a serious look on his face (a rarity for him), as he looked at both Sayuri and Wonder Sama, somewhat intently.
