This topic is all about all those games on Sega Genesis, Super Nintendo and Nintendo that have Roms that you can play on your comp.

If anyone needs any, I got a CRAPLOAD of rommed games.

But not any of Sonic... Which is why this is not a Sonic gaming topic! XD

So... Anyone wants any specific roms or maybe a way to play them?

I used to have a flanload (not cursy, see?) of ROMs on my comp.

Mostly Megaman and Metroid. :D They are awesome games!!

That's CPoC in the Should We Advocate Roms? thread in feedback, if you choose 'from the beginning'. He's against them. So... tread carefully? GS, you decide.... I'd love to talk about this, but say what you think CPoC would say about the continuation of this topic. I'm hardly impartial. XD

No idea what that means, HA. XD I was never against it, but I was cautious. I don't think discussion falls into something that could get us in trouble. But we'll let GS decide. :)

Seeing as how CPoC has already decided that the Rapid Board shall not advocate Roms, just to be on the safe side of legality, I would have to say that any trading/selling roms over the board would qualify as a violation of the guidelines, and would have to result in the closing and/or deletion of topic in question, and/or warning level increase for members in question, and/or, in a sever case, possible temporary suspension and/or banishment of members in question.

However, the mere DISCUSSION of roms does not, in my opinion, violate the terms and guidelines of the board as set by CPoC, therefore DISCUSSING roms is perfectly acceptable.

However, because of CPoC's decision, I must warn you that if you plan to trade and/or sell roms, you must do it via AIM, MSN, Yahoo or some other messenger service -- NOT the IRC channel, as that is part of the forums, and NOT on the Private Messager service that is a part of the Rapid Board.

*Bangs Gavel*

And that's the ruling. Of course, CPoC still has final say and can overturn said ruling if he wants to; but I doubt he would since it was his choice not to advocate roms in the first place.

I'll make sure to wait up though until CPoC comes back. Don't want another friend on my ass with threads of deleting me off the board and banning me forever from both the IRC room and the site.

And don't worry -- it's been a while since CPoC talked about roms, so NOBODY will get any punishment for this. If you want to trade/sell Roms, just do it off the rapid board so we don't get in trouble. Feel free to talk about them, just not facilitate or promote their sales/trades on here.
