Title: Weird Teams
Description: The sign-ups are done, let's begin.

AGodofIrony - December 12, 2005 12:02 AM (GMT)
Alright, quick note. The sign-ups are now done, and not including the evil Team I made for later, we have five Teams

AGodofIrony - Team Unlikely

BlueRush - Team Rush

Golden Sama - Team Treasure Hunt

Hell Avatar - Team Stellar Alpha

Kimiko - Team Steller Beta

Now to start! Team Unlikely go!

Plot.

A strange man has called forth a sort of challenge. Various Teams are to come forward and test their mettle, in order to win a fabulous prize. A few Teams come for this promise of a prize, some for a challenge.

But for Team Unlikely, they came due to suspicion.

Well, Shadow and Tails were, Big was just wondering where Froggy had gotten to again, a point which drove across to his teammates at regular intervals.

“Alright already! I know your stupid frog is lost! Be quiet about it, and we’ll find him!” Shadow finally snapped, turning around and looking up at the big purple cat.

“Sorry,” Big apologized, looking sincerely downcast.

“Guys, we’re almost to the plane that will take us to the island where this tournament is. Be calm,” Tails sighed. They had been walking in the desert waste land for nearly an hour now. In sight, they could see the form of a small airplane ahead.

“Great! Let’s go!” Shadow shouted. Having black fur, he was the hottest of them, the black absorbing heat. He blasted forward, propelled by his Air Shoes. Tails followed after him, hovering slightly with the help of his two tails.

Big blinked slightly, then wiped the sweat off his brow and lumbered forward, moving surprisingly fast for someone his size.

The three made it to the plane quickly. A dark suited man wearing sunglasses stepped from the small plane to meet them.

“Team Unlikely I presume?” the man asked.

“No, we’re Santa’s elves,” Shadow snorted, rolling his eyes.

“Step aboard please. We’ll be heading right for the island. You’ll meet the other Teams there,” the man smiled, taking a step to the side. Team Unlikely clambered up the stairs and seated themselves. The man followed and entered the cockpit.

“Are they going to show a movie on this flight?” Big wondered as the plane took off, leaving the sun parched desert behind.

Let's go!

BlueRush - December 12, 2005 12:55 AM (GMT)
"Would ya keep yer kilt on, laddie? We'll be there in a minute, allrigh'?" said MacKnuckles, turning around to face his friends. The submarine they were in was just now surfacing by the island they were supposed to meet at.

Bound sighed his resignation. This trip was taking forever.
"This is such a waste of time," he said. "I bet the prize isn't even the Precioustone."

Goodbotnik looked at him gently. "Now, now. There's no harm in checking, is there?" he said warmly. "And besides, we may find a clue to where it is, by meeting all those people. New friends are always nice," he murmured as the submarine came above sea level.

"Finally! Let's go!" said Bound, leaping up and undoing the hatch. He stepped out into the open air. "Pull closer so I can leap to shore!" he called down to MacKnuckles.

MacKnuckles rolled his eyes. "Ach," he groaned, pulling closer.

HellAvatar - December 12, 2005 01:12 AM (GMT)
Nite, Solar and X13 decided to travel in style.

Not like they didn't every time... It was just that this time it was more formal.

They recieved the invitation through Nova, of course, who sent them to this interesting "tournament", and also sent them to check the area. He did not usually survey this area, and left it up to Team Stellar to get the things done.

Which was why Nite was bringing Spy along in the first place: 24-hour contact with Desty Nova to give in reports.

They couldn't call upon Desty Nova's help though. The genius's lab was still in the works, and Nova was finding problems in trying to coordinate his brand-new security system. So they could not rely on backup.

Which made this all the more interesting.

2 hours ago, both of the teams called, Stellar Alpha and Stellar Beta, boarded the Ragnarok along with Kayhat who would be their supplier. They were minutes away from their destination already, and X13 was pacing, while both Nite and Solar were stretched on their respective couches, as lazy as flies in spring. Stellar Beta have not been seen for a while now, hiding away SOMEWHERE on this ship.

It was easy to guess where though. Rea was probably in the training room, Chakra was with her and Starlite was either in her room or the training center.

They were seperate teams, but were working together, and as such were very much still one team. Except for Kayhat. She has been pissed off for a while because she was not chosen to be a part of this... But calmed down when she heard the news that she could pilot the Ragnarok.

She still was, pulling the ship through top atmospheric speed of Mach 5.5

At least they were all comfortable...

"Arrival in 1.56 minutes." said the on-board computer as the ship neared it's target, a small island in the middle of nowhere.

AGodofIrony - December 12, 2005 04:54 AM (GMT)
Big and Tails watched in amazement as the plane flew over the island, going down for a landing. It was split into different zones. In the very middle, a large building surrounded by smaller ones, and various courts. To the north, a lush jungle forest could be see. The east held a desert area, bare a desolate wasteland, but it seemed as though a cave was there.

The west showed an icy field. Tails wondered if there was a Chaos Emerald or more there, as it would take a lot of energy to keep it cold like that. Finally, the south showed one large, dome shaped building. What it held was a mystery to them at the moment.

The plane, top of the line, entered hover mode and landed on the landing zone for the plane.

The sun-glassed man came back into the compartment where Team Unlikely were sitting.

“Follow me,” he said, leading them out and down the stairs.

The air was slightly muggy, as they were closes to the jungle zone. The sun-glassed man walked forward, Shadow skating behind on his Air Shoes, and Tails and Big plodded behind him.

All of a sudden a trap door opened up underneath Team Unlikely. Taken by surprise, Tails forgot he could fly and they fell down. The sun-glassed man did not fall though.

Looking up, they saw the trap door close, leaving them in darkness.

Shadow pulled out his green Chaos Emerald, shining it and looking around. Suddenly, a light flicked on, and they found themselves surrounded by a horde of robots.

“Well this is a great,” Shadow muttered.

“Team Blast?” Tails suggested.

“Got that right,” Shadow snorted, he held up his Chaos Emerald, “Cha-”

He was cut short when he was suddenly launched into the air by Big and Tails, his Chaos Emerald going flying into the air and inserting itself into a random robot.

The robot who got the Chaos Emerald stuck in itself went crazy from the energy, firing everywhere at it’s own allies, while Team Unlikely shielded themselves with Big’s multi-purpose umbrella.

Finally, all the robots were destroyed, and the Chaos Emerald came sailing out from the last robot and landed in Shadow’s outstretched hand, who picked himself from the floor and dusted himself off.

“I am always amazed when that happens,” Shadow muttered.

“We got them all!” Big said happily. “Now what?”

“Excellent Team Unlikely, you have passed the test. Follow this tunnel,” a lighted pathway suddenly showed up for them, “and you will get into the break room, where you shall meet with the other Teams,” a mysterious voice said, most likely through some speakers.

“Heh. Should have expected something like this. Come on guys, let’s see if that faker got a Team together,” Shadow muttered, skating to the tunnel. Tails and Big followed after as well.

In the top most room of the islands main room, three figures were discussing matters.

“So Sonic didn’t come huh? So what? The seventh Chaos Emerald came with Team Unlikely,” Nack the Weasel said, looking over at Metal Sonic II.

“How many times must I tell you? The Chaos Emeralds do not matter! What mattered was killing Sonic!” Metal Sonic II roared, slamming his robotic fists into the desks splitting it in half.

“Now, now, don’t get mad. It seems we have a number of powerful people coming. You’ll get all the Life Form Battle data you need. Ain’t that right Tails Doll?” Nack grinned, looking over the creepy robotic version of Tails Doll.

“…” was the Tails Doll reply.

“Creepy. Anyhow, we’ll do fine. I still don’t know why you’re putting up five of those Chaos Emeralds for mini prizes. I had to argue to get one for myself,” Nack grumbled, grabbing his gun and starting to clean it.

“That was your payment, remember? Now make sure everything’s ready,” Metal Sonic II growled.

“Heh, fine. Just don’t forgot. If those Teams don’t get the Chaos Emeralds, they’re mine, k?” Nack said, opening the door and stepping outside.

“I know. You only told me about ten dozen times,” Metal Sonic II muttered. The Tails Doll remained quiet and unmoving.

“The things Eggman builds,” Nack sighed, closing the door and heading off.

Kimiko - December 12, 2005 05:52 AM (GMT)
Rea backflipped away from Chakra and landed right on her feet. She exhaled and quickly stood back up. Chakra put her hands together and began chanting, but Rea's mind had shifted over to their other teammate, who sat far away from their training, obviously preoccupied.

"Somethin' wrong, Starlite?" She asked, leaping up onto Chakra's shoulder and kicking her down onto the mat. The ninja growled but quickly recovered.

Starlite sighed. "I'm just worried about this 'tournament' thing... I mean, what if we end up going against Nite, Solar and X13? I'd hate to have to fight them."

"Yea, they'd beat us six feet under." Chakra said gloomily, as if teh thought of death did not phase her.

"You don't mean they'd kill us, do you?" Starlite snapped, standing stright up with her hands cupped.

Rea elbowed Chakra lightly. "No way, Star. You know Nite has a thing for you. Besides..." She closed her eyes and laced her fingers, holding them under her chin as she rocked back and forth. "X13 wouldn't DARE hurt me!"

Starlite sweatdropped. "Actually, Rea, I think those three would do ANYTHING to get their hands on that prize." She said. "Even hurt us."

HellAvatar - December 12, 2005 07:15 AM (GMT)
"Ship arriving to unidentified sector. Finding landing location... Location found. Landing sequence activated."

The robotic voice was getting annoying, so Nite shut it out of his mind as he meditated for the last few minutes of the flight. The ship was landing, and Solar managed to fall into a doze about half a minute ago. X13 was still pacing as usual.

"Hey, X... Whatcha think of this prize thing?" Nite suddenly asked.

"Umm... I dunno. It seems like this might be a trap and we are walking into it with our chests exposed... So to say, like you living things do all the time. But still... I do not care for the prize. The prizes are just a distraction, because our TOP priority is to maop this place out for Nova. Nite, you got Spy on ye?"

"Yes. But he's asleep as usual."

"The lazy bum... You'll have to wake him up, you know."

"I know. But not yet. I'm going to give him a jumpstart later on though."

A few minutes of silence.

"Hey..." X13 asked tentatively, prying.

"Yea?"

"If we have to fight the other 3 for the prize..."

"We won't. I believe that the prize is won if either of our teams is put up against each other in the end, because we are one big team after all. So if we forfeit or they forfeit, both of us still win, correct?"

"But if we forfeit..."

"I hope it does not come to that. But if it is required..."

"You mean you'd fight?"

"No. I would only fight them if there was a better reason. If they went against me and I had to defend myself, I would. If I am given a good reason to fight them, I would. If I am paid enough, I would. But do you seriously think someone would be willing topay that high of an amount?"

"I know... What was it you said? 400 quintillion dollars for a single friend?"

"Double that if it is a close friend or teammate, and quadruple that if it is something even closer, like family."

"Ah... So you would not fight?"

"If we are both facing off, that means we both won. Is that not so?"

"I guess you're right..."

The ship touched down lightly, on land right in sight of the landing zone of the helicopter in which Team Unlikely arrived in. Not like any of them knew about this team yet...

Nite stood up and stretched, putting on his psychic crown and clipping it on.

"Nevertheless, I will do ANYTHING in my power to prevent a fight in between the team."

X13 nodded.

And Solar scoffed from his couch, clearly showing that he has been awake during this entire conversation.

"I dunno what you two're blabbin' about. I'd be glad to whoop their sorry asses once in a while on good terms and not in training mode. It would be FUN."

Nite shrugged, and X13 did too, but both of them flashed knowledgeable glances at each other.

But Nite was definitely NOT feeling melancholy.

Which he clearly showed by coming up to the exit ladder, and lowered it, opening the door with a hiss.

"Come on! We got butt to kick!"

X13 touched the pad on his left hand, and sent a message down to the fighting arena in the ship, speaking in a mock-western voice.

"Ladies and gents, we're touched down. We're dis'm'barking, and ye should follow up 's well. We'll be waitin' with the sitch'ation debrief outside."

X13 cut off the com-line, and followed Nite and Solar , which were already outside, looking around carefully. Nite was probing the surroundings with his psychic senses, Solar was looking about, and X13 activated his radars to see anything suspicious. But all of them were now ready for this in their usual moods, ready for anything, showing absolutely no signs that the conversation has gone by.

AGodofIrony - December 13, 2005 03:02 AM (GMT)
Team Unlikely made it through the tunnel, opening the door, they found a large room, decorated to entertain.

Off down another hallway, a sign over it reading ‘Rooms’ was seen, as long with several other hallways and a staircase, all labeled with what led on.

The room itself was large. Occupying a big part of the wall was large plasma screen. A small pit was in the center, a few couches, chairs, and pillows were seen there. All about the room held different things, maps of the different zones on the island, movies, and various other things the different Teams would do to keep themselves occupied when they weren’t working on the Tournament. The sun-glassed man that had flown Team Unlikely to the island stood by the door, and turned to address them.

“You’re the first ones here, of course, that’s only because you had us transport you here. The others Teams will be here shortly. There’s five in all. My name is Bannor, and the employer in charge of bringing all of you here wishes to remain anonymous for now. Any questions will be directed at me,” the man named Bannor said, looking at the Team.

“What’s the prize?” Shadow wondered, looking up at the human.

“It is something you will learn all in due time. For now, you may train against yourselves, the computer, or another Team if you wish. The first level of the Tournament is to see how well you work like a Team. Pass that, and you’ll get to see the next thing,” Bannor stated, returning to his post.

Big had wandered off to look around the room, inspecting the movies. Tails was still standing by Shadow, and the two shared a glance.

“Why do I get the feeling something bad is going to happen?” Tails said, looking about.

“Your not alone…” Shadow said, then began to interrogate Bannor on who was on the other Teams.

HellAvatar - December 13, 2005 04:25 PM (GMT)
"Alright, no one seems to be here... At all. This is VERY strange... Could the team that arrived here just disappeared?"

Nite scoffed at X13's remark.

"They could not just "disappear". I have a feeling that someone would come by to pick us up or to show us where to go. As for now... Meh. I feel like meditating a bit in the shade. You with me, Solar?"

"Nah. I'll go warm myself in the sun."

"Lazy lion..."

"Hey, it was YOUR idea!"

Nite chuckled, shaking his head a bit. Solar shrugged hopelessly, and dropped down to the ground, stretching out in the sun. Nite found a tree and found a proper position to meditate, while X13 joined Nite in the shade.

"This feels like an extention of our vacation..." remarked the robot, closing his eyes. He cocked one ear up though, to make sure he could hear Nite's answer to this remark.

Nite nodded slightly.

"It's not going to be so for much longer. Enjoy it while it lasts."

"I plan to."

And the trio dozed off in their own fashion, waiting for the ladies to finish up in the ship and for someone or something to show them where to go. This was a tournament after all, and they were not familiar with the island. So they waited there, 3 different versions of cat, lazy as always, dozing lightly while still alert to anything that came by.

Kimiko - December 13, 2005 10:25 PM (GMT)
"Let's get outside." Rea suggested, finally getting annoyed from being stuck in the ship. "We landed a couple of minutes ago, and I'd bet both my ears that those boys are waiting for us anyway."

Chakra nodded. "So would I." SHe looked over at Starlite. "You coming?"

"Of course." Starlite replied, half-smiling. She began walking out of the training center, wiping the thought of fighting her friends out of her mind. She couldn't even imagine what made her think that in teh first place, teh very idea seemed other-worldly now. Maybe it was just that room that made her so nervous, the training center WAS meant for fighting, but she decided that anything outside of that wouldn't happen. Nite would never let it come to that.

"Hey, X!" Rea squealed suddenly. Starlite jumped at the sound of her voice; she hadn't even noticed that they'd made it outside. She now seemed so used to walking through such places that she could get anywhere without thinking about it. So odd, this state of mind seemed, but Starlite didn't let it bother her.

Cakra looked around. "Is anyone else here?"

AGodofIrony - December 14, 2005 05:04 AM (GMT)
After a while, Shadow gave up interoggating Bannor. Bannor then said he had to pick up the other Teams that had arrived, and would return soon.

Bannor left the building, making his way to Team Stellar Alpha and Beta's ship, wondering if he would be able to trick them into the test like Team Unlikely.

Spotting the plane, he approached, his sun-glasses still securely on.

"Team Stellar Alpha and Team Stellar Beta? Come this way please," Bannor said, loudly, awakening those who were asleep, and motioning them to follow him.

Bannor decided that with these six, who information told them they all knew each other very well, it would be best to just tell them they needed to past a test for them to get on for good.

After telling the two Teams, he then reached into his jacket and pressed a button. Tubes came from the ground and without warning, sucked up the two Teams into seperate locations underground, and to their tests.

"Two more Teams have made it to the Testing Facility. We are still awaiting the last two," Bannor said, pressing a button on his sunglasses.

"Got that," Nack's voice said back through the com link. "Do they look any good?"

"You're the one who got the information on them. I just follow orders," Bannor shrugged. Nack sighed over the com, then signed off.

HellAvatar - December 14, 2005 05:46 AM (GMT)
Well...

There they went again!

Nite dropped down the tube, his mind working faster than anything else...

And he was the only one of the trio that managed a graceful landing by softening his speed with a psychic push downwards, propelling himself in the opposte direction at the last moment.

Solar and X13 were not so lucky. Solar landed on his backside and made a funny kind of a half-yelp, half-squeal, while X13 smashed into the ground flat across his back. And since X weighed around 400 pounds...

The metalloic clang could be heard for quite a distance around.

X stood up, grinning sheepishly, as Solar rubbed his injured pride and also stood up.

"Dang, does that guy ever warn people?"

Nite shook his head at that.

"Probably not. This is either a trap or a test. Probably the latter, although I cannot dismiss the value of the former. Wait there for a sec. I'll contact Starlite and give her the thumbs-up."

Nite sent out a psychic message to Starlite, saying only "You know what to do." They have been briefed by Nova before going here, and had their orders already. Nite was just making sure that Starlite followed those orders.

He turned back to Solar and X13, nodding.

"Come on. There is a passage this way, and I BET there are obstacles. Be on your guard. We move out in Alpha formation."

Solar nodded and took point, getting his dagger out to be sure about things. Nite got in the middle, psychically scanning the area to see if anything was moving, breathing or making ANY anomalities in the environment at all. X13 guarded the back, walking backwards, arms turned into one-shot, high-caliber guns.

AGodofIrony - December 15, 2005 03:23 AM (GMT)
((HellAvatar brought this to my attention... It seems that I need to plan this a little more directly...Okay, here's the battle plan.

Once you get on the island and pass the test, the Teams meet. At that time then, you may spar against another Team, with permission from that Team.

After everything there is settled, we start the first 'mission'. The base of that mission is to search your assigned zone for the Chaos Emerald hidden there, and as it would take me days to plan, map, and accurately descirbed one zone, that part will up to you to look for. All the zones will have robots, and a few monsters. When you find your Chaos Emerald, you must then head back to the main building of the island. This will give the Teams a collective SIX Chaos Emeralds.

There, everyone chooses ONE member of their Team, preferably the smartest ones, or, the most paranoid ones, who think that something is up. Those will soon uncover the location of where Nack hid his precious seventh Chaos Emerald, and Metal Sonic II's plans.

Team Mecha (The bad guys) then assemble to find the assorted members, who then flee to find the rest of their Team.

There, the Teams join forces to fend off Team Mecha. Now, I got this idea once I saw Team Stellar Alpha's Team Blast. That one seems the most powerful. The other Teams will buy time by facing off against Team Mecha in a row, so Team Stellar Alpha can make sure they get their Team Blast right, and then decimate Team Mecha.

After that, I have a little surprise for you guys, so you'll have to wait and see.

That's the plan so far, I'll fill in more details when we come to it!

Last Note: GoldenSama, we're still waiting for you to post!))

GoldenSama - December 15, 2005 03:26 AM (GMT)
(Sorry I haven't posted yet. I will try to tomorrow. It's too difficult to type right now with my arm in such pain.)

HellAvatar - December 15, 2005 03:45 AM (GMT)
(Hey, AGoI... You might want to post that in the signups so people won't confuse this as an actual in-RP post.)

Kimiko - December 15, 2005 04:15 AM (GMT)
((Indeed; that's why we choose to keep teh sign-ups open, for stuff like this. :3))

With a high-pitched meow, teh click of Chakra's kunai knives hitting each other (she'd pulled out three in fight reflex), and a loud grunt, Team Stellar Beta landed gracefully on teh ground.

...eh, a might LESS than graceful, what with a hand-to-hand combat specialist that landed on her feet (but may have pulled something in teh process), a ninja that landed on her knees, and an alien that slipped on her heels and fell over with a yelp.

As Starlite rubbed her aching back, she received Nite's message and nodded. "You can count on me, Nite."

Rea and Chakra tilted their heads; it seemed like Starlite was just talking to herself aloud.

BlueRush - December 16, 2005 03:45 AM (GMT)
(( Indeed. Or just put them in (()) like this. :) ))
(( Whoah! Don't tell us the whole plot! :o We need freedom... meaning, it's probably not going to happen exactly that way... trust me, it's more fun that way. ;) ))

Bound and his team finally made their way to the center complex. "What's this then?" asked MacKnuckles. "I doon't beleive I've seen much else like this before," he said, scratching his beret. Goodbotnik pointed to Bannor. "There appears to be someone standing over there," chirped Goodbotnik spritely. "Let's go see!" he said.

Goodbotnik hopped out of his YolkPod and skipped over to him on thin legs and stopped abruptly in front of him. He was in top physical condition, of course, aside from being FAT, and always in good manners. "Good day to you, sir," he said, bowing deeply. "I am Dr. J. Kintobor, known to some as 'Goodbotnik'. My friends call me 'Doctor', and as I now consider you my friend, dear friend," he said, winking at Bannor cheerfully, "You may call me that as well." With a jolly flourish, the fat man handed him his business card.

----------------------------------------

Bound and MacKnuckles followed him. "What exactly is this 'prize'?" asked Bound, straight to the point.

AGodofIrony - December 17, 2005 02:33 AM (GMT)
Bannor grinned, looking down at Bound.

"The prize shall be revealed in time. For now," Bannor took Goodbotnik's card from him and placed it in his pocket, "follow me and I'll show you to your quarters. I suggest you bring anything you need with you. There's...a test, soon, you won't have time to get your stuff for it."

Bannor continued to stand there, waiting for them to get ready.

BlueRush - December 18, 2005 03:59 PM (GMT)
"We've already got our stuff!" cried Bound. It was true; Bound's staff was extendable, MacKnuckles's beret was on his head, and Goodbotnik's YolkPod automatically floated over to him.

(( Can't... do... anything... until AGOI posts.... we need more freedom, AGOI! ;_; ))

AGodofIrony - December 19, 2005 06:58 AM (GMT)
(sorry...I was waiting for you guys to get ready...I didn't want to spring the trap on you before you were ready...And the trap is a lot like what Team Unlikely faced. A horde of bloodthirsty robots. Yes...bloodthirsty <.<;. Anyhow... Beat the robots, walk down the hallway, and you'll find yourself in the building where Team Unlikely is now!)

"Excellent. Follow me," Bannor smiled, turning around sharply and walking forward. As he got a few good steps ahead of them, a trap door opened up beneath them like with Team Unlikely, and claw arm came flying upwards to drag Goodbotnik down in his Yolk Pod as well.

The trap door close above Team Rush, and the claw released Goodbotnik, and the sounds of robot feet could be heard in the darkness.

The light flashed on, and they found themselves surrounded by a robot horde.

(And sorry for not posting earlier...I was in Sacremento till now...Heh...Sorry!)

GoldenSama - December 19, 2005 07:17 AM (GMT)
A large ship was breaking the waves as it bound across the ocean towards the Island where the events were currently happening. This ship was an ancient echidna vessel, with only three people onboard right now. How the three of them had come to be in each other’s favor was a long story, but right now all three were on their way looking for treasure. The message they had been given told them they could find the treasure on the island they were heading too.

“Can’t this hunk of junk move any faster, Knucklehead?”

Rouge the Bat, the world’s greatest jewel thief, was sitting on the top of the echidna ship, filing her nails and yawning in boredom. She hated this kind of slow travel; but she had wings and was used to flying everywhere at her own speed.

“Nobody asked you to come along.” Knuckles the Red Echidna, Guardian of the Master Emerald of the Floating Island, replied. He was standing on the deck with his arms crossed, glaring up at Rouge.

“Hey Knucklehead, you mentioned treasure.” Rouge replied. “I figured I could always follow you around and steal it from you after you find it; but that’s a pain, so I’d rather just help you find it.”

Knuckles sighed and leaned against the edge of the boat.

“Enough; we don’t need to argue. We are all after the same thing.” Tikal, the third and final person on the boat, said in a passive-aggressive voice.

“Yeah red, we don’t need to argue.” Rouge smirked with a devious smile on her face.

Knuckles shook his head. “Are you there yet?”

“Yes.” Tikal replied.

“Yes? Wow, no one ever says ‘yes’ to ‘are we there yet’?” Rouge laughed. The boat landed on the edge of an island, and the three got off.

“So where’s the creep who sent us the message?” Rouge asked.

“No clue.” Knuckles shook his head.

AGodofIrony - December 19, 2005 07:30 AM (GMT)
"So they're here too," Bannor muttered, getting orders from Nack. He made his way to Team Treasure Hunt, who was in the docks.

Taking a quick teleportation pad, he made his way there and walked to the Team.

"Greetings Team Treasure Hunt. My name is Bannor, and I will guide you to the main building so we can begin the tournament," Bannor said, giving a crisp nod, and not seeing if they were paying attention, made his way back to the teleportation pad and went off, waiting for them to follow.

GoldenSama - December 19, 2005 07:45 AM (GMT)
"Well he has patience." Rouge commented sarcastically, then she followed Bannor.

Knuckles shook his head; but a moment later he found Tikal was following Bannor too, so he sighed, shrugged and he followed along as well.

(OMIGAWD this is a crappy post... but it's 1:46am...)

AGodofIrony - December 19, 2005 09:35 PM (GMT)
Bannor led them to another part of the gravel looking floor leading to the main building. As Team Treasure Hunt followed, he discreetly pushed a button on his sleeve.

Tubes, much like the ones Team Stellar Alpha and Team Stellar Beta were subject to came flying from the ground, capturing Knuckles, Rouge, and Tikal.

The three sped down the high speed tubes, being uncermoniously dropped in a heap in a dark cavern.

Tink, tink, tink. The sound seemed to be coming from all directions. The lights flooded on, and Team Treasure Hunt found themselves surrounded by a robot horde.

HellAvatar - January 3, 2006 04:25 PM (GMT)
The same thing happened to Team Stellar Alpha.

A small horde-size of robotic monstrosities faced them suddenly, as the lights blinked on and allowed the trio to finally see normally. Nite was not expecting this, since the robots were somehow shielded from his pryings, and he was taken aback by the numerous metallic enemies that suddenly seemed to pop out of nowhere.

"Whoa!"

And then came the lasers and bullets, making Stellar Alpha scatter like ninepins. Nite went straight up as usual, Solar blasted through the left, and X13 boosted to the right, all trying to dodge the numerous shots coming at them.

It took them a little while to gather their wits while still dodging.

Nite was the first to recover, and he sent a blast downwards, squishing a bot where it stood. It was only one though, and 10 took it's place.

"Hey! Stellar! Regroup! Attack in formation!"

X13 and Solar both heard that, and it snapped them out of a ddging trance that they were in. X immediately went back, right arm turning into a high-caliber cannon and blasting holes in the nearest 4 robots, scattering the rest that surrounded him and letting him move freely back into position.

Solar took his time though. He liked a good fight, and this was one. Nite snapped him out of it, but Solar was not about to just go and enter formation. HE started zipping around like a yellow lightning bolt, striking any robot in his way with his little dagger, cutting them apart before they knew it and could register it.

Nite sighed as he saw Solar zip by. The guy never listened...

At least he opened their formation up a bit. Solar's attacks gave time for Nite and the nanite construct to set up a defensive, and Nite was already working on bots with his psychic powers, transforming those powers into a staff and smashing any robot that dared get too close.

For the ranged attack, there was X. The nanite construct has already morphed his arms into twin laser cannons, and was now playing "shoot the moving target" with the robots that attacked them. Blast after blast came out of X13s cannons, and robot after robot blew into smithereens.

Finally, a shockwave from Nite took care of the rest of the bots, slamming them into the walls so hard it caused them to squish, and that caused them to explode in turn.

"Well..."

Nite landed back on the ground from the 2 inches he was hovering in the air in.

"That was fun... Even though a little unexpected. Solar?"

"Whooo! Whoever that guy was, he better watch his arse, cause we just beat the CRAP out of his little army!"

"Hey, Solar..."

Nite was looking around again, probing for any abnormality.

"You know... I think this was a test. To show our strength."

"We did very poorly though," said X13 from the sidelines who was trying to find new weaponry to copy from, and copied several weapon types from the destroyed robots already.

"Yes... We were taken by surprise."

"For the first time in a while, eh, Nite?"

Nite nodded, chuckling.

"Yup. Guess my vacation's still not over. Come on! We've got to get a move-on before somebody decides to send another group against us."

And they moved out again, down the corridor, and through a door into a very well-lit and well-furnished room that was the waiting room. It blinded Nite for a second, but he saw that they were not alone in this quite-big room, and that 3 contestants were already there...

(Yay! Now we got interaction between two Teams...)

“Hey,” Tails whispered to Shadow as Team Stellar Alpha came into the room, “Another Team.”

Shadow turned slowly, wondering who to expect. He paused.

“Nite?!” He shouted, running up to the cathog. “What are you doing here? You got invited?”

“Hey,” Tails said, flying up to the others, and nodding. He noticed X13, and his inventor’s curiosity got the better of him. “Wow! What are you made of? How do you work? Who built you?”

Big merely stood in the corner, nodding and smiling happily at the three new arrivals.

“So Team Unlikely and Team Stellar Alpha have made it past the test so far,” Metal Sonic II muttered, clicking his metallic fingers against the wooden desk. Tails Doll continued to sit on a chair in the corner, not making any sound.

A crackle came over the radio, and Nate’s voice sounded out. “Okay, all the zones are set up, and the Chaos Emeralds are in place. You’re darn lucky you’re paying me for this, cause otherwise those Emeralds would be gone.”

“And the fact that if anyone tries to get off this island without my permission instantly has a targeting missile launched at them has nothing to do with this?” Metal Sonic II responded, giving a robot’s version of a grin.

“Minor detail,” Nack answered back. “Anyways, I’m heading back to base. And once your plan works and we take care of these guys, I can get the rest of the Chaos Emeralds, right?”

“Sure, sure. Just as long as this works out, you can have the Master Emerald if we come across it for all I care,” Metal Sonic II sighed. He had been forced to work with Nack out of necessity, and he still couldn’t exactly remember why Tails Doll had come into the picture. They did what was asked of them however, and that was all that mattered to Metal Sonic II.

(The plot thickens...)

"Hoooo! Shadow! Never expected to see YOU here... And teamed up with Tails and BIG... Sheesh, what were you THINKING anyways? "

"As usual, about his own arse in the forefront," Grumbled Solar from the side.

"Solar! Shut your yap before I shut it for you."

"Fine, fine..."

Solar zipped up to the wall and started to study the map of the area.

And X13 was taken aback by Tails's assault.

"Whoa, hold it, Tails! I'm made of the same stuff I was made of before. I'm just a constantly shifting mass of Nanites. Of course, combined with Desty Nova's Karmaton theory and uses, as well as data storage on a nanoscopic level, I am capable of morphing my body. That's the basics. How're you, Tails?"

And so started the casual chatting, the checking of maps, and the planning that Nite took all upon himself. He was the planner, the tactician. So he was doing his job.

And talking to Shadow at the same time.

"So how DID you get invited anyways?"

AGodofIrony - January 4, 2006 03:33 AM (GMT)
Shadow shrugged. "I'm with them well, long story short. Alien menace. needed Team Sonic. Sonic had the flu, and Knuckles had to guard the Master Emerald from Rouge. Found me, Omega was rampaging about Amy's house for some reason, and Big was the only one we could get, cause the Chaotix were off somewhere. I grew fond of these two, believe it or not, though Big still gets on my nerves."

Tails nodded to X13. "Oh yeah...Sorry...Forgot there! I'm okay. Little shaken up about that robot attack though."

Shadow continued talking to Nite. "I suppose we got invited because of saving the world. And besides, Tails is certainly more then tolerable once you get to know him. He's a good kid. Big...He may be a little slow, but he'll do the right thing. Though the whole 'Where's Froggy?' thing can get annoying."

Big waddled up to Solar. "Hello! My name is Big. What's yours?"

HellAvatar - January 5, 2006 04:15 PM (GMT)
Solar looked up at Big's face and scoffed.

"None of your business, fatso."

Nite shot a glare at Solar right at that moment.

"What? It isn't, really!"

"Solar, that was NOT polite at all. You gotta learn some diplomacy, man. Try to talk to people sometime. And talk normally instead of srugging them off. It helps, especially when you lead..."

"Lead negotiations with either a potential ally or a potential enemy, I know. But in this here situation, this big furball already knows my name."

"Uhh... No he doesn't, Solar... This is the first time he's seeing you and the other way around."

"Huh? Oh... Well, I guess so... Nite, sometimes I hate you for what you say. Fine."

Solar turned back to Big, and looked up at the giant cat's face again.

"Name's Solar. And that's all you need to know."

"SOLAR!!!"

"Whaaaaat?"

X13 looked at the word fight (better definition: brotherly merc squabble) that was going on, and looked back over to Tails, shrugging his shoulders.

"They're always like this... They fight like a true team and back each other up all right, but... Once in peacetime, they are at each other's throats almost all the time. I don't understand them sometimes, but I guess this is part of what they are and were born to do... I've NEVER seen Nite argue like this with anyone else..."

Solar glared at Nite and Nite glared at Solar.

And they glared, and glared, and glared... Until both couldn't hold it anymore, and both suddenly burst into a fit of laughter. Both clutched at their stomachs, and their laughter was getting harder by the second. It was like they shared some sort of an inside joke by staring at each other.

X was looking at both of them, shaking his head and shrugging his shoulders. Sometimes, he just couldn't understand that pair...

(Survive RP! Surviiiiiiiiiiiive!)

"Robot horde? If that fat sonovamonkey Eggman betrayed ME!" Rouge grumbled.

"We should argue about this at a less dangerous time." Tikal advised the other female.

"Geez Knucklehead, she's got some mouth on her. Actin' all well behaved..." Rouge commented to the red echidna.

"Both of you, enough. Let's drop these bots." Knuckles cracked his fists, and then jumped forward, slamming his gloved echidna claws into one of closest robots, sending his fist through the chest of the robot. Knuckles then punched it's head with his other hand, completely taking that robot down.

Rouge jumped into the air, floated for a second, and then drop-kicked one of the robots in it's eye with her steel tipped boots, annihilating its sensors and sending it falling down.

Tikal closed her eyes, and roots came out of the ground grabbing a couple of robots and crushing their legs. However, Team Treasure Hunt was still severly outnumbered.
