Dreamland

A pair of sapphire eyes watch me
Watch me from above
Watch me all the time
Protect me from despair
Hold me close
Keep me warm
She watches me from heaven
Praying that I will be safe
Hoping her sacrifice was not in vain
She waits for me to come to her

Dull aqua eyes are closed in despair
Tears flowing freely from my eyes
Trickling down my face
As my one true love
My hope
My faith
Was taken away in a moment of pain

Now I am alone
No matter what I wish to believe
She is not coming back
But she will be by my side again
Here to hold me close
Here to keep me warm
Here to tell me everything will be all right
In my dreams

The moment I close my eyes I will see her again
The moment I start to dream I will see
Her calm smiling face
Gentle eyes
She will tell me everything will be all right
And if I stay in my sweet dreamland long enough
I may share a kiss with her
