Title: FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST
Description: All you could ever want to know.
BlueRush - October 9, 2005 02:20 PM (GMT)
If you were an Alchemist...
-What would your State Alchemist title be? The ____ Alchemist
-What kinds of things would you do with your power?
GoldenSama - October 9, 2005 10:21 PM (GMT)
If I were an Alchemist...
Hmm...
Well, given my love of swords, and the fact that I'd constantly be transmuting things into swords, I'd reckon I'd want to be called "The Blademaster Alchemist."
Actually, I like fire more than swords, but Mustang's already got that title, doesn't he? Bloody Mustang...
What would I do with my power? Transmute an army of Homunculi to take over the world! MWAHAHAHA!
No, actually.... Well, since transmuting Gold is against the law, I'd open a repair shop, and fix things for people as a job. Good way to make a quick buck. ^^
BlueRush - October 9, 2005 11:52 PM (GMT)
Dude, "the Blademaster Alchemist" is WAY cooler than "the Flame Alchemist". That name rocks. ^_^
*ish killed by teh chopsticks*
If I were an alchemist.... hmm, I might go for the Azure Alchemist, because my favorite color is blue. XD I'd do boring things with me power. That's it.
You know how when you just sat down after a hard day and want to watch TV, but the remote is four feet away and you have to get up yet again? No prob! Draw an alchemy circle and a hand made out of the floor will carry it over to you!
Or maybe you're late to class and there's a huge crowd of kids in your way? Never fear! Just alchemise a bridge over top of them and walk over! XD
Yep, that's me. The power to turn anything I want into anything else (except humans, apparently there's some kind of issue with that or something  ) and I'd use it to make forks and stuff.
GoldenSama - October 10, 2005 12:17 AM (GMT)
Azure Alchemist, huh? Cool.
The problem with Human Transmutation is there is no real equvelant exchange for a human soul. Ed thinks, as a child, that some of his blood is a fair trade -- but obviously that was no-dice.
HOWEVER -- as we know, Tucker transmuted his wife (and eventually Nina, and then himself) into Chimera form, so it is possible to transmute humans and animals into other creatures... though if you recall what happened to Tucker, why would you WANt too? O.o
Dude, those aren't boring things. That would be handy Alchemy. ^^ I dunno, I'd probably get a bunch of sets of gloves with different circles on them, so I didn't have to waste time drawing one. I just put on the right glove.
... Hmm...
*BANG!*
Oops, I thought that was my "transmute into flan" glove, but I guess it was my "blow stuff up" circle. Heheh... sorry dude. XD
Although with a Philosphere's Stone you can break the rules and transmute humans.
And you know what I never got? Gran DID transmute himself. He transmuted the iron in his blood! That's how he got his name, "Iron-Blood". What's his excuse? I know in Ishbal he had one of Marcoh's fake Red Stones, but what about post-Ishbal? Did he just stop doing his signature trick? O.o
BlueRush - October 10, 2005 12:31 AM (GMT)
Heh, I never saw that part. X_O All I've seen him do is PWN Ed upside the head after the Tucker thing. But I know what you mean. It totally breaks all the rules.
Maybe since the idea is so simple he can do it: take blood out, put it back in, and he's not trying to put together bodily systems or anything.
Or maybe they just cheated. :P XD
GoldenSama - October 13, 2005 03:00 PM (GMT)
Come to think of it, he did that in a Flashback to the Ishbal War, and during Ishbal he, and all the other State Alchemist, had "red" stones made by the Crystal Alchemist. So maybe that's how he was able to do it.
Kimiko - October 15, 2005 08:56 PM (GMT)
Hm..if I were an alchemist....I'd have powers that would have to do with controlling time, so I gues meh title would be like Teh Clockwork Alchemist, or teh Time Stop Alchemist...or something.
What I would DO with meh powers? I'd go back in time whenever I broke or forgot something, but I'd never use it to stop someone from dying or something, cuz Izumi would totally kick meh ass. XD I guess I'd only go back in time to change things that need to be changed....
HellAvatar - October 15, 2005 09:24 PM (GMT)
Kimiko: Chrono Alchemist.
GS: Blademaster Alchemist sounds so... Outdated. Nevertheless, I cannot think of a better one at the moment. When I find one less cliched, I'll tell you. If you wanna keep "Blademaster", I'm cool with that. It just sounds so... Old and used to me...
BR: Azure Alchemist??? THAT is a good one. I lkike the name, though the power itself needs a bit of refining... XD
As for myself... Hmm... Human transmutation is impossible... Blades are taken... Time is taken...
So guess I will go with...
FLAN ALCHEMIST!!! Just kidding... XD
I'm gonna be a bastard though and go with "Replica" Alchemist, with the power to replicate and copy any move or alchemic trick the enemy uses. Also, the capability to negate the enemy's alchemic circle, thus annoying them by making them unable to cast. XD
BlueRush - October 15, 2005 09:37 PM (GMT)
Actually, I thought 'Blademaster' was much cooler than 'Azure'. ^_^; But thanks HA!
Teh Clockwork Alchemist! :D That's great! XD Might not be possible, but um.... >.> If Ironblood can break laws so can we, right? XD
Mist Falcon - October 15, 2005 10:23 PM (GMT)
i'd guess I'd be..... Huggles- Shadow- to- death-and -then -he -uses -Chaos Blast -on- Me Alchemist.
really, i think i'd like sumethin to do with.....ice. or water. both.
Kimiko - October 15, 2005 10:33 PM (GMT)

Silly CHoW, rules were MEANT to be broken! XD
GoldenSama - October 16, 2005 12:05 AM (GMT)
*Shrugs* So what? I like Blademaster...
Oh, and HA, just so you know, Alchemy is a science, not a magic. Replicating someone elses Alchemy is simple, it's just a matter of drawing the circle they use. You should probably pick something different, cause, well, anyone could do what you're saying.
And... messing with a transmutation circle also is something anyone can do. Although VERY dangerous. That's like shooting a gun at a box of TNT. If someone is trying to use alchemy, and you break their circle, the result would be.... bad. Very bad. Like licking a wall plug bad. Although some transmutation circles could NOT be negated, like teh ones on Roy or Armstrong's gloves, since they're in the glove, and impossible to break unless you break the actual glove...
Anyway, just saying. O.o
Kimi... Time. Cool. That reminds me of something from Episode Fifty and Fifty One, but I better not say for spoiler reasons...
Kimiko - October 16, 2005 01:47 AM (GMT)
Wow, I'd be like that old show, "Time Squad." You know, with Otto and Larry and Tyrustle....
GoldenSama - October 18, 2005 12:02 AM (GMT)
What do my fellow FMA fans think is the best homunculi?
BlueRush - October 18, 2005 12:09 AM (GMT)
Lust or Greed?
Lust or Greed?
Lust or Greed?
Lust or Greed?
Agggh! X_X I can't decide. Lust is so manipulative, yet can handle herself... the perfect villan... but Krev- err, Greed is sooooo cool, not really good or evil, just working for himself...
They all rock! :3
*cough*exceptforthatHugheskiller*cough*
GoldenSama - October 18, 2005 12:16 AM (GMT)
I can't choose between Lust or Pride.
Lust is top notch in every way, but Pride...
well, in the manga Pride (who is Wrath in the manga, but Pride in the anime) is AWESOME. The way he kills ______ is so cool.
BlueRush - October 18, 2005 12:22 AM (GMT)
;_; I don't know who. X_X
Got no idea.
Hmm.... I think I'll go with......
GS, can you change it so we have two choices? XD
GoldenSama - October 18, 2005 12:25 AM (GMT)
It won't let me change it. X_X
BlueRush - October 18, 2005 01:22 AM (GMT)
I voted Greed.... because Lust is already kind of assumed awesome. :D
GoldenSama - October 25, 2005 08:53 PM (GMT)
Well, I'll vote Pride.
While I agree Lust is awesome, I just LOVE that fight between Pride and _____.
Okay. Just as I was making my "Why is Sonic afraid of the water" topic, I remember last night on FMA... "All Is One, One Is All" episode.
Ed says he can't swim. Whether this is because of the metal limbs, or just because he never learned how, I don't know.
What I DO know, is in the episode with Siren the thief, Ed went underwater when he was trying to stop her.
So... if he can't swim, why did he go underwater? And how did he survive underwater if he can't swim?
Obviously the automail didn't rust, because he never went back to Reesembrool for new automail after his fight with Siren. And obviously he didn't drown. So why does he claim to not be able to swim in the episode when he and Al repeat their training with Izumi, as shown last night on Adult Swim?
BlueRush - October 25, 2005 10:04 PM (GMT)
;_; I never saw that episode. X_X Can't help ya.
....Plot hole? O.O
J0HA - October 27, 2005 12:38 AM (GMT)
Voted for Lust. Go figure :D
As for alchemy powers... The um... Ninja Alchemist?
Jay kay. I'd probably want something with the element of ice XD
GoldenSama - October 29, 2005 09:28 PM (GMT)
XD. What a shock. XD XD
I voted for Pride, but now I'm wishing I had gone Greed.
Greed pwns.
Well... Pride pwns too, but... I like 'em both. XD
Clown Prince of Crime - November 12, 2005 02:40 AM (GMT)
Ah, alchemy. In real life it is but a dead science that gave way to the more accurate science known as chemistry. In fma, however, it is the science that makes you feel like magic. So, if I were an fma alchemist (fullmetal alchemist alchemist... bet that sounds redundant), then I'd like to have the basic transumiting that Ed does, plus... dammit, I don't wanna seem like a copycat... but, ya, I want ice, too. -_- Joha, you just had to get ahead of me.
Ice + Transmuting = 1337
HellAvatar - November 12, 2005 02:45 AM (GMT)
Hmm... An alchemist that specifies in an element or something like that...
Well... Not metal...
What about the Sun? Solar Alchemist.
Specifies in controlling solar energy and transforming lightwaves into something that can either help or harm.
Think lightsaber...
Will that work?
GoldenSama - November 12, 2005 02:55 AM (GMT)
Umm...
HA, I do not know how well that would work. Alchemy is science; the study of the elements. Not fire and ice, but elements like in chemisty -- like iron, carbon, ect.
I'm not saying it wouldn't work, I just don't know how you'd get solar power from the earth's elements when the sun is not a part of the earth. Maybe it could work; but I do not know.
I recommend everyone visit
THIS website; which has a lot of info on Alchemy, Transmutation Circles, and the like.
The site also has info on several episodes of the series, and info on the movie that's coming out next year. But DON'T READ THE MOVIE INFO IF YOU DON'T WANT
SERIOUS SPOILERS! A warning to you all.
Clown Prince of Crime - November 12, 2005 02:58 AM (GMT)
No ice, eh? ;_;
Ah, well, transmuting is still good enough. Just being able to change things on alchemic level is good enough for me.
But still, maybe I'd connect mini-fridges to my back and to combine ice with my alchemy or something. ^_^;
GoldenSama - November 12, 2005 04:47 AM (GMT)
Silly Spoony!
There IS a transmutation symbol for ice; it's just never been seen. How do I know? In the episode with Clause, when she is rolling towards the lake, Ed transmuted the lake into ice; remember?
Ed doesn't NEED a circle, of course; but if there was no alchemic circle for ice, Ed couldn't have done it. So even though there's no ice on that site, there HAS to be a symbol for ice; because if you can transmute something, then somewhere, there is a symbol for it. :D
And great news! Fullmetal Alchemist: Conqueror of Shambala is a theatrical feature that premiered in Japan in July 23, 2005, and acts as a continuation of the Fullmetal Alchemist television series. The Japanese DVD is scheduled to release on January 25, 2006, including a limited edition with a special box, english subtitles and a series of other extras.
BlueRush - January 17, 2006 09:56 PM (GMT)
 !!!!!!!!!!!
They're releasing the series ender... BEFORE the series ends?! Oh wait... in Japanese with subtitles. O_O;
Anyway, this is awesome. Thanks for the update, GS. ^_^ *scrapes money together*
GoldenSama - January 17, 2006 09:58 PM (GMT)
I'm gonna buy it on ebay if I can find it. :D
Gotta see dah movie!

Now, back to discussion! If Alphonse Elric was a State Alchemist, what would his State Title be?
It would greatly help with a fanfic if I had some suggestions. All I can think of is the "Steel Alchemist" on accounta the armor thing, but in the fic he is Post-Armor, so that doesn't really work...
Sailor N - February 27, 2006 04:25 AM (GMT)
Himmm...How about, Post metal?
AGodofIrony - February 27, 2006 04:34 AM (GMT)
Quite simple I think...
'The Armored Alchemist'
I would like to read said fanfic as well!
BlueRush - February 27, 2006 10:20 AM (GMT)
I read that too... but I prefer "The Immortal Alchemist."
'Armored' was even in the manga as a joke (it was going to star Al because Ed was useless or something) but I think Immortal is more appropriate because, well, he won't be wearing the armor, will he? x_o
Plus, he's escaped death so many times...
So, yeah. "Immortal" is what I would use. ^_^ I must have gotten it from somewhere... or maybe I made it up.
GoldenSama - February 27, 2006 05:59 PM (GMT)
Thanks guys. The said fanfic (which is titleless right now) is almost done with chapter one, and I'll post it on the Non-Sonic Fanfic Section before I post it on FFN and MMO; mainly cause I need title suggestions.
ANYWHOMS -- I don't know what I'll go with right now. "Postmetal" is good, but sounds too much like Ed's name. "Armored" is also good; 'cept he's out of the armor now, so I dunno. I like "Immortal", but I'm not sure. Oh well, I have a whole other chapter before I need to make a decesion.
So... yeah. The fanfic will be posted v. very soon. Just gotta smooth the edges...

WW2 propaganda with FMA?
I found it amusing.

Actually, this forum has a rule of "only one topic per series", so if you wanted to talk about FMA, you have no choice but to post in this topic. :p
I'd say the subject matter of your topic is more what I'd say is questionable. :heh:
Still, nice reference to a classic Donald Duck cartoon! XD
