Okies, since meh scanner was hooked to David's comp, I've been able to scan something really quick before goin' ta bed! Yesh, Kimi-chan's art ish here! :D

Dis ish teh first of (hopefully not very many, I wanna get it done right teh first few times) teh Team Stellar Design pages I've made. It was teh very first I'd made after workin' with everything HA gave me and what I was able to find in teh Nite's GF/TS creation contest. I will be posting teh seperate design pages tomarrow, one for each member of Team Stellar.

Now, before posting and leaving again, I must point out dat I haven't been able to come up with a very good design for Kayhat, since I couldn't find BR's entry of her in HA's contest. I'll be closer to that if HA decides to help me out with her. Because of this, she is not in this pic.

I guess X13 cause, well it says X13 on him.
We all know what Nite looks like, so Nite has to be teh dark one on accounta dah black fur.
Solar has all the spines, so he's next.
I'm 99.9% that numbah four is Starlite.
Then, I'd say Luna, cause you said Kayhat ISN'T in the pic, so it hasta be Luna cause the only other girls are Starlite and Chakra!
And finally; Chakra! On accounta she has a shinobi-ish outfit on, and Chakra was named after 'chakra' from Naruto. :3

Now that I've posted them, I shall go into teh design of each character! First up, Rea:

To this (unless HA wants me to change her, though I think he'll like her design as she is):

Ever since CR's character was accepted into HA's team, she's been their combat specialist, which means she's gotta be tough. So I made sure that while drawing her, I kept that aspect in mind and made sure she would LOOK tough. SHe has to be one of meh favorite characters... she's so much fun to draw! X3 I can draw her from heart at any moment of teh day, her design ish so much fun!

Gotta go, but I'll tell more about meh adventure of drawing Rea once I touch up X13's page a bit (since I AM an official Rea/X13 fangirl).

I've been waiting for this.

I love the ninja look for X13. It's near-perfect.

I've not imagined him to be a ninja, but... Hey, it works!

Nite and Solar look their usual badass selves, although I like the touch of Nite's staff. It makes him look cooler, and always keeps a weapon close by, however blunt.

Chakra looks like a ninja SHOULD look, Rea is the badass lady on the team and then there is Starlite... Who can think that one such as that could blow planets away?

You outdid yourself, Kimi. You REALLY outdid yourself.

CRITIQUE!!! Smile, everyone!

*gets clobbered with bricks*

But let's start it up.

First, the pictures are good. VERY good. But they were all drawn with an unsharpened pencil. Yes, I have noticed. Some of the lines are blurry. The faces are sometimes hard to fully make out, not to mention the bodies. I know it is your style to draw the bodies small and the feet big and it adds a certain style.

Second, Solar's tail. It's actually more like a club with outward-sticking spikes, not just spiny.

Third, back to X. This makes him look cool, and I bet that the colored version, if there will ever be one, will look even cooler, but I tried to make this guy smightly more human by giving him the actual facial features of a mobian.

Fourth, Starlite. She looks a bit TOO naive. Seriously. She's not exactly the naivew alien type. She is the accepting, tomboy alien who can kick anyone's ass without protest. She looks absolutely fine like that, but it's a very unusual pose for Starly.

Except for those little marks, I do not see any other errors except in the style design itself, and that is purely subjective since this is the rapidverse after all.

An amazing amount of work put into this, Kimi. Thank you. Thank you. And thank you again.

1.) I hadn't intended for X13 to end up lookin' like a ninja, it just sorta happened, I guess. XD And I'll be happy to fix up some facial features this weekend. :3
2.) >< Yeah, I started to doubt Starlite's look after a while, too. SHe gave off TOO much of teh Starfire vibe, while Starlite should look at least half as tough as she is (if not more). I'll work on that, too.
3.) I'm SO glad you like Rea, because I didn't even change much on her orginal design, and I couldn't imagine drawing her any other way. Same with Chakra.
4.) Solar's tail. Needs to be fixed. Got it. :)

Now... to get a better pencil! ^_^;

With meh unexpected trip to teh mall on Saturday (I got a GIR shirt and Volume 9 of Naruto!), I didn't get as much done this weekend as I wish I had (but I have a dentist appointment to get meh cavities filled on Tuesday, and I may not go back to school for the rest of dat day, in which case I'll do some art then, too), but I DID take HA's advice and redid Rea and Chakra's profile pics.


HA, I took your advice about makin' teh feet smaller... meh art's made some kind of huge breaktrough! :D I'm not sure if anyone can tell me what Jinsei Iroiro means... but flan and cake for anyone who can! THe smaller pics are just random...

Because Kay would be hilarious. She's the female version of Bean the Dynamite, only more psyched and obsessed.

If you will draw those others, I'd be extremely grateful. It's up to you, though.

So far, so good. Rea and Chakra are perfectly drawn, and Chakra looks even better in the ninja outfit. But don't make X look too much like a nonja, please? He is a bit too heavy for that... After all, he DOES weigh over 350 pounds of solid nanite mass... XD

I'll make sure to pester you on your request board from time to time too.

Now, for character design rant!

Well, to start off, I had to change teh outfit BR had orginally given her. I hope you would agree, HA, that she needed something... else. The design on teh shirt was suppose to be somewhat of an explosion-type design thingamajig. I gave her three sticks of dynamite, a belt that holds stuff (like teh pocket for her special explosive, the one that can blow an entire island... and it's so small!), and a bomb. THat enough for ya? XD As for teh smaller pics... I remember how much I love old cartoons that have the character holding a stick of dynamite without realizing that the fuse is almost out... and then it explodes in their face, leaving them in a smoldering state of cartoony aftershock... there will never be time when that ISN'T funneh!
As for colors, I will keep her in her original color format. Oranges, yellows, and tan-ishness... if I ever get around to coloring it; X13 is still in progress! ;_;

(I can't believe I haven't commented on these yet...)

Awesome artwork! They all really seem to capture more than just design in them, but some personality of the characters as well. Very Nice Work!!
