Hopefully they will stick with the name because it sounds pretty darn cool--but as of now it is subject to change. I wonder if they will show us any of the storyline...

I think it's going to be quite interesting. I don't know about the control setup (due to the Wiimote), but it could potentially be really really fun. Plus it's pure Sonic, which I know some people here may not like (though setting it up like Sonic Advance 1+2 where you can pick different characters to play as in the same levels would be a nice option), but it should let it go back to how Sonic used to be. Plus, it'll probobly be the only next-gen Sonic game I'll be able to get without selling my car.

Anywayz....Since that was completely off topic, let me say something that fits...

Inside the 14 second demo, we saw Sonic running, 00ber fast of course, through a spikey field for about...2 seconds. Is it just me, or do those spikes look REALLY big?

You can also get the clip alone, I dunno where though. Try searching Sonic on Gamespot and going to the Wii version of it.

I'm not too interested in Wild Fire, though I'm only getting it because it's Sonic and since Next Gen will not be on Wii.

"Sonic 2006," that game with Soleanna and Weight-Watchers Eggman, is often referred to as "Sonic Next-Gen." ^_^ WildFire is the Sonic "next-gen(eration)" game for the Wii system, but "Sonic Next-Gen/Sonic 2006" will not be appearing on it. ^_^

I agree with that thing what just got said and stuff. ;P Sonic WildFire does not appeal to me much, yet if I were to buy a Wii, I would get it anyway. As I said once before somewhere: Equivalent Exchange means Sonic Team's effort was put into Sonic 2006, not Sonic WildFire. :[ So I expect a mediocre plot for the latter, but excellent gameplay. :D WildFire's gameplay is of great interest to me; I think it'll be great.

PS3=doomed. Overpriced, too high-tech for its own good, losing everyone fast.

But sadly, I doubt I'll be getting this. Sonic in the 3D they've had so far just doesn't seem to work for me.

I mean, the new ones are like the same as the old ones, but in 3D.

They need to realise this and revolutionise before its too late.

That is actually kind-of an ironic line, actually, since Wildfire/whatever-it's-called-now is for the system once known as "Revolution". :LOL:

The good thing about this one, is that it really sounds like it's going to be quite different from the SA-style games that have been almost every 3D Sonic title since Sonic Adventure. The controls are going to be quite differnt, and the story (as far as I know about it) is something different for Sonic, as well

Revolution = Wii. It's the same thing.

WildFire = Sonic and the Secret Rings. It's also the same thing.

Sonic and the Secret Rings = From what I hear, it's a almost "Arabian Nights" type thing. There's Sonic and a Genie and some other stuff. Not much new info, except I hear the controls with the Wiimote are supposed to be awesome. Sadly only Sonic is playable, and it sounds like Knuckles, Tails, Amy, Shadow, Rouge, Eggman, ect... might not even be in the game. >_>

I thought Eggman was gonna be in it... hmmm. As for the others, I actually don't mind a game with only Sonic playable. I don't want it to become a habit, but I do find it refreshing every now and then to concentrate on the hero of the series.

I have a theory!

I think that the crew will appear as characters in a books that Sonic is after. It makes sense, since this has never happened in a game before :3 The characters, probably wont recognize him but Sonic will immediately know them and ask for their help in saving whatever that needs to be saved XD

Of course that's just my theory

If this isn't as buggy as recent sonic-style 3d games have been, I've become even more interested in this game. It really seems like something that isn't the same old-same old, which the 3D series has needed for a while now.

Just kidding just kidding but guess what? I got the Nintendo Power magazine from a friend today and they had a three page of Sonic and the Secret Rings in it :3 I was totally right about the Tails, Knuckles, etc being characters from the books!!! FREAKIN AWESOME!!!

Tails is Ali Baba
Knuckles is Sinbad (and has new clothes XD)
Dr. Eggman is the king of Persia

Those are the only three they give but it's so cool! The main vilian Erazor is really cool looking as well

The article told of some more game mechanics and about what wont be in the game:

-No Shadow
-No Treasure Hunting
-No Craptastic Camera
-No Guns
-No Big the Cat XD

Apparently Sonic is constantly moving forward so the camera only stays at one angle. You steer, jump, and wind Sonic up for jumps and he does the annoying stuff automatically.

There are also TONS of extra (about 200 I think) which include 15th aniversary stuff, concept art, games, music, etc

The minigames also rock out loud. With 40 games using every part of the Wiimote it looks like we wont get bored! My favorite by reading the article is the one where you have to play a violin, flute, etc to music. You hold the Wiimote like a bow and hold your other arm like you were holding a violin!
