Okay, I want this board to grow as much as you guys do, but know that the main reason people go to a forum is to talk to a bunch of people. Meaning, the more people are here and active, the more people will come.

Thus, we enter the paradox: we are at a point where not enough people are here to get people we don't know to enter, even if they somehow get here. We need more people in order to get more people. We need groups of friends to come over and have fun.

Or maybe we just need word-of-mouth. For the initial kick-off, visitors should be able to come here and get something. Something useful- like large stores of music, or roms, or Sonic X episodes conveniently stored in one place. We're working on those things (Though if anyone has episodes that'd be totally awesome! ^_^ ), but need more.

Yes, we have fanfic writers and artists; yes, we have our own comics, RPs, lively discussions, a news ticker, cool smilies, neat Chaos Emeralds and ranks, soon a new layout thingy, etc. And stuff like that is the start of a great forum, and interesting to see. But nobody's going to come here to read our awesome stuff if seventy other people don't happen to be doing the same thing, do you know what I mean? So we need to get the word out there, really. And I can't think of more ways to do that.

Thus, I turn to you. Have any ideas to spiff this place up, make it more enticing to random visitors? Any ideas how to spead the word? (( I'm working on stuff, but first I need to think of a name.... >.< ))

Here's a place to start: we have eighteen members, but only really see about ten or so. Let's start with being interesting enough for them to start being active here.

EDIT: Ooh! I think I got an idea for that! Maybe a contest, we email the other 8 or so and invite them?

Perhaps we should make a contest! hmmmm about what I dunno, maybe drawing or writing, or making graphics.

That would be fun, and tempt people to come if we gave prizes. heh, hand out some flan while we're at it ^^

Hmm... well, I have an idea... I'll work on it later this afternoon. Methinks I might move my graphics request board from another, far less active board, to somewhere here, then provide a link at the old location. It adds something to the board and advertises. n_n

Well, I already put a link to the site in one of my fanfics that's rather popular, but as its a Teen Titans fics and not a Sonic fic, I'm not sure how many readers will show up. When I write a Sonic fic (which I am in the process of doing) I'll do the same thing.

Hey, CR, maybe you could put a link in your fanfic next time you update, since yours actually is a Sonic fic and more likely to attract new faces to the site.

Let's see... what else? Maybe those of us who have livejournals can look for Sonic communities on livejournal and advertise there. I'll be happy to do that later on, once I get some of my work done.

Remember that fanfic of yours? Posion, I think it was called. Next time you write a new chapter, maybe in your author's notes you could advertise the forum there. I'm sure some of your fans would take a look at the place.

I mean, I was able to attract three people to the forum using my Teen Titans fanfic (even though two of them haven't posted yet. O.o) And if a Teen Titans fic can bring in people to a Sonic board, I bet a Sonic fic can bring in even more people!

And since your fic is awesomeness times ten, I'm sure lots of people will come. ^^

It depends on how large they be. If they're under 50 mb, try rapidshare. if they're over 50mb, I'd say megapuload. though megaupload doesn't work for me. T_T

^_^; well im on mega upload trying, its taking forever though...so I may not be able to finish before my dad returns.... arg... Well at least they will be getting up here....one episode at a time...

You have to make sure not to use those spaces inside the brackets.

There's an easier way, btw. Just click on the little box at the top here that says "http://" then when it asks for the url, put in http://s12.invisionfree.com/sonicthehedgehog. After that, it'll ask you for text. Just put the word "something". Then after that's done, click on the box that says "IMG" then put http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v226/ang...tar727/Amyb.bmp and once you've done that, cut all the code for the image, then highlight the word something and paste to replace that word with the code for the image.
