DOUJINSHI CHRONICLES

Imagine a circle. Now imagine that circle becoming a sphere, set against the background of space. This sphere is immensely huge, larger than you might be able to comprehend; for this sphere is several times larger than the planet Earth. It is over 90% water, and for the most part it is nothing but ocean.
However, strewn about this sphere are several continents. They range in size, from the tiniest island to the greatest land-mass. Due to the distance between them, these islands are in various states of development... but they all make up one world...
Imagine this world... this is Greater Gaia.

Now imagine a continent. It's a large continent, too. Imagine it's divided into sections. Moving clockwise, you start in the northwest, to the left and up; there you see a large city surrounded by miles of suburbs; this is Kyoto, a land ruled by an Emperor. To the northeast, there is a huge forest, extending out into a peninsula. In that forest and in the area around, the lands are divided up and ruled feudally by Shinobi Villages.
As you look south, the land gradually becomes a huge desert, extending out on a large peninsula of its own. This is the southeast, to the right and down; this is the Great Desert. Moving west, the southwest is a heavily protected country ruled by a fuhrer and seperated from Kyoto to the north by a small mountain range; this is Amestris.
In the center, there is a large forest; and to the far north there are mountains. Though other continents surround it, such as the land of the Earthbenders to the West and Hoenn to the East, this is the continent you should be concentrating on.
Imagine this continent... this is Kansai.

Imagine yourself in this world and on that continent. This is a place where some of the greatest modern legends come to life... this is the world of Japanese Anime and Manga, where the characters of one manga can thrive in their own environments and explore those of others. This is a new breed of crossovers where anything is possible...
Imagine yourself here... this is DOUJINSHI CHRONICLES.



Basically, this RP will concentrate on Japanese Anime and Manga. ("Doujinshi: a fanmade manga.) Primarily, the ones in the list below, although of course, please ASK if you want to include one that's not mentioned; it'll probably be accepted even if its status as "Japanese Anime and Manga" is iffy.
Additionally, it'll have a different direction than SW2. (Chronicles: rather than war, movement.) Rather than loads of characters and different places everywhere, due to the large distances we'll try to have a single group of main characters moving from place to place in specific "Volumes." Of course, of course, there will be more than one group, so location indicators will still be very much in use; but let's try a new style out. ^_^
At first, the maximum will be five characters, plus max of two supportives for each one. In addition to those five, you will also be allowed Evil characters and Storyline characters. We'll be fairly strict about these rules at first; emphasis on 'at first.'

Notes on Storyline Characters
Unlike Normal characters, who will be your main guys, and the Evil characters, who will act as bad guys, Storyline characters are characters who act to move the storyline along, and probably do not go through any development or even help in battle. Examples of these might include Yoda-like characters, characters whom 'you thought it would be nice if they showed up,' or evil goons with personalities.

As long as they don't stay around long, you are allowed to control non-personality nonentities without counting them as Storyline characters. For example, the guard who won't let you in someplace, the monster that attacks you randomly, or a man on the street. Again, these do not count as storyline characters.

By the same token, all other characters do. For example, I must include SILPHCO President, whom I will only be playing for a very short time, in my Storyline characters list.
By taking a character as a Storyline character, they automatically get a "B" rating, which means they are able to be taken if someone wants them as a main character. I think this is fair, since you don't like them enough to fit them in your Normal list, but the other person does.


In conclusion: have fun! :D This RP will be of a different style than SW2 or any other RP we've done so far. I hope to allow for the freedom of movement of SW2, since like there any character will be able to pursue any goal, yet still have structure and allow anime characters to have the benefit of their own environments to support them. I think this will be a fun RP if we can get into it! :D

He's a loving father and husband, and would put his family before himself any day of the year. He's a expert at throwing knives, and he seems to always have a photo of his daughter with him. Sadly, after discovering the existance of the Homunculi and figuring out that several things in the military didn't add up, he was murdered by Envy under a disguise. However, the story of Maes Hughes does not end with his TRAGIC death. Nope, because after his death -- oh I'm sorry, the rest of this is Classified. >:3

Additional Info: Byakuya Kuchiki is the 28th head of the noble Kuchiki clan, one of the four noble families in Soul Society. As such, Byakuya acts in an aristocratic manner - always being serene and apathetic about other people. Byakuya is possibly the strongest person in his clan's history. He claims that life in general isn't supposed to be entertaining, and even made up an idea for a game that wasn't meant to be amusing.
He wears the standard captain uniform along with a white headpiece called a kenseikan (symbolizing his noble rank as the head of the Kuchiki family) and a white scarf made by the master weaver, Tsujishirô Kuroemon III. The scarf is called ginpaku kazahana no uzuginu (lit. silver-white windflower light silk), and is a family heirloom handed down through the generations to the head of the Kuchiki family. Ten large houses can be built from the cost of just one of these.

Appearance: Leon is a rather large man towering over his opponents at about 6’5. His face is very distinctive with purple eyes and brown hair. He is usually found wearing many light colors that contradict first impressions.

Appearance: Kallen is about 5’9 with black hair and drak brown eyes. He wears tradition demon slayer attire along with a back kimono when battle pokemon.

Her arsenal of Ice Pokemon along with her water bending shows her age and wisdom. Lianna is also a healer of Pokemon and people alike in her city.
Appearance: Lianna is certainly old with gray hair, dark skin, and icy blue eyes. She wears the traditional water nation attire that is found throughout the nation.

TT is an americanime as far as I'm concerned. Characters from Japanese-made games like Xenosaga and Halo will be allowed, but plotlines and places from them probably will not appear... unless you make them appear. >:3 Final Fantasy counts, in fact it's on the list... because of its anime movie! >:3 And yes, I do mean Advent Children. Which was awesome. So awesome, Cloud might be my last character if nobody takes him, and since only AGoI is left... >:3

As for DP's question: yes... for the most part. ^^; The exception is Kansai. Here, five worlds are all mashed onto one continent: FMA, Naruto, Trigun, Inuyasha, and (probably) Bleach. I figured Kyoto's suburbs could contain Karakura Town? If not, I'm sure the Bleach crew could be traveling for some reason. ^_^;

Taking on Botan makes me wonder: is this world's afterlife more like FMA, YYH, or Soul Society? :o Even more creepy... will we find out? :o

Also: Chad and the Kurosaki family would probably be better off as Storyline characters. ^_^ Especially if you don't plan to use them much. Then Kon could be a supportive. Or Rukia could be your fifth main and Kon and Chad Ichigo's supportives...

EDIT: Actually, Rikku has appeared in the FF franchise, which has an 'anime' movie, AND the KH franchise, which has a manga. ;D AND, she's in games made by Japanese dudes. So she's triply approvable!

Xenosaga actually is an anime program (covering the basics of the first Xenosaga game, I believe), as seen in the first two links in my last post. And Halo technically isn't Japanese (Bungie is owned by Microsoft, and the game they made is only for Microsoft's system and computers; but just think of the books they made for that series as like manga, and there you go, it works {roughly}).

As for my super-duper ultra-important question, could the afterlife stuff be a combo of YYH and Bleach (and some FMA, too, I guess)?

Example: In Bleach, there is Soul Society, as well as the Hollow's world. In YYH, there is Spirit World, a seperate Demon World, and that "limbo" place younger Toguro asked to go to. FMA, well, I haven't a clue. There's a gate...

Now my proposal would be, that... Someone dies, and instead of being taken away like the ferry girls (re: Botan) of YYH, it's a shinigami who does this. The soul would then go to Soul Society or Hell. Soul Society itself would be very similar (with Rukongai and Seireitei), but Koenma and co. would be rulers above the Soul Society captains/Central 46 Chambers. Koenma's section would deal with matters involving stuff coming over from the seperate Demon World (and the making of "spirit detectives" and the like), as well as handing down judgements on where souls go. This would make ferry girls from YYH (like Botan) Bleach-type Shinigamis, just that they work directly under Koenma and Co and are more similar to YYH style stuff.

Now, to adapt FMA into this... Well, theres that gate, which in FMA, bridges to the Amestris world... Lets say that the gate would be where shinigami's send souls through (instead of floating through a blue portal, they go through the official FMA gate; anyway, Bleach's Hell is shown to be a gate in the first place, so this would work, in part, I guess), and instead of to Amestris, they go to Soul Society/Hell.

All of the "Truth" stuff involving the gate doesn't affect shinigami.

Alchemy like what the Elrics tried, involved opening the gate in the alchemic way, not in the process of reaping a soul, causing what happened to them.

Anything else about FMA gate stuff to be thought out about? (I don't really think so, since to my knowledge, FMA afterlife really isn't of huge importance to FMA, other than when the gate doesn't get accessed the proper way, as in how Ed and Al tried)

Sounds fine to me. It's a good way to crossover and combine those different afterlife things.

^_^ Happy to oblige. The Gate of Alchemy is basically the nexus between the FullMetal universe and our universe. It's where you go to die, and just like in Soul Society you're (eventually) reincarnated-- except in FMA you're reincarnated into a different universe. ^^;
Inside the gate are souls who haven't been reincarnated yet, Heartless-like black blobs that take body parts from alchemists brave/stupid enough to think they can try human transmutation (aka life-creation) without coughin' up some flesh.
Basically: it's the Gate between the Afterlife and the real world. ^_^ That's all.

GS, I'm guessing you are (or were) talking about something from Pirates of the Carribean? PotC is in Kingdom Hearts 2, so that could technically work (since someone said KH worked for this). Anyway, for recommendations... you could take Chad (though considering how popular he seems to be here, thats likely a no), or Renji (depending on how far into Bleach you actually are, now). I can't really think of anything else right now, after my brain fried itself from that wikipedia entry...

I've read the first eight chapters of Bleach, so I don't know who Abarai Renji is. I read about him on Wiki, but according to Wiki he's evil, so how could he be the last good guy? Besides, I'm still in the beginning of Bleach. Aside from Ichigo's family, the only people introduced are either already taken or don't have any powers so they're even less useful than Captain Sparrow.

Yeah, but he's a fiery guy who becomes worthy of the group's respect, and after the Soul Society arc starts training in Teh Shop for some reason, at least according to Wiki. After all, 'evil' is quite a relative term, especially when you consider Ichigo & Co. are invaders.

Sparrow would easily work better than everyone from Azumanga Daioh (to mention an anime BR added for some reason into the first post :p ), except for maybe that cat that always bites Miss Sakaki's hand... But really, he'd be good, I think.

Renji isn't evil, even though he starts that way.

Also, Chad has powers, just that you haven't gotten to that point in the story, yet. (his power is an armored arm that can fire really powerful energy blasts)

There was a reason, so that Aang and Sokka and Toph and co travel to the mainland because Ozai kidnapped Katara and sent her to the Fuhrer's country to lure Aang out of his hair long enough for the comet to come so he can become invincible. Although since I've come to dislike this idea, we can make Avatarland a actual part of the mainland if you want,

But seriously, I don't think I'll be able to fill up all five good guy slots, and I barely stand a shot at all of filling the two evil slots. Plus, I'm not sure if I want to have so many characters (sadly, if a couple were to have to go, they'd probobly be Cougar and Rikku, especially since kind-of-clones are being used in another RP, and their series are kind of isolated, compared with other characters)... I don't know, I have to think about this a bit... (but dropping Chado is very likely, as seen by his "C" rating, and I'm 70% on picking up Renji, only if absolutely no-one else takes him, as I don't want to become a Bleach monopoly on cool characters)

Not an edit, but close enough: Bleach timing -> after Soul Society Arc-style events, before Arrancar/Vaizard or Bounto stuff. No mentioning the huge SPOILER stuff that happened by the end of the Soul Society arc (at least until everyone has a fair chance to enjoy how good they made that plot). Seriously, I'll throw a constant barrage of bricks at anyone who says stuff about the other stuff that happened in the Soul Society arc (other than the Ichigo rescuing Rukia and everyone generally becoming friendlier to Ichigo and co. afterwards). I guess this'd be similar, in a way, to the Sealed Sword Frenzy OVA's timing (which isn't canon to either anime or manga, but is still cool none-the-less)
