:D BE-A-UTIFUL. :D
I looked at Pebble Version-- hilarious! XD I'll be sure to read those others too!
Dinosaur Comics - Ryan North
Dinosaur Comics, also known as Qwantz, rules your life. Plain and simple. Written by a COMPUTATIONAL LINGUIST. A
COMPUTATIONAL LINGUIST people! Perhaps I did not say that loud enough. This comic is genius, and bears mentioning twice even though AGoI mentioned it. XD That's how cool it is.
Shortpacked! - David Willis
The exclamation point is part of the title. That's just how he rolls. It's a comic about a toy store, wherein hilarity ensues at any and all times. It can be very PG-13, but I wouldn't call it "mature." More like "immature," sometimes. :p Seriously though, some funny stuff at times. Also, Roomies! and Joyce and Walky!, also available on that site, have similar humor. It's Walky!, though, has a real storyline including martians and SEMME. People die. It's what I recommend, seriously. Head Alien may be the BEST villan I have EVER SEEN. This is coming from a Sith Lord.
VG Cats - Scott Rasoomair
Dude. You know this one. Come on-- Samus, Master Chief, and a New Years Party gone wrong? Jenova's Witnesses? Lovely bunches of coconuts? The guy's awesome, even if his art has become a little chibi-ish lately. :\ Still, pwns.
AppleGeeks - Mohammed Haque and Ananth Panagariya
These guys have counteracted the chibi-ing syndrome by creating a second comic, AppleGeeks Lite, which allows them to be funny and chibi-ish, while still providing excellent art and storyline in the main comic, an ingenious and wise precedent. Start at #200; it really does rule. A diehard Apple fanatic, Hawk goes through cool adventures and stuff. Give it a chance.
BrainWrap Comics - Kyle Thiessen
YOU MUST READ THIS. Especially if you have now, ever had, or ever ever plan to have, a job. It never updates, and there's only a few; but, all the more reason to spend a few minutes on comic gold.
PPG/Grim Tales From Down Below - Bleedman
The ultimate crossover doujinshis, Bleedman uses his AWESOME art to combine all kinds of stuff. Great storyline too; this just rules.
Wiki's Lessons - Kier McFarlane
Funny little one-shot lessons. Definitely worth the read. XD Love the Monster Love series-- the ups, the downs, the monstery love! Pwns. Also: LITTLE ELEPHANT OF DEATH. 'Nuff said.
XKCD - Randall Munroe
A comic about math? Sometimes melancholy, sometimes philosophical, always witty and funny. Lineart, but genius writing.
Watermark - David Malki
An excellent comic, newly discovered by me. This is guest week, so here's one that looks like his usual work-- taking old pictures and arranging them, then writing stuff! Heh. Pretty good so far. Guest comic by OMFG PWNS.
Copper - Kazu Kibuishi
A wandering, calm comic that is funny and very excellent. A must-read.
Metroid: Third Derivative - Reynard
And lastly, an awesome sprite comic. This is in-depth with an excellent story and moderate-to-long story length, with semifrequent updates. Joey is the best sidekick ever. Also: SHOULDERMAN. You cannot deny the power of shoulders.
Also: InSONICnia. :)
And the rest...
Best Comics of 2005The Comics Curmudgeon - Joshua Fruhlinger
Because reviewing bad comics is just as funny (or funnier? :o) than reading good ones.
I check these DAILY. >:3 Look into them for your own health. The health of your SOUL.
