But in the english version they arent going to be married..Just live together..And the battle is for the gym badge....But it's still one of the cutest episodes

YES, Spoony, you should finish Ash & Friends, and NO, don't tone it down. ^_^ Do it the way YOU want too. Don't confine yourself to having to do certain things, it'll limit your creativity and the funness for you, and that'll reflect in your work and limit the fun-ness for us.

Edit: Yeah, okay I can see that being edited. Then again, turn it on MTV and it makes that look like the Brady Bunch, so it still seems pretty pointless.

It was just those 3 episodes... however, if I remember correctly, I think they were all originally all one big special, about the size of a movie, but was split into 3 parts for the American version. I'm not sure if that's right, but that's what I remember... I think...

Ya, they've all been flipped so as to be read like Western comics. Reading them the other way would confuse a person, I guess. XD

And in Pocket Monster Special (the manga I keep talking about), the girl known as Green in the American is known as Blue in the Japanese, because the boy (Gary) known as Blue in the American is known as Green in the Japanese... confused yet? Balrog to Vega, Vega to Bison, Bison to Balrog. Ha! Just thought I'd amuse myself and confuse more people in the process. At any rate, to avoid confusion, I just prefer to call that girl Ashley. :p

-It has to do with Ash ending his journey and Gary starting his own again
-Gary gives up being a reasearcher and returns to the training game
-Gary heads to the region where the Diamond/ Pearl game is set along with the new series which means they will probably be rivals!
-May and Max return home
-Brock returns home

Oh yeah! The Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Special and te New dub of Pokemon were both realeased on Friday...Took me awhile to comment eh?

Well Pokemon Mystery dungeon was very cute. A boy woke up to find that he was turned into a Squirtle. Apparently this is a theme to different versions as well. The manga follows the same premisis except its a boy name Genji (or something) who turns into a Torchic. The voices are cute, my personal favorite was a Pikachu's (who sounded like a teenage boy). My pet peeve was the lack of a narrator or music through the episode. It looked like it was going to be moved into the game as a special feature or something....The narartion explaining everything was wrtten at the bottom of the screen. It was annoying....

The re-redub of Pokemon was a deffinate plus from the Mastermind special. Ash still anoys me a bit (noone can do Veronica T's WAAAA noise right!) but Brock doesnt sound creepy anymore. And May, she actually sounds 12-13 again! Max is basically the same though. Jessie and James rock in my opinion. But i have no clue what happened to Meowth, it's horrible! I've seen two episodes and one of them was Sweet Baby James which was one of the cutest epsiodes EVER!

James meets up with his grandmother and father who think he is an upstanding young men like they raised him as when he was trying to escape the stress of the rich city life. When Chimco gets sick James must take him to them. He makes Jessie and Moewth promise that nothing will happen *stealing pokemon*. Meanwhile May is dealing with Munchlax being ill and goes there too.

It's a really sad episode.....James needs huggles

I have to say I remember when Clown Prince of Crime showed me his first comic of Pokemon Issue 1 he made it was hell funny. I gave him pointers on the comic.

But I haven't heard anything on Issue 2 yet but I think it will come soon. :)

Perhaps this is old news, and maybe I may have mentioned already that I saw this movie, but in case I haven't, I wanna say... I really liked Lucario and the Mystery of Mew! It was an awesome movie, and I swear the LOTR-esque intro made it seem very epic! And it was also the last hurrah for the 4Kids voice actors. Heh, a bit ironic that I'd miss them so much considering how badly I wanna get them away from the Sonic games. XD

The movie was near perfect. There's just one thing I cannot forgive. Although I know that songs in the dub will always end up getting replaced, I really don't like that they replaced the ending song for that movie. For those of you that don't know, in the original Japanese version of that movie, the ending song was Hajimari no Uta by Puffy AmiYumi. It's a good song, too.

And DBOZGT is referring to "The Adventures of Ash & Friends", btw. And he didn't give me pointers. What he means to say is feedback. ^_^;

One thing I've been wondering (especially after catching some pre-VA-switch and post-VA-switch episodes this week), or does the script-translation now seem to have lost character? I know that Pokemon has always been adapted to work with the Y7 rating demographic and whatever, but to me it seems like the script-work with these new licencers/translators seems to have been dumbed down, in comparison to how it had always been with the old licencers/translators.

Am I the only one thinking this?

No you're right ^___^ It's gone down the pooper lately. I dunno about everyone else but I'm sorta missing the 4kids dub of Pokemon. Sure they cut things, but it was only things that would in fact be offesnsive (guns, James' iflatable chest, etc) now the episodes are crazy toned down. I was especially dissapointed with one of the most recent episodes where Ash was suposed to be possesed....It was pathetic....

So yeah, cartoon network just realeased the names of the two new characters to the pokemon anime and the ffical English Diamond and Peal female name (who is the same as Hikari from the anime)

Hikari is now Dawn
Shinji (Ash's new rival) is now Paul

I can no longer live my life blisfully unaware of the truth. The truth to the question that lingers about in my mind.

I'm not sure what the worst part of all of this is, the headsplitting pain this has caused me, or the knowlage that I know I'll never really find out the answer. The answer to the great question.
