Title: My media projects
Description: Minor hobbies!

^DiZnEy^ - September 12, 2006 10:23 PM (GMT)
I do not bother in retyping what I already have typed on the SSMB. Hence, I shall post the same content as found in my SSMB Creativity topic. I at least assume that posting my own media projects here should be okay. If not, I am sorry. Here we go, quoted from the SSMB:

==============================================================

I have barely been into the Creative Portal, but as I read the introduction and rules for this section, I compared that I actually have some minor hobbies that fit into some of the types of art allowed for submission. Therefore I beleave I could make my introduction within this section by posting two flash movies that I have created and released a while ago.

Edit: To avoid confusion, my alternate nickname is Radidsh.

Flash Movies

I am a flash movie author, using original sprites instead of my own art.
The program I used in the developement of these projects was Macromedia Flash MX Proffessional 2004. These two flash movies both contain random events and incidents within the classic Nintendo: Super Mario-world. My goal through these flash movies is to atleast try to get you to laugh.

user posted image Bowser's Unlucky Day (Newgrounds)

Bowser is again hunting Mario, but he also had a little shrinking incident back at his castle to deal with. It ofcourse does not make Bowser happy to witness Mario beleaving him being a little brat, and then even treating him like one. Stupid Mario has now caused his day to be very lethal for him. Bowser sets traps and does everything in his powers to kill Mario, too bad that Bowser is out of luck...

This was my first flash sprite movie, flash movie at all that got done and actually was released. It took me a long while to progress this movie, as I had alot of breaks and I never really figured out ideas for the upcoming scenes. I do, however, hope that you still like this one. Click here to watch this movie. Enjoy!

user posted image Luigi's Unlucky Day (Newgrounds) ( http://newgrounds.com/portal/view/263897 )

After Mario unwillingly crashed into Bowser's castle with his new "cheating" device, he realizes that he now has the chance to revenge all of Bowser's wrongdoings by giving him a painful death. However, as Luigi pops by, the chance of doing so dissapeared. Mario grew an extreme anger towards Luigi, which seems to stay strong every meeting with him that day. Luigi will have to run as fast as he can in order to stay away from Mario's sight, but that task seems a little hard for Luigi...

My second flash movie can be seen as some sort of sequel to Bowser's Unlucky Day. This project also took long, for the same reasons as the other. I was, however, more fortunate in this project. I kept receiving ideas as I progressed, often I just flashed directly from my mind. Luigi's Unlucky Day has better quality and graphich, in my opinion, comparing it to Bowser's Unlucky Day. I have heard the opposition when I heard people's overall opinion about which one was best, though. I hope that you like the movie. Click here to watch this movie!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am also a music tracker, which mean I remix/remake (Sonic music) and create my own tunes and songs (Sonic-like?). Not only have I created dozens and dozens of remakes and own random song creations, but I have also an unfinished soundtrack of a fangame titled "Sonic Xtreme". This fangame did get cancelled before anyone except me started, though. I can atleast show my music somewhere. :p

Since music, aswell as flash movies, seems accepted within these topics, I will post some songs later. I have to pick out a few, then I need an actual place to upload them. If or when I have done so, I will post them here. I do hope that you like my various types of work so far! What do you think? Is there a special opinion that you would like to share? Enjoyed? Let me know! :D

Hey, that's some pretty neat stuff Dizney. The humor isn't half bad and I laughed at some places XP. A few tips would be to make the text look a bit bold and fun but yeah, just keep practising. You've gotten the way the background objects move and stuff down real nice for only two flashes!
[/quote]

Thanks, Violet. I might create a third sequel, but that would have to wait a little first. It makes me glad to hear that you enjoyed these!

Music

I am much more of a music tracker than a flash movie artist. I have uncounted projects, being remixes, remakes and own creations, but this time I am going to post my soundtrack for the cancelled fangame "Sonic Xtreme". On as good as all of my songs and music projects, I have used a program named Fruity Loops. However, for this unfinished soundtrack I have used Modplug Tracker. This is a free digital music tracking device, but you have to find all the instruments yourself.

Note: These samples are in low quality and volume, which may and in some cases will make them sound different than intended. These songs are originally made compatible with looping, but not as they are now.

Module10 / Sonic Xtreme - Untitled (Putfile)

This was my first try on making music for Sonic Xtreme. It was later discussed to be some sort of credits-music or something around that, but aswell as other samples, this was one sample that was showed very low interest for.

Module12v2 / Sonic Xtreme - Lava Zone (Putfile)

Now is when my friend/fangame leader starts to become impressed, and that already from the prealpha stage. I beleave this is the best song I have created with Modplug Tracker. It is amazing how I managed to track the song like the way it is now. XD

Module12v2 / Sonic Xtreme - Lava Zone Act2 (Putfile)

This is a quick remix made out of boredom. Nothing much has really been changed, but I assume that it is an early stage act2 version. This was tracked very recently.

Module13 / Sonic Xtreme - Ice Zone (Putfile)

Shortly after the previous one arrived as far in progress as now, I started this one. Only after some time I noticed that this would fit as a snow- or ice cave-like zone. I kind of like this one.
Before I finished this, I had received the news that Sonic Xtreme was most likely to be cancelled.

Module13_2 / Sonic Xtreme - Ice Zone Act2 (Putfile)

This is one of the remixes of this zone music that I created out of boredom. Not much has been changed, but I assume that it is decent enough to be called an act2 version. This was tracked very recently.

Module14v2 / Sonic Xtreme - Special Stage (Putfile)

Even though Sonic Xtreme already was "announced" cancelled, I somehow felt like making another zone song. I beleave this one is one of the best I have managed to track for Modplug Tracker. I randomly came up with a short melody within some instrumental keyboard software that came with the pc. After I pressed those tones a couple of times, liking it, I recorded it's midi sound, imported it into Modplug Tracker and started tracking.

Module11full / Sonic Xtreme - Untitled (Putfile)

This comes as the last song sample in my list as I did not really plan to post this one. People has told me that they do not really like it, but I can as good aswell post it here along with the rest of the soundtrack. This was one of those samples to most likely be unaccepted as a soundtrack of Sonic Xtreme.

Module / Untitled (Putfile)

Here is my first try on Modplug Tracker, which obviously should be the longest song I have tracked within this program. It is probably the weirdest song of them all, but I find it kind of decent.

Module / Untitled (Putfile)

Just as other of my Modplug Tracker projects, I have created a part two version of my first Modplug Tracker song. I did not feel that continuing on the existing version would be a good idea, so I created a new one.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The list above me, containing the Sonic Xtreme Fangame Soundtrack&Modplug tracked songs, is a small part of my overall music projects. If you would be interested, I would post a couple of further songs of my overall Fruity Loops projects. They are a little different from the above, both in build and type. I hope that you enjoyed these samples as they are now. ^_^

==============================================================

After letting this topic stay dead for a while, I thought I should revive it for a short while by showing you some more samples from the music part of mine. I previously showed you some sort of soundtrack I made for a game, which as mentioned died a while ago.

Music: Sonic Remixes

Now I believe that I shall move on from my Modplug projects and start to show you some of my Fruity Loops projects. When it comes to Fruity Loops, I have both tracked my own creations aswell as remaking/remixing music, not being my own work. This time I shall post a smaller part of the Sonic music which I have remade and remixed. These remixes were all created a great while ago. Some a year old, some two years, etc. I have, however, now taken the time to enter the source of these few selected projects of mine for applying minor modifications, aswell as being able to export the project as a song that is loopable for you members to listen to, instead of having it playing only once. Well then, I shall post the bizarre ones which I have fixed and uploaded so far. Before I forget, the file titles that putfile.com is capable of offering are rather strange, just so that you know I did not give them all those titles myself, like: "---", "Act12", "AttackPinch", etc.

Sonic3&Knuckles - Death Egg Zone Act: 1 (Putfile)

Sonic Advance 2 - Hot Crater Zone Act: 1&2 (Putfile)
Wopsie! The second loop appears to be missing an instrument. :'3

Sonic Advance 2 - Boss: Attack&Pinch (Putfile)
Edit at SRB: Updated & Minor fixed version: http://media.putfile.com/DiZnEys-Remix---S...s-AttackPinchv2

Sonic3&Knuckles - Special Stage (Full) (Putfile)
This is an updated version of the file below (both are, aswell as these other songs, minorly improved). I believed the below version sounded too dull, so I tried to add more instruments to the projects. However, it may have become a tad too spammy and overflowing of instruments.

Sonic3&Knuckles - Special Stage (Stripped/Original) (Putfile)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have (temporarily) lost the source of these following songs, hence I could not touch up/improve them, neither adding some loops for them to become better viewable, so here they are in their current state.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sonic Advance 3 - Route99 Act: 1(Putfile)

Sonic Advance 3 - Route99 Act: Map (Putfile)
The stage select or whatever you may call it. In my opinion, this version became alot better than the previous project.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here you have a list over some of my Sonic remixes and remakes. I know that these samples may be rather bad from your opinion, especially some of these. However, I believe that I am improving. I still hope that some of you enjoyed these. These remixes/remakes were created with Fruity Loops and the instrument samples that came with it. No special effects were applied, from what I can recall.

In my next update, I will include some of my own creations tracked by Fruity Loops, in addition to a couple of other remakes/remixes made in Fruity Loops that I might find in my large folder of Fruity Loops projects. I will also have a look if I can find something else than music I have managed to create, which I believe is worthy showing to you. Until then, fellow members!

==============================================================

This was the content of my already existing creativity topic from the SSMB. If I update my topic at the SSMB, I shall post the update here aswell. I hope that at least some of you enjoyed some of this. Thanks for reading.

^DiZnEy^ - September 12, 2006 10:25 PM (GMT)
Music: Own songs & Remixes

In this post I shall mostly focus on my own creations, this time tracked with Fruity Loops, but I also have more remixes. I have even more Sonic remixes, but I feel that many of them need a major touchup before I should list them here. Here we go, then!

Sonic Advance 2 - Boss: Attack&Pinch (Putfile)
This remix was already posted in my previous post. I fixed the bass to play properly at some places in the boss attack part. This is not the reason for why I am reposting this remix. I am reposting this so that you may compare the boss pinch, other half of the sample, to the other version I made below.

Sonic Advance 2 - Boss: Pinch (Ingame remake) (Putfile)
I noticed that my pinch part of my boss remix was more different from the original song in the game than I thought. For this reason I deleted some of the instruments' melodies, quickly remaking them to become somewhat more identical to the original boss tune. It is still somewhat buggy and not playing exactly as intended, and I still like the other one best, but I felt that I should share this one anyway.

Fruity Loops Pitch-fade learning&testing (Putfile)
This was just a quick sample to learn and test a feature that allowed fading between pitches in Fruity Loops. At the end, I felt that I should save it, instead of simply trashing is as a test. I am posting this sample so that you may see how the song below was created.

Untitled (Putfile)
This was supposed to be a test aswell, for trying to create a somewhat decent drum beat, for once. After I was quite happy and excited with the results, I figured that I should actually make this into a quick project, which I did. If you saw my reply in this topic, you may already have heard this sample.

Untitled 1st project (Original extended) (Putfile)
This was my first attempt on creating a song for Fruity Loops. It was originally only 22 seconds long, somewhat later I made it a little longer than just a small sample. This song is weird, I know that already.

Untitled (Technoish) (Putfile)
A while after the extended version, I made a techno-like remix of my first attempt on creating a song with Fruity Loops.

Sonic Advance 2 - Sky Zone Act: 1&2 (Putfile)

Untitled 13th project (Putfile)
Somehow this song keeps reminding me of Neo Pets. Possibly because I was playing their Mc Donalds game at the time I was tracking this project.

Untitled 14th project (Putfile)

Untitled 9th project (Putfile)

Untitled 10th project (Putfile)

Untitled 16th project (Putfile)
This is what I believe to be, if not the best project I have tracked so far, it is at least among them. To me, this song is an overdose of wootness. This is one of my latest projects so far, though it was a very great while since I finished it.

Untitled project (Putfile)

RPG Project (Midi) (Putfile)
Do not ask how I managed to create a project sounding like this, I just did it. It is not my style of tracking at all. This is a midi file, and it therefore sounds different at as good as all computers, due to each computer having different sounding instruments to play midi files with. This is why it may sound more crappy at your computer than mine, possibly ruining it.

Untitled project (Putfile)
I may as good as well post the project that currently is in progress. I have not worked on it for a great while, and it is still in a alpha/beta stage. Just to let you know, only the first half part of this sample (43 first seconds) is what I am using in this project. The second half was just to test something and showing it to a friend of mine.

Edit
-No edits made in this paste so far.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The next time I may fix some of my other Sonic remixes in order to post them here, in case you would wish to hear any of them. Thanks for listening and reading all this, feedback is greatly apprechiated. ^_^

HellAvatar - September 12, 2006 11:01 PM (GMT)
You sure have been busy...

XD

Awesome stuff. I love the flash animations. Heck, maybe I'd ask you to make some sometime... Just kidding.

And the remixes are great. Personally, I have not listened through all of them but seriously. You sure got some talent when it comes to this. Great job, dude and I hope on hearing more on your progress.

One more artist of a different kind joins our ranks! Yes!

Crystal Rose - September 12, 2006 11:16 PM (GMT)
Coooooool Way cool. XD Those flash videos were really funny and reallynicely made. I look forward to more work in the line of Flash from you, it rocks out loud ^___^

I'm about to listen to the music, and if it's anything like how you make your mini movies then I really cannot wait! You do awesome work you know!

Usually it's frowned upon to double post, but I think it'll be okay this time since you posted so much information. lol I really dunno how many links we are allowed to have on one post here ^_^;

But dont worry, AWESOME WORK, and continue amazing us with your media!

^DiZnEy^ - September 13, 2006 01:30 PM (GMT)
Sorry about that double posting. I believed double posting was allowed when it came to own creation topics. Besides, I pasted it from another forum where I did that, so next time I shall just try to merge them all.

Thanks for all that positive feedback! It makes me happy to hear that you liked my projects. I have had a large break in both flash movie projects and music tracking, whether it to be Fruity Loops projects or Modplug tracking.

I am planning to start a flash movie project as another "sequel" about Mario's daily, crazy adventures. I also have a couple of music projects in progress that I have to finish. I'll post them here once they are done, if you would wish.

Again, thanks a lot! It makes me happy and motivated to continue this! :D

Pasted from the SSMB:

In case there would be members to be interested in updates of the list of projects of mine, here is another short update in both Modplug projects and Fruity Loops projects, old and new.

Music: Own songs & Remixes/remakes

Slalom Slalomicide OC ReMix (Putfile)
I did NOT make this song. This is made by someone else. Why I am posting this song is stated below.

Slalomicidial MidiB2 (Midi) (Putfile)
This is some sort of midi remake of the above song. I felt like making a midi version of this song, as I was kinda inspired by the above submission. This midi file is still marked in progress, but I doubt that I will actually finish this one in the near future.

RPG Project (Midi) (50megs)
I already posted this project in my previous reply. Why I am reposting this is stated below.

RPG Project Extended V1 (Midi) (Putfile)
This is identical to the file above, but it contains a somewhat extended start. I made it out of randomness some time, and I guess I simply should post it for you to hear, as I believe it is decent enough for some ears to hear. Check submission above for comparement.

Sonic Advanced 2 - Leaf Forest Act1&2 (Putfile)
I show dissapointment in this project, especially the first parts. It was very poorly tracked and it should have become a lot better than this, which it would if I had created this later. This was tracked before I felt I was improving within music tracking/creation with Fruity Loops and overall. I am still posting this, though. The reason for that is because I feel that it has some decent parts in the song as well.

Untitled project (Putfile)
I posted an unfinished version of this song in my previous reply. Now I feel that this project is as good as finished, but it might still need a couple of tweaks.

Untitled 15th project (Putfile)
I feel that this is a decent and calm song, but repeating a little too much.

Module15N-Beta3 (Putfile)
This is a XM project that I started quite recently, a couple of days ago to be somewhat exact.
This is how it is so far, I still have to fill in and touch up some parts of it. I felt that this project went straight downwards once I started it, but after spending time with it, I felt it actually became slightly better and better. I hope you like it!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I still have projects to show you, if you would be interested, that is.
I might start another sprite flash movie soon. If I start one, I shall post it here when I feel that it is good enough for somebody else to check out as a beta, along with other various projects of mine. I really hope that you like my projects here! ^_^

SRB Edit:
I really hope that we are permitted to post as much as we like in a row when it comes to creativity topics like this. If not, then there would simply be way too much to have in one reply, in addition to that nobody would be able to see your updated content, not bumping the topic back up again.

GoldenSama - October 22, 2006 12:28 AM (GMT)
No problem double-posting when you have to update a art or media topic! I always forget that non-staff members can't bump topics. So it's totally cool if you do it this way for a media topic.

These are pretty cool man. :3 Awesome work DZ!

^DiZnEy^ - November 2, 2006 11:35 AM (GMT)
Fankies, GS! :3
Though, I feel I should become better than this, I am not really good yet. XP
