O.o

While doin' my usual rumor check around the net, I found out that this picture was given out at Comic Con '05.

Now, amoung those new characters shown on that card are people like Argent and Bushido; and more importantly, Jericho.

In case any of you don't know, in the comics, Jericho is a mute who can possess people, he had a relationship with Raven, and he's Slade's youngest son. O_O And now it looks like he's going to make an apperance in the animated version.

There's also rumors that the Doom Patrol will be showing up -- they're Beast Boy's legal guardians, and a team of supervillains.

And the final thing I heard was there will be some big mass merger of all the villains in the show so far (except for Slade, Trigon and Blackfire) who will be serving someone called "The Brain".

Just thought I'd share these rumors. I don't know how dependable they are, but I found them on TitansGo.net, which is usually a dependable site.

O.O oooooooo Yay! More TT info!!

Clown Prince of Crime - August 3, 2005 10:32 PM (GMT)
Well, I saw some screencaps, so it's probably true.

What I'm more interested in is hearing (though not knowing if it's true) that Kid Flash will make an appearance. Now that's cool. Good ol' Wally.

._. But why no Wonder Girl? I wanna see Donna.

J0HA - August 3, 2005 10:40 PM (GMT)
Kid Flash<3!!!

You know, seeing Jericho would probably add more drama to it in the beginning :D and I wonder if they might add what Raven and Jericho had in the comics. Weee more drama.

GoldenSama - August 3, 2005 10:43 PM (GMT)
Eh, you never know. If they can add the new characters and it goes well with the fans, they could add in people like Kid Flash and Wonder Girl.

But, recalling the whole Titans East thing, I'm not sure how well the majority of fans will respond to the new additions. It's hard to tell until it happens.

But drama is good. Always. ^^

Clown Prince of Crime - August 3, 2005 11:05 PM (GMT)
Well, personally, I'd rather see more real characters like Kid Flash and Jericho than new characters. Though, I must admit, Mumbo was an awesome original character.

GoldenSama - August 4, 2005 05:37 PM (GMT)
Three more rumors I heard today:

1) Apparently Kid Flash WILL be coming in. So rejoy el Spoony.

2) According to Amy Wolfram: "Terra may be coming back in an interesting way."

3) And when asked if Robin and Starfire will ever kiss, Rob Hoegee said: "Pretty safe bet. But we're not saying for sure."

Cojo - August 4, 2005 05:47 PM (GMT)
Also sadly I have been outcasted. Robins real name is Dick Grason. Dang I have proof it was Tim.

GoldenSama - August 4, 2005 05:50 PM (GMT)
But it can't have been Tim, because it was Dick who fell in love with Starfire, and Dick who became Nightwing -- and as we've all seen, TT Robin becomes Nightwing and *obviously* has the hots for Star.

Cojo - August 4, 2005 05:53 PM (GMT)
The hotts for Starfire is like 1 of 2 things I cant explain. As for nightwing. Since Robin is still 16/17ish we dont know what his future will hold. WE saw it breifly for 3 issues but then they changed the future. So Tim could as well be the 2nd Nightwing.

Clown Prince of Crime - August 4, 2005 07:11 PM (GMT)
u_u; Tim was still a baby when Starfire was a teenager...

Cojo - August 4, 2005 07:19 PM (GMT)
I said one of 2 things!!!

Clown Prince of Crime - August 4, 2005 07:40 PM (GMT)
o.o So what can you exlpain for him being Tim, then? The hair and staff are all I can think of being similar to Tim, but they seem to just be cosmetic changes. His history, his likes, and so forth, all seem to fit Dick perfectly. And although his personality is more Batman than any Robin, the closest Robin his personality resembles would still be Dick. I just wanna know what makes you think it's Tim. Cuz it just doesn't plausible to me.

Cojo - August 4, 2005 07:50 PM (GMT)
Well I have lots of reasons that would take time to tell. First off though is that in Static Shock Batman said Tim was with the Titans. And that Robin was Tim Drake since it followed te storyline of the old tv show of Batman where Tim became Robin in the second season. Also Dick was always shown as way older than the Robin is.

Clown Prince of Crime - August 4, 2005 08:11 PM (GMT)
<_< I guess that'd be valid if not fot the fact that the JLU continuity is a different universe altogether. When Batman said Tim was with the Titans, I don't think he meant THOSE Titans. In the comics, the other Robins, both Jason and Todd, did visit thier "big brother" Dick, who was leader of the Titans. Sometimes for advice or to blow off steam after being around Batman for too long. That Robin very likely was visiting Nightwing. Moreso, that episode of Static Shock was made before the Titans cartoon even came out.

Cojo - August 4, 2005 08:18 PM (GMT)
Well besides Starfire why do you think its Dick?

GoldenSama - August 4, 2005 08:25 PM (GMT)
Well, for one thing, in the Teen Titans comics which the show is based on it's Dick Grayson who is the Robin of the Titans.

For another, as we saw in "How Long Is Forever?" Robin becomes Nightwing; and only Dick Grayson became Nightwing.

For another, it was Dick who fell in love with Starfire in the comics.

And for another, Larry the Titan's real name spelled backwards is Dick Grayson.

And the most damning evidence of all; remember that Episode where Raven goes into Robin's mind? I forget the name of it, but inside his mind we see a circus scene. Dick Grayson was the youngest of the flying Grayson's circus troop before his family was killed and he was adopted by Billionaire Bruce Wayne.

Neither Tim nor Jason ever was involved with the circus. Tim's only connection is that he was at the circus show and saw Dick's family do their event before they died; which is how he later figured out that Robin I was Dick Grayson by watching his aerobatics in battle.

Cojo - August 4, 2005 08:36 PM (GMT)
ok I can answer those.
1. the current issues has all those same Titans.
2.We dont know what Tim will be when he grows up
3.1 of 2 I cant explain
4.2 of 2 I cant explain
5. Yes but did you see the angle of the shot. It was looking at them while Dick was looking down at them. 2 different chamera views.

Clown Prince of Crime - August 4, 2005 08:42 PM (GMT)
Heh, GS took most of what I was going to say.

But, ya, the age thing is a big thing, there, too. Tim was extremely young (about 3 or 4, I think) when he saw what happened to Dick's family at the circus. I doubt that memory would be as important to Tim as it would be to Dick.

But, need I keep bringing up the age thing? Starfire is at LEAST 10 years older than Tim Drake. I know your response to this is that you can't explain it. But this is something that makes it impossible for this Robin to be Tim Drake.

Also, though other Robins were affiliated with the Titans, out of them only Dick has ever been leader.

And one more thing... if this was Tim, and it isn't, and he really did become the next Nightwing, then wouldn't he and the other Titans already know about Nightwing? Cuz, obviously, if Tim were already Robin, then Dick would already be Nightwing. See? This Robin being Tim just doesn't add up.

Cojo, we have things that you can't explain. Do you have anything WE can't explain?

Cojo - August 4, 2005 08:44 PM (GMT)
Dudes I didnt want this to become a war. I was just saying that my suspisions were dashed is all. Although I shall forever side with the Tim theory even though its wrong.

Clown Prince of Crime - August 4, 2005 08:45 PM (GMT)
Nobody's flaming anybody, so this certainly isn't a war, it's just a friendly little discussion. And I still don't think it's Tim, by any stretch of the imagination. I just don't see any proof of it.

Cojo - August 4, 2005 08:48 PM (GMT)
Well what about the costume? The age not stars or the titans his? His attitue? All of these things add up towards Tim.

GoldenSama - August 4, 2005 08:49 PM (GMT)
War? Naw dude. This isn't a war. We're just having a conversation. In a war people are a lot less friendly. Trust me, I've seen pleanty of them. XD

Anyway... I do believe it's Dick. There's just not enough proof saying otherwise, y'know?

You have a point Cojo. Teen Titans Robin is drawn to look a lot like the Tim Drake Robin from one of the animated Batman series . . . but that's just the artistic rendoring.

Storyline trumps over artistic looks dude.

Cojo - August 4, 2005 08:54 PM (GMT)
Stroyline Like what? You havent mentioned attitude either. Dick did take stuff too serious but he wasnt as clever or as fun loving like Tim and the Robin on the show.

Clown Prince of Crime - August 4, 2005 08:56 PM (GMT)
QUOTE (cojo @ Aug 4 2005, 01:48 PM)
Well what about the costume?

If you're talking about him having pants, they changed it for Dick in Batman: The Animated Series as well. But other than that, it's still more akin to Dick. The costume was changed to be more updated, but in neither series did they change the R emblem, as it's what tells them apart from each other.

user posted image user posted image

Now, which R looks more like the R that this version of Robin has?

QUOTE (cojo @ Aug 4 2005, 01:48 PM)
The age not stars or the titans his?

o_o Sorry, dude, I have no idea what you just said there. ^_^;

QUOTE (cojo @ Aug 4 2005, 01:48 PM)
His attitue?

As much as I hate to admit it, his attitude is actually more like Jason Todd than any other Robin. And his personality is an odd one, as it's actually more like Batman than it is any Robin.

QUOTE (cojo @ Aug 4 2005, 01:48 PM)
All of these things add up towards Tim.

Not really, though I didn't understand one of your questions. Could you rephrase it?

GoldenSama - August 4, 2005 08:57 PM (GMT)
Storyline like all that stuff I mentioned before. The circus/starfire/Larry's real name.

And I have to disagree on Dick not being clever. He always struck me as very bright.

Cojo - August 4, 2005 09:00 PM (GMT)
I meant his age. Dick became Robin when he was in high school so like 16-18. Now Im talking about Robins age. not being compared toward Star's or the rest of the titans.

GoldenSama - August 4, 2005 09:01 PM (GMT)
No, Dick did not become Robin in his twenties. I don't know where you get that idea -- unless you refer to the live action movie, "Batman Forever".

Edit: 12? Are you sure CP? Wow. I thought he was older than that. I remember reading he was in high school at some point; but I may have misread.

Clown Prince of Crime - August 4, 2005 09:02 PM (GMT)
Dick Grayson became Robin when he was 12.

Here's 2 pics of him taking the oath to become Robin:

20s? oops I didnt mean to write that Ill change it.

Clown Prince of Crime - August 4, 2005 09:08 PM (GMT)
o_o Ya, GS, look at the pics if you don't believe me! Heh... I may have been adding them during the time you edited that post.

GoldenSama - August 4, 2005 09:15 PM (GMT)
Oh no, I believe you dude. I'm just surprised.

-shrugs-

Ah well, I guess it's impossible to argue with a picture.

And, to put even further proof on the table . . .

That's a site all about the Teen Titans comic; and that's the bio on Nightwing, which tells all about the leader of the Titans from his days as Robin at Batman's side, up to current comic history and everything in between.

Cojo - August 4, 2005 09:17 PM (GMT)
You mean Titans Tower right? Oh yeah im on that site all the time. In fact that what inspired me to believe in Tim.

GoldenSama - August 4, 2005 09:19 PM (GMT)
Hmm. That seems a bit odd, since they clearly state, several times, that Robin is Dick on Titans Tower. O_o

But to each his own, as the sayin' goes.

Cojo - August 19, 2005 02:38 AM (GMT)
This is what inspired me Finally our inside source said the current line-up for the team is Changeling, Raven, Cyborg, Starfire and Robin. Robin will be the younger, Tim Drake version seen in the latter episodes of the Batman animated shows.

http://www.comics2film.com/ProjectFrame.php?f_id=192
I dont know why they changed it

Clown Prince of Crime - August 19, 2005 06:39 AM (GMT)
I think that was speculation due to thinking that it was going to be in the same continuity. When I first heard of this show, I thought it was gonna be in that continuity as well, but once I saw the first episode, I knew it wasn't.

Crystal Rose - August 19, 2005 11:33 AM (GMT)
okay does anyone here know when the 5th season will start? Or the movie?

I feel so in the dark about TT lately :P

Clown Prince of Crime - August 19, 2005 11:37 AM (GMT)
In all honesty, I have no clue. And I feel pretty "in-the-dark" about TT lately, as well. It might be a while before Season 5 starts, though. I have to say, this is unheard of, though. For once, a new season of TT will actually start at... well, the begining of the season! All the other times we would get a few leftover episodes from the previous season, then it'd go directly into the next. Dunno why, but looks like things are finally gonna get done right! XD

Crystal Rose - August 19, 2005 11:47 AM (GMT)
But I dont want the episodes done right!! I want them NOW *throws a fit* LOL

okay okay...I'll wait..... Its probably gonna take forever though and I really want to see the TT movie!!!

Snowblind: While battling a mysterious creature in the wilds of Siberia, Starfire is lost in a blinding snowstorm. A reclusive young soldier named Red Star comes to her aid and the two become fast friends. When Robin and the rest of the Titans arrive, they discover Red Star hides not only a tragic past, but a destructive secret.

Kole: While in the Arctic Circle, the Teen Titans once again take on Dr. Light. And when an accident sends the Titans through the ice, they discover a new exotic Underworld --and two new superheroes, Kole and her caveman sidekick Gnarrk.

Hide & Seek: With the other Teen Titans off fighting exciting battles with the Brotherhood of Evil, Raven is left with the worst task of all -- transporting three rambunctious future superheroes to safety. But this simple task turns into an adventure in babysitting as Raven and her young charges are chased through the Alps by the Brotherhood of Evil's Mrs. Mallah.

Lightspeed: With Titans dispatched across the globe, members of the Hive Five figure they have it made. Unfortunately their city-wide crime spree is cut short when a new hero in town spoils the fun. Handing him over to the Brotherhood of Evil may score the Hive Five points, but actually catching this lightning-fast do-gooder is much harder than it seems.

Revved Up: Robin's most prized possession is stolen by the hip hot-rodder DING DONG DADDY, and to get it back they're going to have to beat him in a cross-country ROAD RACE. But with Ding Dong Daddy making the rules and a few unexpected rivals joining in the competition, it's anyone's guess who will cross the finish line first!

Go: How did ROBIN meet STARFIRE? What was BEAST BOY's first joke? Why did CYBORG build his Sonic Cannon? When did RAVEN first call the Titans her friends? Return to the very beginning and see how it all started – from the word "GO!"

Calling All Titans: The final game has begun. While the Titans are spread out throughout the globe on one last mission, Brotherhood mastermind the Brain makes his move. Robin has a strategy of his own, but as all the villains begin taking down all the superheroes all at once, will it be enough to save his friends?

Titans Together: All seems lost for young heroes across the globe: they have been spread far and wide, their lines of communication have been severed, and one by one, the Brotherhood of Evil takes them down. But as The Brain claims his victory is assured, one brave hero manages to slip thorough the Brotherhood of Evil's grasp.

Things Change: After months of fighting the Brotherhood of Evil around the globe, the Teen Titans are finally back home. But a walk through the city reveals that things are no longer as they remembered. And while Beast Boy wants everything to be just like it was in the past, he has to face the fact that in life things change.
