This is pretty much born out of a conversation that was held in the Chatty Chat Thread. Basically, discuss all the Sonic music here. Whats your fave. What you hate. What you'd like to hear remixed for a future game... All that crap.

Personally... I'd love to hear an official Chemical Plant remake.

Me? I generally grow to dislike the music on the genesis systems. It's not because the music is bad, but it's because I'm terrible at the old genesis Sonic games and I spend so much time stuck on each level that the music is now tattooed into my brain. o.o

... But I love the songs with lyrics. :3 I can sing those all day. I mean, listen to. I don't sing... you never heard me say that.

I pretty much love it all. There are a few songs that just make me cringe, though. The old Genesis themes being burned into my mind is good for me. Those bring back ALOT of great memories for me.

Whats everybody's fave vocal track?

I pretty much like all the songs. One of my favorites is "Open your heart", "escape from the city" and most of the other songs since Sonic Adventure 1

For music I'd love to see remixed for any future game, I'd probobly take almost anything from the main 2D series. I love almost all of that music... But if I had to choose, I'd go with either Metropolis Zone from Sonic 2, or any of the Japanese Stardust Speedway themes.

When it comes to the vocal tracks, I really only like two; Sweet Sweet Sweet (the remix from Sonic 2006) and Dreams of an Absolution, also from Sonic 2006. Ironic, since I never played Sonic 2006, but not so ironic considering Sweet Sweet Sweet's really the ending for Sonic 2 (a game I have a very special attachment to, even though I think S3K is better), Dreams of an Absolution is reminiscent of Green Hill Zone's theme, and that I've always liked LeeBro's music.

Yeah, LeeBro is awesome. I've been lucky enought to talk to him a couple times, and he's a really good guy. Kind of my hero too, being that he went from an OC Sonic remixer to one of the "headline acts" of Sonic '06.

And as for Sonic 2... That was my first game EVER, and it remains my favorite game ever to this day.

Ah, the Sonic music industry has gotten bad reviews from the game-master sites. But don't let them get you down, I love the music. Sonic Adventure 2 Battle has awesome tracks, Shadow the Hedgehog does too. My favorite would have to be Waking Up from Shadow the Hedgehog, I could sing that all day long...^__^

Thats an understatement. "Waking Up" is one of the best vocal tracks in series history.

I liked alot of the SatSR music. The party game stuff was kinda lame, but the main stage music was brilliant.

I think its great to see that the music can be amazing even without Jun Senoue.
