Mario Anime Movie!

Seeing the costume designs of the Mario Brothers, I belive this is before 1999.


Thoughts?

Oh yeah, I remember that movie! Spoony showed me a link to it months ago, but I never had a chance to watch it.

Luigi looks... weird.

Before 1999? How about before 1989! :p (specifically, it's from 1986)

Considering it's in Japanese, I don't really know what I can say, though now I want to watch some Super Mario Bros: Super Show or similar, now. :LOL:

Yep, that movie was made in 1986. Only a year after Super Mario Bros. 1 came out for the NES. This movie is responsible for a lot of things, believe it or not.

1) It's responsible for changing Luigi's appearance, so that he doesn't look exactly the same as Mario.

2) Before Super Mario 64, Mario swung Bowser by his tail in this!

I think there may have been more, but I'm not sure. Anywho, Youtube used to have a LOT more clips, but most of them have been taken down. u_u;

I found the Mario Fairy Tale anime! There's 3 stories, each being a fairy tale. This was animated in 1989, so it's more recent than the movie, and also features the Koopa Kids.

I would like to own this on VHS but the VHS is Extremely hard to get.

The whole mario anime doesn't seem right to me.

I always felt that mario's vocabulary should always be around 15 words. :p
