Earth, Year 20XX

The world has seen many technological marvels. Society has advanced. So have the games that people play. A new craze that has everybody joining the world of competitive play is a game called "Charaload". In this game, people face each other off using solidified holograms of their favorite characters! Technology has advanced so far, though, that these "Charahols" are, indeed, sentient beings. They have personalities, feelings, and all that. Many people develop deep friendships with their Charahols, and treat them as they would any real person. Though there are some that don't take that view.

For many, many years, this game has been the main use of Charahols... however... there is a Charahol user with dark ambitions. It is unknown what this Charahol user is planning, who he/she is... however, what is certain is that he/she has, for whatever reason, kidnapped loved ones of many of the top ranking Charaload players. So, our true story begins...



Well, that's the premise... now here's how we're gonna do things. ;)

Basically, this is one of those "journey" RPs. You have a character or two, and you set off on an adventure... a quest. Anywho, there isn't a character limit, per say, but at the same time, there kinda is... I'll get to that in a moment, but first let me explain something else regarding characters.

You HAVE to have an OC. No two ways about it. Your OC will be a Charaload player, and have a Charaloader device on one of his/her wrists. The Charaloader looks like this:



You use this to summon your Charahols, or to communicate with them. You can have ONLY 20 Charahols per Charaload player. This should be more than enough. Now, this is what I meant by there being no character limit, yet at the same time, ya. See, you can have as many Charaload players as you want (all of them MUST be OCs), but each one can only have a maximum of 20 Charahols (and minimum of 2).

Charahols live in Cyberspace... and they pretty much don't mind their accommodations. Afterall, they can roam freely throughout a whole digital world, right? Charahols can be communicated with using the Charaloader, and this is also how they are summoned. Only 2 Charahols can be brought out at once, but any of them can be communicated with at any point. When brought out into the "real world", Charahols can also interact with other Charahols that other players have brought out.

So... what the heck are Charahols, anyway? Or rather... who are they? That's the best part! Anybody you can think of! While your Charaload player must be an OC, your Charahols can be ANYBODY from any work of fiction! What a twist! [/M. Night Shyamalan]

You can choose to have some sort of common theme with your Charahols, but it's not necessary. There really isn't much restriction in who you can use. Now, I do want to state, though, that though there is a max of 20 Charahols you can sign-up as... be considerate of others and just sign-up for a few at first, okay? That way, we can give everyone the chance to get characters they like! Also, while you can have more than one character from a certain series, please try not to hog a lot of characters from one series. Try to keep your Charahols diverse, in case someone else wants to use characters from that series.

One last thing before we start these sign-ups... you can choose to be friends with other Charaload players (like... for story purposes, it might good if a few Charaload players already know each other...), but we can talk more about that later. The most important point of this aspect, imo, however, is that, whether or not any Charaload players already know each other or not, there should be sets of teams... I think this will work better than having people going off on their own... though that's probably a no-brainer.

Feel free to have your OC be good or evil! Or even neutral! I have a lot planned out for this RP, so if you have any questions/concerns, again... feel free to ask away!

There's still a Hollow version (from Bleach), his, now default, psychic form PLUS his fully realized psychic form, which I don't use much because it'd be considered God Modding to use him. He's gotten this many incarnations because I use the 'Alternate Universe' excuse to have him not be affected by any changes in another RP. Lord help us when I finally take the time to RP John dimension hopping and seeing one of his other selves :p

I thought I'd do something different for this RP.

I learned my lesson with Trinity. I signed up for too many characters, got very confused and then I stopped contribuiting to the RP. Too bad, because I had a lot of plans.

That said, for this RP I'm going by the adage "Less is More". I may get more characters later on, but for now, this is me. :3

I haven't settled on a final name for my hero, so I'll edit later with it when I decide. I also changed my teams more times than can be counted. At one point, Ishida, Renji, Yuffie, Link, Meta Knight and Myotismon were a part of my line-up, but I finally settled on the ones I chose because either A) They'll be challenging and fun for me to play or B ) I've used them before but neglected them because of overcrowding on my part in the past.

Brief Biography: Dr. Snell was once a Medicial Doctor who later learned Computer Design. He is one of the original programmers, developers and creators of the Charaload Game Systems. While he was at first considered a genius for his work on the Charaload System, he eventually took his original idea too far. He introduced a "patch" that would allow the Charaload Player to "feel what their Charahols Feel". While this could be good for happy occassions, it caused many problems when the Charahols fought because the pain was shared with the Player. A tester of his new patch wound up dying because of the Pain Sharing and Snell was fired. He became outragged that Charaload has become so popular (and financially successful) since his firing and he hasn't recieved one red cent. However, as he was a programmer, he had built himself a "back door" into the game's systems . . . and even created his own Charahols. Now he's using his knowledge of the Charaload Systems and his Charahols to... do something evil. Unfortunately, I shall not elaborate as to what his plans are . . . but you can bet Dr. Snell will be a intrical part of the plot.

Not necessarily. Charahols aren't actually the characters they resemble... however, the way they're programmed is to act exactly like those characters. So, no, Takato isn't needed for Guilmon to evolve... but the Charaload Player that uses him is needed.
