Well...

Shadow looks pretty cool,and has a mysterious backround that gives his fans the permission to dub him "the prince of pwnage".But I sorta think he is to overated and he acts like a punk.

But on the other hand,Sonic has always been in his fan's hearts as a classic pinpoint on what sega is about!But he is to much of a goody-two-shoes,and never lets his friends "shine" in tittles that he is in.

So I'm split.

Hey everybody likes Shadow. He's got a cool mysterious back story, which is much clearer than Sonic's, and he's morally ambiguous, that means he can get away with anything and you can't call him on it. Sure he can be a little emo, but you'd be pissed off too if the dang government busted up your house and shot your girlfriend. Plus he is stronger than Sonic (owned!).

Though I have to admit, I don't like the dirction they took his character in after SA2. When Shadow was originally brought in, he was awesome. He had great character and motivation (I'm a badass, lets kill these friggin humans). But after His death, they just brought him back with no explanation and no memory. Then they had him follow around a floting star fish (Black Doom) for an entire game just so he can save the world again, which given was kinda cool, but they took the entire game to explain stuff about Shadow we already KNEW!!

But mostly I'm just pissed off that since they memory wiped him, it reduced the chances of a canonical Shadamy pairing slightly (JUST SLIGHTLY! IT COUD TOTALLY STILL HAPPEN!) seeing as now he can't even remember who Amy is.

Over all, I definitely like Shadow better, but I just like the old him a little better. End Communication.

well I think sonic is pretty cool, but he's a little bit too 'free-spirited' and crazy for me.
however shadow's kinda emo-ish, but I think shadow's cooler.

Sonic's always the true cool blue. His personality has gotten worse with the games that have come though, I really miss the old Sonic. Like in the intro to Sonic CD, that Sonic didn't look so damn bloody cocky. He was determined to stop Robotnik, that was the face of the hero I miss. Tis why I always watch that intro, not only cuz the music rocks as well as the animation but Sonic's just... Well, I miss him like that.

Shadow's awesome in the lengths of bad-ass and violence. He doesn't take crap and can make things explode. Honestly, I don't know why people think he's emo. I've seen emo, believe me, I live in freaking Britain. Shadow doesn't even scrape the lengths of emo. He may have felt distraught over Maria's death (which he's finally let go) but at least he DID something about it. Like make people explode. =3
